You both absolutely crushed this. Hearing you on John’s parts and Cici nailing Flea’s really put a smile on my face. This was the proper “sounds like Chili Peppers” re-do we’ve been waiting for, for years!
I loved it when you said Dave would be attempting to sound like Dave Navarro. Flea is one of my all-time favorite bassists. You did an excellent job recreating his sound, especially the part where you played the intro to Around the World. Awesomeness!!
Love the chemistry between Cici and Dave! Revisiting Black Sabbath on the list, perhaps? I’d argue Geezer‘s bass tone is just as vital an element of the band’s sound as Tony Iommi‘s guitar…
Man, I'm digging these two so much. They just have great energy and play off each other's humor perfectly. Don't think the Captain could have found a better duo to have as hosts.
11:55 I loved the old “Sounds Like,” but c’mon now… this sounded so dead-on it’s not even funny. Cici’s bass tone *and* playing sounded dang near identical to Flea on that track, and Dave (of course) nailed Frusciante’s tone and playing. Awesome job from these two! Edit: 17:17 Also so dead-on. These two CRUSHED IT, both tone AND playing!
I like how Dave shared the tip on lowering the pickups. Not most people share important tips like this that make a huge difference. Thanks Dave you are a class act! Rock on
Love how quickly you lot adapt to critique - last episode people said they wanted to see more of the decision process and the very next episode we get exactly that. Bravo.
I absolutely adore listening to Cici and Dave both play and interact. They mesh so amazingly well together, and each have such fantastic talent. Really, it feels like they're a matched set that should never be separated.
Just dripped funk all over this video. Love these two together. How the hell Cici plays that bass with those tiny hands, I'll never know. Just incredible playing and chemistry on these lately. These two are fantastic together.
This is the best episode of the series! I’ve been following David on social for quite a while now, he’s always nice and funny, he’s the "most fruscianteing guitarist" I know, love him! I hope to see more episodes with the two of them together, they are so good!
@@jasonpatrickdeleon4701 it means they both must pick gear within a set budget - maybe £1500 for their guitar, amps and pedals. There are also many videos of 'by busting the bank' so sky's the limit with chosen gear. There's loads of older videos in the series and are worth checking out.
A collaboration made in Heaven. Wonderful stuff. I'd love them to go back before their time and explore Entwistle Townshend, Fraser Kossoff, Squire Howe. I'd especially like to see them do a study of Mr. Big by Free with Cici taking the lead in the second half of the song.
I love it how Cici is so concerned with creating the almost never played live but magnificent Sir Psycho Sexy. The band should take note we need it and more Blood Sugar Sex Magic tracks performed again!
Her humility cracks me up. "Yeah, just give me a basic bass and whatever, I'll make it work." Exactly the kind of person that makes making music great.
Man BSSM had some sick guitar and bass parts in it. Dave is a genius, I’ve spent £1000’s on gear and he can sound more like John using an elastic band.
Great timing guys. I live next to Marlay Park so I was listening to RHCP doing soundcheck a few hours ago, and I'm heading over tonight for the concert. This is the perfect video to watch before the gig. And speaking of gigs, I hope your recent one went well. Thanks Dave and Cici.
Having been so lucky to see the Chili Peppers in London last weekend this video could not have come at a better time. Dave you have Johns tones, style and feel of playing on lock down mad respect. Escpecially love the 2007 era intro jam sound with the delay and wah. Cici you are spot on with Flea's jazz bass sound and that Behringer distortion sounded sick for Around The World! Can't wait to see who you will sound like next.
This was a lot better than the previous videos. It was easier to follow your thought processes and the shootout concept was a cool twist. Look forward to seeing more of you two!
That was great. Thank you for listening to the previous comments and showing more of the selection process and not choosing so much ultra-budget gear (although it seems Dave can’t always help himself). Great playing, great chemistry, what more could you ask for?
Today we have Dave as John frusciante. Cici as flee. And Pete as where’s Wally. 🤣 always popping up somewhere and trying to get out of shot .. great vid all.
Wild! You guys nailed it! I have a ridiculous delay pedal collection. I don’t know why, I just keep buying delays! Anyways. I bought my wife her first pedalboard rig, pedals included in 2017 and ended up getting “The prophet” as it was a really fantastic delay for the money, and I figured it would be a good intro into delays for her. It’s just. SO much more than that! She doesn’t use it anymore as she’s gotten into bass and likes to distort it with fuzz pedals and massive distortion engines. So the prophet hangs out with my gear. And I can’t believe how good it is! And how well it stands up in comparison to more expensive delays. Had a Q-Tron but got rid of it years back. I’m missing it now! Great job 👏!
I love these two. It is also really smart to show that you can get gear that sounds great without busting the bank.Lee, more blind shootouts please. It would be fun to Dave in the blindfold!
You both did excellent job. I'm happy and feeling warm inside seeing how much thought and heart Dave got into sounding like rhcp and how the hell did he got this result with cheap equipement. It's actually 100% there... It only shows he's proffesor of Frusciante :D. Amazing. Cici is great too I'm just guitarist and fan of john so that made most impressed. They have great chemistry together I would gladly watch segment hosted by those two.
This is fantastic!! I Love this "Approach UA-cam guitarists who are big fans of certain artists - and see what they come up with under a budget" type of video!! Dave is probably one of the best experts on JF and his GF will be interesting to see here lol!!
Mad respect to Anderson's TV for featuring Dave on your channel.. he's the man.
but why respect??? he is a great guitarist and employee like all in this team!!! this comment is quite disrespectful, even if you don´t mean it
@Chris Kim the word RESPECT is totally wrong! it has a fishy taste
@@SirBender look up respect it’s a compliment you have it all wrong
@@SirBender no sir, it just mean kudos to Anderton’s. Dont dwell on it.

Dave is like a monk who has devoted his life to Fruscianteism. These tones are spot on
He's an Amazing Talent! He can sound like just about ANYONE. His sound like Hendrix was amazing.

this Dave guy maybe is the best Guitar -soundalike- all over the net.
I’ve watched this twice now these two jam together so nicely
This was an absolute blast to film :)

That was bloody marvellous, Cici x

Tony has said so himself. The "wall of sound" as he put it.
yup

Crazy how close they got with the tones
Keep having Dave and cici on the show they are absolutely incredible bringing knowledge and unique personalities to the channel
It goes without saying but this is the most accurate Chillis sound on Andertons TV by a country mile!!! Cheers from Florida!
Great to see them finding their groove, and now talking through their choices.
That Scar Tissue solo gave me the chills, you sound exactly like John, excellent one!
Dave & CiCi together are MAGIC. They are stars of such magnitude they should have their own show. Well done Andertons, I love these videos.
Dave and Cici, we're made for this. I'd like to eventually see them doing a Busting the Bank, to see Dave using equipment he'd never pick himself.
Definitely
lol thats a great idea cuz he loves cheap gear...now i'm really curious what he would pick if it had to be expensive gear
Yes! Would to see Dave forced to spend money on overly expensive gear 😀
