- Welcome to the review of the “Toe” by Campbell Designed in their EXOFLEX Technology - my “Toe” was custom at 5’11 x 19 ½ x 2 7/16 @ 30.5L with Futures Find Thruster setup.
About the Campbell “Toe” from www.campbelldesigned.com/coll...
The “CAMPBELL TOE” is a high performance short board collaboration between Ryan & Stuey Campbell.
Developed over many years of intense high-level competition, in a variety of conditions, medium nose rocker and soft forgiving rails allow catch free take offs while a central concave provides lift & speed when required.
It’s all loosened up by a concave vee between the fins which spirals into a single concave off the tail. This vee allows for lightning quick rail to rail transitions while the concaves generate speed. The CAMPBELL TOE is a cutting edge, modern high performance short board ideally suited to all 3-8ft Point, Reef and beach break Conditions.
About EXOFLEX Technology from www.campbelldesigned.com/page...
Campbell Designed Surfboards own invention the patented world first EXO FLEX TECHNOLOGY is available in all our surfboards in EPS or PU blanks. This revolutionary, lightweight construction method incorporating our internal reflex mechanical spring provides instantaneous response and more speed out of every turn than any other system and can be tailored to suit your weight and requirements.
In the Toe, I rode the new Futures F8 Vapor Core - futuresfins.com/products/vapo...
The most predictable yet dynamic fins on the market. Handmade, Vapor Core features a woven carbon exoskeleton that has been preloaded under tension for strength and spark. Instead of using a low-density foam core to reduce weight, we’ve removed the core all together with a truly hollow core.
The preloaded exoskeleton fibers, like a spark ready to ignite, yield instantaneous power transfer from your feet directly to the water for explosive power. The strong yet lightweight aerospace grade materials and hollow core provide quicker reaction times without sacrificing control and predictability.
Vapor Core is available in all Legacy Series template categories and sizes.
• Template Category | Neutral (balanced, fluid)
• Construction | Vapor Core
• Size | Large (180lbs +)
Thanks to Sam @yousurf_ifilm for the surf footage!

Looked like you were surfing really well on this board! I liked the look of some of those bigger turns, throwing wicked spray.
Yeah, board surfed well. Very easy to surf, and handles a wide range of conditions!
Great review. Thanks 🙏🏽
Thanks for watching!
Hey thx for the vid. I’m looking at starting surf filming. May I ask what camera and lens your photographer is using if you happen to know?
Hey mate! You’ll need to connect with Sam who filmed this. It’s a simple setup, but super effective!
No the Blackstix are the speed generating Futures fins, the Vapor Core are neutral so not speedgenerating
Kind of... The Vapor Cores I have also have the V2 speed generating foil.
Did you just say, the Jordies and JJs do also come with the new Vapor Core Technology?
No i didn't, but wouldn't it be nice to dream?
Hey buddie nice review! im wondering how many kg are you ?? you looks really well surfing in 30lts volume! thanks for the Vid!
Hey! I'm 90kgs x 5'10.5!
Are the f8 the same size as the pancho sullivan's?
No, the Panchos are a very large fin, I think the biggest thruster that futures do.
These F8’s are a L, where the Panchos are an XL.
How was it as a grovler?
Good, but not the board id grab to “grovel”
So.. a cambel toe?
Haha! Close...
Noice considering how junky the conditions were 😁👍
I actually thought it was kinda pumping... 😂
