  • In this clip we delve further into the Album Plasmic Twin Fin and the Campbell Designed Sacrifishal to learn more about what makes them work, and why these two together could be the best small wave quiver ever...
Both board sizes and volumes are similar, but they surf very differently:
    Album Plasmic - 5'5 x 20 3/8 x 2 1/2 - 34L
    Campbell Designed Sacrifishal - 5'5 x 21 x 2 7/16 - 33.3L
The Plasmic surfed as a twin fin, and this was the only option on the board. With the double barrel concave through the board, the board was fast and seemed to have really nice grip for a twin fin, which could be attributed to the double barrel through to the diamond-esque tail out the end.
The Sacrificial let us try out lots of fins, but it was the quad setup by Futures that felt the best - that was the AM1 in the front and the AM2 quad rears - these were all Techflex.

The Plasmic was created with the idea of fitting a lot of foam in a little package. Chunky outline with a fish entry. Instead of a swallow, the diamond tail allows your foot to be set further back to get more drive out of the shorter rail-line.
Flat deck profile with a low apex rail, making it a great paddler with easy rail-engagement. The deep, double-barrel concave generates effortless speed and creates lift off the back foot, while providing grip through your turns.
Generally ridden with an upright twin and sized a little shorter and thicker than the Sunstone. We recommend riding it 3-5 liters more than your shortboard. As per most of our models, the plasmic is versatile and can be stretched to mid-lengths, step-ups and asyms, applying the same concepts.

    BOARD SUMMARISATION
A performance keel inspired fish the "SACRIFISHAL" is a hybrid combining down the line speed with maneuverability in the pocket. Low rocker and soft central concave work to outrun long sections while the concave tail vee and flyer facilitate tight pocket surfing. Suitable for a wide range of surf size and conditions the "SACRIFISHAL" can be surfed as a quad, twin or twin + trailer.
SKILL LEVEL / BEGINNER - PRO
"SACRIFISHAL" suits all levels of surfer and is generally surfed around 4'5" inches shorter than your regular shortboard and we suggest around a litre of additional volume.
    SUITABLE WAVES / FLAT - OVERHEAD +
"SACRIFISHAL"s abundant plaining area provides fantastic paddle power and speed making it ideal for a large variety of sizes and conditions ranging from sloppy beach breaks to peeling offshore points.

Seriously I'm in your camp ....... Modern high performance has been replaced with a 5 liter bump up in a more shorter, wider and thicker concept for more drive, glide, float and easier paddling capability that equates to more more waves at the end of the day!

Yeah, I think it’s important to have boards liked that dialed so you’re enjoying your surfs, and surfing well. If you can still get back on a HP shortboard when the waves allow, it’s a great skill to make sure you keep across ✌️

Why’s the pad so short on the plasmic? Need foot back more on it?

Hey! Nah, it’s just such a short board that the full length pad looked a bit strange on it 😂
