This must be a really special truck for Derek to be wearing his goin' to town shirt.
...I like the way Derek is acting and walking around in the background, like he's a extra on a movie set, trying to act Nonchalant 😄 ...and inconspicuous.
Derek is like a knowledgeable toddler that bangs around on stuff until something happens.
he's actually a really good mechanic. I consider myself to be very knowledgable myself but I wouldn't dare driving a car thats been sitting for 30 plus years a long distance. I'd have an anxiety attack when it eventually broke down.
Derek just stands back and doesnt show them up with his knowledge-thats class.
Derek always looks like his a 60 year old Florida resident on vacation when appearing on other channels. Love it.

Just throwing this out there for what it's worth, something my dad taught me as a kid to clean jets. We used to take the extra pieces of guitar strings that are clipped off after putting new strings on and use those to clean out jets. The wire being wound acts like a scrubber and the different size wires for different size jets.
Coming from a guitar player and a youtube hobby mechanic, that's genius

I have a 1977 Dodge D200 Adventurer. All the same junk under the hood....similar condition. Starts up after few pumps of gas or just keeping it to floor. It sat for 3 yrs at one point. Gave it 2 pumps, held it to floor.....vvvrrrooommm! It's a beast. Everybody seems to want the damn thing too. ...crazy
When it comes to unclogging jets, I always keep a pack of guitar strings handy. You have six different sizes, and they last forever. Nothing is better for unclogging a jet.
