From someone who has been doing makeup for quite some time now, i would like to drop some nity-gritties i learnt along the way: •Hold the brush closer to its head when you want pigment, and farther away from the head when you want to blend. Please DO NOT try to blend with a strong hand, it will just end up getting messier. ALWAYS use a light wrist and circular motions to blend (for eyeshadow and blush). • If you like the lifted nose look, i'd recommend rather than putting contour beneath your nose, put just a lil dab of highlighter there instead, it honestly makes soo much difference. • For contouring the side of your face, rather than drawing a line right between the side of your cheek, you'd rather want to take it a lil' bit higher, almost at your cheekbones, and then blend it into your hairline only using UPWARD STROKES. Please DON'T use circular motion for contour as it can quiet easily drag your face down. This is will help you achieve that lifted look, if you're into it. •This one is not completely basic, but if you wanna elevate your makeup game up a notch, then after you are done contouring, take a compact/lose powder, and apply it just beneath the contour and BLEND. I cannot begin to tell you how much lifted your face will look after you do this. These are pretty common and known techniques, but i hope it helped someone who didn't knew, because i didn't for the longest time. Now go get your makeup game on!

All right I did this. First off I wasn't a totally noob, but I'm 45 years old and basically only wear makeup for special occasions and I learned when I was like 17 so I thought I should get more up to date. I threw some old stuff out and got some new stuff and used what I had. I followed the steps and it mostly turned out ok. I had a bronzer/blush/highlight combo thing that was probably a bit too orange for me. The eyebrow stuff turned out to be a cream instead of a powder and the red lipstick wasn't as red as I wanted. It looked like a lot but maybe I am just not used to it. The eyes were really hard because i have some softness and lines (not a lot, honestly, but just enough to be difficult) plus i am really nearsighted and couldn't see what I was doing. It didn't look terrible though. Maybe, like I said, some practice. I do like the new brushes though.
I wanna say thank you for this I’m 14 and was a very easy makeup look to do for me since I’m a beginner and it made me feel prettier when I saw the whole look but since I didn’t have about 2 of the products i just used what I had similar to it

as someone with large pores and hormonal acne, i need a primer before applying any products or my concealer won’t look good 😂 So if you have textured skin, definitely find a good primer. I like benefits pore professional 😊

im sixteen now and i grew up as a tomboy. i never had the ‘girl talk’ with my mom or my friends as i was dressing like a boy ever since i knew myself. i was okay with how i am for a long time but lately ive been feeling dysphoric about my body and the way a dress. the fact that because of my masculinity i never experienced girlhood the way other girls do makes me sad. i want to change. i want to try out something different. i dont know if this is the right way for me but i right now i feel like trying to be more feminine would help me feel better about myself

@@emeryjem it was hard to start embracing my feminine side at first and after months i still strugle a lot feeling like im ‘less of a woman’ than others. but i gotta tell you that ive gotten a lot better at showing my feminine side which made me feel a lot more confident and i also developted a completely different style. i often look into the mirror and think im pretty. that makes me happy. i still have days when i feel more masculine and i sometimes dress like a little boy😭 but im fine with this side of myself too
