I absolutely loved getting to do this. Tool are one of my oldest loves, and Justin is one of my biggest musical inspirations :) This video meant a lot to me!
It was awesome! :-)
@@1revwilly Thank you so much, I’m really happy to hear that! :)
Great to see you in another Andertons video! Keep up the great work!
I love the way you play!.. I want to see much more!
Sounds absolutely ace!
Man that bass tone is f**king savage, you guys nailed it. Great playing too, awesome video all round!
Dave and Cici crushed this, hard to say this but even better than the kings themselves Matt and Rabea would have done. Lee, give these guys the attention they deserve.
Ya'll did the most important thing Tool does - keep time tight enough to allow me to fall into a trance of the music. Really nailed it. Fantastic!
23:50 I legit got goosebumps when that swell came in, knowing what was next, and they nailed it. Crazy how tight these two are without a rhythm track! Immense players.
Dave and Cici are so delightful, and good lord what amazing players they are. This show has always been good, but this is the best it's ever been.
Bass sounds immense, the playing even better.
I love a "dirty" bass sound and Cici delivered. We also had a bit of the opening riff from Schism, so I'm happy 😄🤘
Love Cici and Dave they are so much fun. Thank you Andertons
Another excellent one. I'd love to see them do Machine Head or Mastodon. Or Gojira.
Thanks Dave, CiCi, and Andertons. That was great, excellent equipment. And pulled the sound.
Just started watching but I can already say this: OH. MY. GOD. you just made my day.
I really like how that Warwick streamer sounds
This setup seems to have made Cici immensely happy.
I don’t want to meet the person who doesn’t get happy playing Tool riffs
Going full Justin Chancellor with a full warehouse at your disposal must be huge fun for a gearhead bassplayer. And I think the tone is pretty damn close for not having the exact stuff Justin uses.
These are my favorite vids on Andertons by far. Dave and Cici are fantastic. Their tones and tight playing in this episode were absolutely on-point. Crushed it.
Wow, didn’t know you were a tool fan!! Justin is my favorite ❤️
Phenomenal!!!!
You NAILED IT!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️🎸🎸⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Outstanding!👍👍👍
Awesome job, cici and Dave
Your Vicarious was magnificent 😊
I love Tool.❤
At first I didnt think I would like this new duo for sounds like. I really enjoyed Rabea and Matt, however CiCi and Dave have grown on me quite a bit. They are very charming and entertaining together as well as being top notch players.
Yep, killed it. Most successful sounds like BY ever 🔥
You both sounded Awesome , the Mix sounds great through my Headphones , keep up the Good work .
F’n A CiCi. Crazy good sound and playing.
fact - great music can be made with cheap equipment , and bad music can be made with expensive equipment , dave cici and many others have proven you don't need expensive gear to make great music , another great vid from the andertons collaboration with dave and cici , keep em coming ...
That was really cool, & Andertons is looking SPLENDID!
@USERNAME: [MrAndertons] ^YOU’RE BUSTED, scammer! 🤗☠️
Min.19:07 killed me. WOW you two are super.
And then also Tool. I have the "Berserker" Epiphone model. it's outstanding.Cici the bass fits you like a glove.
Just take it with you LOL...
Please stay the way you are. Thumbs up
Thank you so much! :) It’s amazing that you’ve got the Adam Jones Epiphone, enjoy!! I really want one, maybe someday if it’s supposed to happen then it will :)
I absolutely loved that bass, and was lucky enough to get one just the other day!!
Damn it! This sounds so fkin good!
Outstanding video! All pumped for jam practice!
Fair winds and following seas to all.
This particular episode is awesome. Nailed it.
Only note for me is I think Justin uses the Turbo Rat, which has softer clipping LED diodes rather than silicon, so the bass is probably a touch fuzzier than Justin has it. Not complaining though; that bass tone is awesome. Maybe Justin got it wrong :p
Interesting, makes total sense. thanks Chris! :)
That was Fantastic, well done you two and Andertons for letting things like this happen 🤘
Gods bless this team 😭🕯🤘
Cici you're amazing.
This is nice! Bought my first Tool cd as a teenager over 30 years ago! All ways been a great fan of Tool and Perfect circle.
I have the Adam Jones Standard, and it's the best guitar I've ever played. Great video, guys!
I grabbed the AJ LP a year ago and I haven’t put it down since. There’s something special about this guitar. I had been searching for the accurate AJ tone for a long time and after I bought this guitar it was like viola! Good vid guys!
Please have these two do more videos in the future. Nice change up, and they're an entertaining team.
Cici's bass sound is massive, epic, and titanic!
Honestly, I was watching this while loading the dishwasher….I know, I know, how RnR can you get….and when CC’s bass was in solo at 14:54I actually dropped me spoon. Beautiful sound…wow.
despite their massive sound, tool do a gread job to give the bass some credits!! and i like that
Shes awesome, totally nailed Justins tone and technique.
Can we get a sound like for...
Dream Theater: John Petrucci/John Myung - without/BY busting
Intervals: Aaron Marshall - without/BY Busting
Slipknot: Mick Thomson/Jim Root/Paul Grey - revisited without/BY busting
Gojira: Joe Duplantier/Christian Andreu - revisited without/BY busting
Guns N' Roses: Saul "Slash" Hudson/Izzy Stradlin/Duff McKagan - revisited without/BY busting
Steve Vai: without/BY busting
Oasis: Noel Gallagher/Paul Arthurs - BY busting
Black Country Communion's Joe Bonamassa - BY busting
Metallica: James Hetfield/Kirk Hammett/Cliff Burton - revisited BY busting
If you only asked, you could have borrowed my '84 Wal custom :) If you want a new one, it's many years on the waiting list!
Wow! I bet it’s a beauty :)
Hey! You forgot Danny. Great job, you guys sounded really tight.
Good stuff. How about sound like Nova Twins? Would love to see Cici having a go at Georgia’s sounds.
Your guitar intro for Lateralus stopped me dead, I was surprised you guys didn't get a copyright strike with how accurate that was.
CC KILLS IT YET AGAIN WHAT A SETUP SHE HAD, JOHNS WAS PRETTY DARN GOOD AS WELL, PS CC WHERE DID YA GET DEM BOOTS ?
cheers guys she is epic,
that was fantastic guys!
That Jubilee did a great job with the Adam Jones standard did a really good job considering your comparing it to his actual 3 amp set up.
Dave is brilliant as ever but man, Cici makes we weep. That playing and sounds from bass have me eyeing getting a bass now. With effects and amps the sounds are so varied and maybe I’ve been hearing Tool wrong all these years. ❤❤
The bass was spot on 👍🏻
All hail Dave Simpson 🙌❤️
That bass tone is f**kin killer!!!
I have searched extensively for alternatives to Wal basses and the closest match is the G&L L-2000 or any bass that can fit Nordstrand big blademan pickups(these were based on Justins tone) and preamp.
A good bit of the recorded guitar tone is using Wizard amps which are based on the 2550 so that amp is actually a decent choice to get in the ballpark.
That was bloody amazing! You guys totally nailed it. The bass totally blew me away, and the LP…. well yes if I had the cash I’d buy it in the blink of an eye. Thank you both.
Nailed the tones guys! Well done!
Both Cici and Dave absolutely hit this for six! Would love to see a Sound Like episode on the Spiders from Mars, David Bowie’s backing band in the early 1970s, as unlikely as this request is going to be taken seriously.
Awesome job and sound as always!! Great duo and addition to Andertons!
You guys sound sick together. Cici's bass tone was MONSTROUS.
That bass tone for Forty Six & 2 was crazy, almost like someone took a sitar or something like that and brought the whole sound down an octave.
You had me at Tool!
Cici Chancellor nailed the bass 💯 percent. And I’m saying that as a guitar player. I’m giving Dave Jones 8/10. I kinda expected a tiny bit more on the amp side of things. Sure the Jubilee gives you the Marshall bark. But it’s missing the Diezely aggressive mids for me. I presume you didn’t have a VH4. But maybe a Dual Rectifier, Überschall or even a Victory VX Kraken would’ve been closer I think. No offense tho, great tones!!! Plus the AJ silver burst is juuuust beautiful isn’t it?!
I saw a Tom Morello live setup video, and he also uses a lot of Boss pedals. It was explained that if something breaks, it’s so much easier to replace a Boss pedal than something rare or vintage, since Boss pedals are available everywhere.
P.S. that was absolutely mental!
Killer video, killer tones, and killer playing! Dave's stellar on guitar as usual and Cici's an absolute *monster* on that bass!
Nice, my band and I are covering Sober so it was great hearing it here but I honestly have to say that this was really close. That Les Paul and Warwick were perfect picks because obviously it’s Adam Jones’ signature Silverburst and I’m pretty sure that Justin Chancellor recently started playing Warwicks so you guys definitely nailed it
Yea it's a funny thing, i tink he did videos with Wariwck basses, but when i saw him Frankfurt last year, he played his Wal
@@InvictusBananman Oh, is he playing Wal again? Nice
@@andrewpappas9311 at least he was at the last european Tour
@@InvictusBananman It's important to note Warwick gave him a bass, not that he's playing it with Tool
First time seeing this bass player on the channel but GOD her tone is phenomenonal
Great job Cici and Dave!
sound is spot on, great job!!😎
Yep! Tool are pretty special ! I’ve seen twice, once in Seoul in 2006 and another in Adelaide a few years ago. Perfect!
Bravo!! love these "sound like " vids!
Hey can you do a sound like where you accidentally invite the artist you try to sound like? It would lighten everyone's spirits to say the least :) . the worse the equipment picks the funnier the video would get
“Hey Adam, Danny, Justin and Maynard, would you mind hopping on a plane to Guildford real quick to shoot that youtube video?” - “We are on the way” 🌀
There is literally no world class name would do that for you...
@@achill3usoverclocking874 please don't underestimate people's willingness of doing something just for the shits and giggles.
@@PetreRodan Look who is showing up in TPS
Or better yet, try to come up with a sound that is your own, instead of trying to be someone you're not.
I came back now after 5 months or so just to hear this bass tone again. It's SOOO good. Good Job Cici!
awesome tones and renditions of the songs!
Dave and Cici you both nailed it, was so entertaining watching this
Awesome.
Can you please do a Sound Like for Boris???? Would be thunderous!!
Sound like Rush would be awesome! You guys are the best. Great video as always!
Best Andertons episode I’ve seen I think!
You should do a sounds like white zombie by busting the bank
Incredible playing Cici and Dave!!
Love this!!! You guys are the best
Both rigs sound amazing on this one !
You both killed it. Well done. Great video.
great video. great tones. fuckin love TOOL. and love Dave a Cici such a great combo in every video they do
Just love Dave and Cici! And especially love anything Tool. And you guys did a super job!!!
Great tone and killer playing!
Cheap version was epic, cant wait to see how it sound this Time ! 😮 🤘🏼
You two are so synced up. That vicarious cover was tight!
Fantastic tone from both of you - really impressive stuff guys, I love it. The Deep Purple one was great and this is if anything even better! Please do keep them coming, and yes, please try to use a widest possible range of equipment and set-ups, because that makes it even more interesting. Stuff like two bass amps - one for clean and one for dirty for example.
I wish I could give this video more "likes." You gius killed it!
Yes, I've been waiting for this this one and Cici and Dave rocked it!
Absolutely LOVE you two 😍😍😍
It's so fun watching u guys do these demo/ classes so cool 😎 ❤🎸🎛🥁🎶
Oh my damn! That was awesome!
That Vicarious though.. holy moly
Lovin' those bass tones!
This is so wicked!! Big Digs!!! Cheers!;-)!
Sound like Placebo please 🙏
