LIFESAVER!!!! Did your tutorial on a 2015 Mac 12” in a slight different way and it worked perfectly. The motherboard was/ is broke. Apple shops told us nothing we can do and all files are gone. We started the Mac and running on power cord now and are syncing and saving all documents to iCloud and transferring to new Mac (somehow iCloud didn’t upload 31GB of our data previously). Can’t thank you enough, without this video all would have been lost forever! THANK YOU!!!
You’re the best! I’ve spent all day doing most of the steps you mentioned that I found on various forums but the removal of battery and the 3 clicks of power button was the winner. Had not seen that on anything else. You rock!
Thank you so much for saving my Mac from landing in the bin! I had tried several recommendations but they all ended in disbelief. I found your channel and finally someone that had a new idea that worked. I also disconnected the SSD and installed it again since I had SSD errors as well. Very happy!
Hi Chad, after buying a MacBook Pro from Bay 2015 13 inch. I plugged it in and put all my information on. 8 hours layer, I plugged it in. Alas, no light on the charger. No power, totally dead. After instructions for the seller and going through different methods, like you described. Nothing. I sent it back and my cost to send it. It turned out to be the logic board. It was changed and sent back to me at no charge. It works like new now, with a new battery as well. An amazing seller and very professional. I shows that it can be deeper than a few finger presses and battery discharge. but a good video from you none the less. 2015 and getting 9.5 hours battery life on average.
Thank you Chaq!! I bought the tools, and using the third method, my 2015 MBP works fine now - it came back to life!! I initially thought the battery had died.
🎉 Amazing! I did all the steps using the keyboard and nothing. I was afraid I had a brick. So I bought the appropriate screwdriver to take the back off and disconnect the battery. It worked! Put it all back together and it’s still working. Thank you!!
Thank you SO SO much for this video - you just saved me £1000 and revived my MacBook Air 2017! For those with the same model, for Step 3, just gently pull the plastic tab down to disconnect and slide the connector back in to reconnect at the end. Absolute life saver - thank you! ❤

My laptop doesn’t turn on no matter how much i try, it’s not even charging sometimes it turns on and shows a white screen and immediately gets turned off. How do i solve this problem?
Hi Raisa, do you see any sign when it shows the white screen? Something like a folder with a question mark or anything like that?
@@Chaq no just blank white screen
@@raisalabiba8543 alright, DM me on Instagram @bychaq and I’ll try my best to help

The reset option worked for me. Thank you!
THANK YOU!!!!!!!!! I have a different Mac and was a bit scared of doing something wrong, but just by finding the battery connection on another video, I tried, and it worked!!!!!
Also, my Mac didn't shut down right away, I also got scared by that 😅, but I just closed it and hoped for the best and now my computer is working again!! 😊 THANKS again ❤❤❤
None of the steps worked for me.
Thank you so much I was so scared it’s my first time doing this and the last method worked for me ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Thank you so much ❤️❤️❤️
Last option worked for me!!! If I can give this video a thousand likes I will!
Thank you Chaq for posting this!! I have a MacBook Air Retina 2017 - Core i5 and the only thing that worked for me was the last step. Spent all weekend trying to turn it on using the other steps. So close to giving up and sending it in for repair. Finally ordered the screwdrivers and when I unplugged the battery, attached the power cord and opened the laptop…tada! It was already turned on, didn’t even have to push the power button. I was so pleasantly surprised and relieved. I hope others the best of luck!!
I appreciate the information however wouldn’t it be better for you to go ahead and show us that you were able to power up the Mac completely?
Worked at step 2. Much appreciated!👍🏽
same!
Did u lose all saved files??
@@nickgera9605
No, nothing was lost at all.
The last step worked perfectly thank you very much...
Did u buy the tool ?
It worked just fine by unmounting the cover and disconnecting the battery! Thank you very much!

Thanks! The final tip worked for me!
They steps really worked!
I just tried this on a MacBook that hasn’t turned on in 2 years! Worked like a charm!
Thanks dude💜🙏..step 3 actually worked for me
I nearly fainted and thought my macbook was gone forever 😂😂
Currently freaking out bc mine won’t turn on
Thank you so much, disconnecting the battery and reconnecting fixed my dead Macbook Pro 2011!!!! 💻 Video was clear and concise, and worked for me. Cheers and thanks!!!! 🍾
Worked for me -- Needed to disconnect the battery. Needed to get the screw drivers to accomplish this, but it worked! Very helpfull. Thank you!
Next Level Video Bro ❤️
OMG THANK YOU SM I have school in the morning my Mac wouldn’t power on thank you sm 😭😭😭🎉
Strangely, I have been trying so many things and suddenly just pressing the power button for 8 seconds and then pressing the power button again 3 times, brought it back to life. I have a Macbook Pro 2017 15 inch
Thanks a lot. You saved me a trip to the Apple Store.
Eventually found out the battery had a problem which even Apple Support couldn’t detect. A local Mac repair fixed it.
Thank you so much! Step 3 worked and very grateful for the easy fix and for your informative video!
You go through all those steps showing great details. Then at the end you never powered up the Mac after reconnecting the battery.
Just repaired my 2017 MacBook Pro using this video as a guide.
If you live an Australia go to JB Hifi for the XCD precision screwdriver set. It’s the 1.2 screw head - Not the T4.
Thanks so much for the video mate. Saved the day.
Disassembly was slightly different. The back plate was an absolute cn***t to get off, but with another quick clip I found on how to remove the back, I was sweet.
Thank god I thought I wasn’t gonna be able to connect to school today phew thanks man!
Video starts at 1:13 you’re welcome
No way😮 If this works I will subscribe straight away. Tried everything on my Mac Book Pro, but didn't tried the battery thing as nobody says nothing about this. I'll keep you updated. It'll be a miracle🎉

I’m a 12 year old do you think I can do this I can’t tell my mom or dad they would not be happy
Hi Nuggie, firstly I’m sorry for your macbook! Before, tell me which macbook model do you have? And also, do you have someone older around to assist you while performing the steps?
@@Chaq Mack book air and no I have noone
@@matchafroggie1959 okay, try step 1 and step 2 only, and let me know if it worked! Could you also explain me how your macbook stopped working? Did it fall down or anything like that?
Worked for my macbook pro retina 2012 also. I had to disconnect the Battery. Was not turning on only with power adapter attached. Connected battery around 5-6 times. Than it worked for me. Thank you so much. Great hint
Hi Chaq,
Thank you for your video instructions on youtube, you help so many people to solve their technical issue.
I found your video on youtube because my MacBook Air (late 2015) won’t turn on.
I followed all the instructions you gave in this exact video “MacBook WON’T TURN ON Fix in 3 minutes, I did all the steps including unscrewing the bottom panel, and disconnected the battery, but it did not help. My MacBook Air still doesn’t want to turn on.
Also I followed the link you provided to have a chat with you about technical issues, and paid for that, but it doesn’t seem to have a follow up or any further instruction on how can I reach you for help. Thank you and will be looking forward for some follow up. Have a great day!

It worked for me after trying again and again, and after resetting the PRAM. Thank you Chaq.
You're most welcome!
