I honestly believe if the Chef made a 10 minute video showing us how to boil water it would be interesting and I'd learn something!
And I'd somehow screw it up!
One thing I already learnt: Don't boil the water with more than 100°C, the caramelization will make it too dry and it will lose all flavor!
@@KENFEDOR22 Welcome to the club!
@@NICEFINENEWROBOT LOL...I never knew that!
Lol! Amen
It always makes me smile every time he just chucks a seemingly random amount of something in while saying "make sure you measure everything carefully".
After years of experience it's easy to eye-ball the measurements
Yes, he is a true chef... I have seen very few as good as him while I was very young and working in Europe in the Hotel industry... It brings back memories of easier times
It would be an honor to have you as my friend, chef!
🙏🙏🙏😊
He’s all of our friends, watch the video he says hello friends :) ❤
Why do you wanna be his friend? You'll become a fat bastard
@@jackyoung3046 I’m already fat. Better to die fat and happy than hungry and miserable.
Wa La! Perfection!🇺🇸👏🏻🇺🇸
greatest cooking channel on youtube.
Calling us friends is so much better than the attitude some have these days.
I love when you explain how the equipment works with how you are cooking the food. Understanding the details is necessary.
I'm rewatching this today because it is going to be our Dinner.
🙏🙏🙏😊
Chef gets more views on his channel than MSM. That's proof of his popularity, in the pudding ♥️♥️♥️♥️🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦
Friends with the best chef on UA-cam? You bet!
HELLO FRIENDS!
Hello!
Good morning!
Hello! Chef’s friends are my friends, too.
I watch a lot of cooking videos and I never seen so many men say that they love the instructor like on your site.
You bring out the best in people with your contagious personality.
Thank you so much for your kindness and instruction..
Peace and love
Awesome! Thank you Joe!😊
That’s absolutely true. I am a reasonably good hobby cook and already know most of the techniques and classic recipes, but still pick something up here and there and love his personality. For me cooking is more than just a craft. Hospitality, red wine fueled discussions, creativity and laughter. He is the embodiment of that.
With 845.000 subscriber's that just shows you my friend how respected you are...
Thank you for your "FRIENDS " explanation! I've never seen a you tube presenter ever say that to the audience!!!
Famous Chef Jean-Pierre quotes: “Hello friends”. “Onyo always first unless there’s bacon, then it’s bacon first”, “Everything is better with butter”, “Don’t cook with the wine you’re not willing to drink”, "The size of the slice equals the size of the dice" and “It’s amazing”. Thanks for all you do Chef. Cheers. 🍔🍲🍷🍛🐟🧄🧅🥓🙂
Measure carefully! *winkwink*

Let me tell you, Chef. We are so glad to have you here with us teaching on UA-cam. I’ve learned so much from you and I feel a lot more comfortable in the kitchen. With all the craziness in the world, how nice that your channel has been here. Can’t thank you enough.
I'm British and had no idea what a sloppy joe was, never mind a not-so-sloppy joe. now i want one!
Sloppy joe is the actual american president. Hahahaha
@@PyromancerRift Lol!!!
@@PyromancerRift hey not one to weigh in on politics of other countries so while that made me laugh I can't agree or disagree 😁
I guess this is an American classic but chef did add some of his own twist to it. Try 'em, they really are tasty. I think I'd pair it with good ol' potato chips(crisps) and a cold beer. Enjoy!
@@daphnepearce9411 love it thank you so much for taking the time to reply, I'm going to make it tomorrow
I would say in 2 months Chef will reach 1M subscribers. Let's help share this good message.
Greetings from Rhode Island my friend. We love you Chef.
That has to be the prettiest, non sloppiest Joe I have ever seen.
When Chef’s fingers gets the twirling after his first bite, we know it was fire!!! 🥹🔥😩
Making this for sure 🙌🏽
The saying is “the Devil’s in the details”. I love it when you make homey food❤️
I was going to say that too, but add the other variant, by an architect, that "God is in the details".
You are a Sheer Master at showing people the art of Cooking a TRUE Chef! I thank you my friend from Calgary, Alberta, Canada!!! When I come down that way I will see if available!!
I always appreciate the chefs that make you feel like you are there with a very friendly environment. This is why I became a subscriber.

Being an aussie I'll say g'day mate and you're absolutely correct about the channel being appreciated!

There’s a big difference between when I forget my toasted buns and when Chef Jean Pierre forgets! When I forget my buns are burnt black, when Chef forgets his buns they are toasted perfect golden brown!!!

Love you my friend!!❤
Funny comment, but rest assure that I have experienced the burnt buns experience more time that I can count! 😊

This looks absolutely DELICIOUS. In the U.S. we add cream of mushroom soup to our sloppy joes.
"The devil is in the detail" Chef - always!!!
Every time I hear and see you say "Hello Friends" I feel that you truly mean it ... my friend 🤩!! You're simply unique and it extends to the way you teach, the way you radiate love of life as well as the way you cook. I've never seen anyone cook with so much sincere compassion and love and it comes over through the internet cables to Egypt - un très très gros bisous, your friend Eleonora 🥰!
Your are too kind💕 ! I am blessed to have you guys as my friends! Godspeed! 🙏🙏🙏
Chef, this channel is one of the very few bright spots to have come out of the lockdowns! I've always loved to cook and often thought of taking classes. Now I can do it from home!
Hello my friend. I like, watch and save all of your videos every night before I go to sleep. I cannot wait until I get a new place to live with a big enough countertop, my table, dishes and furniture back with me out of storage so I can cook all your delicious recipes. You are truly the best chef. I so enjoy your videos. Thank you my friend. ❤
The Devi is in the details is the phrase I think you were thinking of.
👍👍👍😊
Chef, as you guided in the recent video, we made a menu. We had 2 brioche buns laying around and had just made the marinara sauce. WOW. These Sloppy Joes were a knockout. Not only didn't you use a pre-mix spice bag, but you used no dry spices at all and it tasted more vibrant than any sloppy joe we had ever eaten. Didn't feel bloated afterwards, either. Truly, chef, a special recipe (as if you need another opinion). Love to you guys
Ahhhh yay it’s Thursday, Chef JP time! 😃
What a coincidence! As I was driving to my studio this morning, the people on the radio were talking about sloppy joe's! Bravo, maestro! And thank you for the terrific recipe. We love you, too, maestro! And God bless YOU!!!
🙏🙏🙏👍
Cheese is like ammunition Never can have enough.
God Bless all my friends here.
If anyone has a difficult time finding harissa, I’ve seen plenty of recipes online how to make homemade. And you can find several other recipes that use harissa in it such as harissa chicken so you don’t have to worry about not using it. Or…. if you can’t find any uses for it immediately I’m sure harissa keeps well in the freezer for 17 years. 😉
Great, comment thank you very much
What a character! I love watching this channel. Not only do you learn so much from Chef Jean-Pierre, but you are constantly entertained!
Remember measure carefully. I love it when he says this.
Hello Chef Pierre, I am from the US, Ohio, and I am proud to have you as my friend. I have made many of your dishes, and my husband goes around telling everyone about what we had for dinner and says that I watch videos on UA-cam, and asks me who is that chef so he can brag about you!!! He never can remember, but he always asks!!! I hope you have a great day my friend!!!
1000 likes in an hour. That is well deserved and it speaks volumes!!! WE LOVE CHEF!!
WE ALL LOVE CHEF.... because he is amazing, funny, knowledgeable, unique and sooooooo helpful as well as incredibly entertaining.
To top it all ..his recipes are wonderfully delicious and he makes it easy to understand and follow.
This man is on his way to being a UA-cam God.
😁👍
You always make me smile Chef and that to me is absolutely priceless. Learning to cook has saved me and I am forever grateful to you friend.
CJP you are doing more than teaching. Your approach to instruction inspires people to want to cook. This will change people lives. Generations of people that you will never meet or know will be impacted. There is no greater legacy.
I was a Chef a long time ago. I worked at a Country Club. I could memorize 6 or 7 tickets at a time easily.
I remembered every recipe I ever cooked. I quit Cooking 30 years ago.
Now I'm 67 and I have a disease they call CRS, Can't Remember Sheit. I get it that Jean-Pierre forgets.
Now, whenever I cook I always look up Jean-Pierre on UA-cam because I can't remember Sheit.
Thank God for Jean-Pierre My # 1 Go To Chef. If it weren't for him I'd be eating hotdogs every day.
Can’t help but to smile seeing you taste your food.
That’s the best looking (not so sloppy) sloppy Joe ever ! My husband was helping me unpack groceries and saw items I’ve never purchased before. He said Oh Chef must have a new recipe 😂 He finally said send me a link. He’s making the potato croquettes this weekend 👍🏼👍🏼 A new fan is born !
Plating a Sloppy Joe with a ring mold is certainly a new one to me.
We love it when you call us friends, my friend.
Chef, you are absolutely THE BEST channel on youtube. You are so cheerful and funny, and when a master chef is willing to teach me how to make a humble sloppy Joe, it shows what a REAL human you are!💝
Made my day once again. Who else could make a . . . not so sloppy, sloppy Joe and make it incredible. Keep it up chef! We love your work.
I love Chef Jean Pierre. I love this man.
I love you Chef Jean Pierre.
Chef JP, call me friend for as long as you want.😃It would be wonderful! I don’t mind watching your more than half an hour video, I always learn something.
If someone has an issue watching your longer video or getting offended by you calling your viewers/UA-cam culinary students, friends, then this channel may not be for them. This is almost like a virtual culinary class, and it’s for FREE. 😂 I thank you and your team for being so generous!!👍🏻👍🏻
Chef, I love your energy and enthusiasm for cooking. I've been watching this channel since about the first time you posted the frittata recipe a few years ago and I've learned a lot from you. Not only because your recipes are amazing but because you are open about making mistakes and you show how to fix them. Those small little details make all the difference! I am, for sure, glad to be your friend even though we may never meet 😁
You certainly make us, the audience, feel like friends. You always make my day, thank you!
Jean Pierre the “devil is in the details”. This is my husbands favoriteIm gonna have to try this ❤
I consider it a privilege to call you a friend back then chef.
God bless you Chef J.-P. Your channel is a blessing from God. Your recipes are amazing and your "Sloppy Joe" is terrific. You bring so much joy and light into our lives and we all love you for that. Don't ever stop. Your recipes make our day!
I have worked in a kitchen in various roles, though no papers for any roles. Your channel has made me fall in love with cooking again. Love the passion Chef
I'm Australian never heard of a sloppy Joe I want to make one, thank you chef.
So much charisma
My dear Jean-Pierre, I'm an editor and a lector, harrissa is not only from Morocco the origen es the belt of the coastline from Morocco tu Tunesia. The best harrissa you find in Algeria and Tunesia.....and by the way, I wrote recipes for year, your way to show how to cook is simply out of this world.
Thank you joe! Share the recipe for your Harissa @ youtube@chefJP.com 😊
I tried adding (mozzarella) cheese to my sloppy joes some years ago, now can't eat them without it. Along with the added flavor it also helps to bind the other ingredients a bit, hence less slop👍
I don't know any other expressions but: "Onyo is always number first, unless bacon." 😁 Privileged to call you friend as well. Love this channel! It has SO much improved my cooking skills. Thank you, friend. Thank you very much, Chef.❤
Can't wait to make this UPscale Sloppy-Joe :)
*Thank you, so much for caring to share!*
God bless you too, Jean Pierre. Thanks for making us smile every day.
Love your channel Chef, I love butter and I love you!

@@ChefJeanPierre I watched your rack of lamb, Australia and NZ have the best lamb. As an Aussie loved the call out!
Hey Chef Jean Pierre, This is Derek and you may or may not remember me but I sold you what I believe was your first Porsche 930 Turbo (black) way back in the early 90's when I worked at Fort Lauderdale Collection. You were the coolest client I ever dealt with and you generously offered me a complimentary dinner at the Left Bank that I immediately accepted and ended up taking my dad with me to enjoy which is an understatement, to say the least. The left bank was my first fine dining experience and I'll never forget it. It was truly the best meal I had ever eaten and every bite of every single thing served felt like I was in heaven and unlike anything I have ever eaten until this day! Soon after that I got married and took my wife there and had another amazing experience. Not too long after that you started the cooking school and as a birthday gift I paid for a series of classes for my wife Sherri and she absolutely loved it! So did I, especially the turkey stuffed peppers with red bell pepper coulis which was one of my absolute favorites! Last night I made this Sloppy Joe recipe and it came out incredible! Everyone who tried it could not believe how delicious it was and it will be something I make regularly for sure! Next on the list is going to be the Meatloaf and your Mashed potatoes recipe and then on to the Onyo Soup! I'm so glad to see how well your channel is doing and wish you continued success! I'd kill to have another opportunity to enjoy another meal prepared by you someday but since that will probably never happen at least I can try to recreate your cooking magic from watching your videos and attempt to do it myself. Thanks for everything Jean Pierre I'll never forget not only your amazing cooking but how awesome of a person in general you are. Au revoir!
I've made this now 3 times and it keeps getting better and better every time! Thanks again for this great recipe!
I"ve never been a sloppy joe fan, but this! This looks amazing! Thank you Chef JP
Stop being ridiculous 🤣
Ben, Welcome 2 the club.
Me neither, not even when I was a wee one. This Joe here though? A different animal altogether, and I really want one.

The saying is “The devil is in the detail” and is idiom alluding to a catch or mysterious element hidden in the details; it indicates that "something may seem simple, but in fact the details are complicated and likely to cause problems".
only a chef can make a sloppy joe look so elegant.
Your love has not been misplaced
I am going to make this Chef! Reminds me of my youth my Mom making sloppy joes for us kids for dinner.
Love it when you call us FRIENDS Chef!
Hi chef J P a other great video never disappoint cheers chef
Who says a Chef does not like a good "burger". Well the best thing about Chef JP is, we can be friends and he shares all his tricks. ✌
Chef Jean Pierre, could you teach us how to do the pan-flip properly? Short video on how to hold the pan, what are the best types of pan are, best way to practice, different pans etc. Would much rather learn this from you than other youtubers. And thank you for all your fine recipes!
Great Recipe Chef! I look forward to trying it. Your ingredients look delicious.
Looks great as always. I’ll give this a try when it gets a little colder outside.
I was wondering if you could show us how to make some steak house side dishes, like creamed spinach, sweet potato soufflé, mushroom with pearl onions. I bet your recipes will be amazing.
Awesome idea, Thank you! We'll do ASAP! 👍😊
I'm getting hungry. Thank you my friend.
When I make my home made sloppy joes, I also add the tops (chopped) of green onion (ohnion). That with the parsley just adds so much flavor.
Mustard....🤤

The cheese is important, as it regulates how hot the chili comes through - if it is to hot - for some, then add a more cheese. But it is a great dish when you are camping with a gas flame cooker. Great for barbeque.

Those piano fingers going fast and furious! My childhood memories are of the sloppy joey pouring over the buns in open face fashion. You are most definitely a friend as you have taught me so much ! ! ! That is a true friend
When I lived in Fort Lauderdale back in the 80’s and 90’s, my wife and I would go to the Left Bank, Chef Jean-Pierre’s restaurant near Las O’las, on special occasions. He would cook right at table side with a cart and entertain us with his personality. Roll up the cart and make us shrimp scampi. It was fun. Many years later, here his is on UA-cam. Still entertaining and charming. Make cooking fun.
How am I just now finding you?? I love your energy! I just watched the butter video.
