Great stuff, Andrew. As a non-musician I can never get enough of these up-close playthrough videos. It blows my mind to watch how notes are played and the dexterity and muscle memory it takes to do what you guys do. Have a great weekend, dude.
As a musician, I think this was incredibly kind to tell him because it seems so genuine and sweet. You seem like a good dude. Maybe one day you can start playing these sorts of riffs and impress yourself! (However I assure you it becomes less impressive as you learn the instrument unfortunately)
Also that wasnt a diss at Baena. I meant that as in Im not impressed by myself when I can play a riff that I once thought was nutty awesome. Sounded rude the way i said it before
@@jarodcamden650 Nah I'm with you there bud. Before I learned to play I couldn't figure out how they could possibly be playing that stuff. Now there's no mystery. A silly example is I used to think the riff from Rammstein's Du Hast was an extremely impressive riff until I learned to play.
I'm always amazed seeing playthrough. I could never articulate stringed instruments, so I guess that what makes it interesting to me lol.
@@korlryan5669 dude I thought the same thing, when I first picked up the guitar I couldn't even strum a power cord. Just bite the bullet and get a cheap used electric guitar. With some time it will become natural to you 🤘👍

I absolutely adore the fact they mixed the cleans along with the screaming on this record. it is so refreshing and brings a whole new rage of emotion to the songs and vocal delivery.

@@axlej11 the guitarist himself ben savage himself said its all top string in a lesson i had with jim before a show. We played it together and he was relieved to see me playing it on the top string haha
Hey Andrew. I’ve been a subscriber of yours for a long time and I have recently been thinking about picking up guitar again. I used to play way back in high school but I haven’t played in probably 8 or 9 years. I sold my guitars and amps a while back and now I’m thinking about buying a guitar and starting over.
I don’t have a ton of money to spend, let’s say roughly $800 - $1,200 for the guitar itself. Do you have any solid suggestions for guitars around that range? I’m definitely leaning toward a 7 or perhaps even an 8 string.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Don't remember exactly, but heard that they had some songs on 8 string. Section 8 or something, at least they sound quite meshugg-ish.
Section 8 is Drop G on a seven the only eight string songs they've done are Devolver and Single file to dehumanization from A New Era 😁
