This is the video I needed soooo bad! As a girl that hates foundation (even though I use it because of my acne scars, but hopefully one day I’ll be able to be foundation free! Hate the feeling of it on my face) I love love love blush 💛 best video ever! I need some expanding shades haha
Actually you don't really need to wear foundation, try a full coverage concealer (for example huda beauty's) that matches your skintone and put dots on every acne scar u have, blend it and you'll see you didn't need to wear that much foundation afterall, you'll feel more light!!
I feel the same way about foundation!! What really helped me cut down on foundation, yet still achieve that clean skin look is buying a good colour-corrector palette and a heavy-duty concealer. You only need a couple dots of each, and it achieves the same effect!
Dear peachie, I just want to thank you for providing tips for us viewers with tan and darker skin as well! I love blush so much, but can never find much advice about it for darker skinned people that fits into this makeup style. I appreciate this channel and all that you do 😭🙏🏾
So so good! Why has no one else talked about this before? You should release pdfs of these slides! I remember asking about expanding blushes earlier and thank you so much for answering this in such a detailed video!
Yes!!!! Finally, a dedicated video for blushes. So happy i came across your videos last year. Knowing what makeup styles, and colors, and undertones etc. have made my life so easier now.
Thank you for saying that yellow tone/golden/olive skin tones are cool tones and not warm tone, warm/medium skin colours CAN be cool tones! so many “mua” (on yt) need to go back (if they even go to one before) and learn their colour chart/theory.. I think you’re the first one that I heard saying that yellow/cool undertones need warm shades! Thank you, so many “mua” saying otherwise it’s alarming..
This is really helpful. I started wearing glasses since last year and normally I don’t wear much make up except for blush. And I struggle a lot because the blush style i used to wear looks weird when glasses on. The technique really works and balance my make up look. Thank you so much
Dear peachie never disappoints. Your videos are super helpful. Please do an in depth contouring explanation. I am excited to hear your commentary on it. ❤️
applying blush properly changed everything for me thank you sooo much!! I knew I had a wide face and I was insecure about it, but I couldn't figure out what to do about it. I just watched your video and experimented a bit. And BOOM! I think I figured out the formula for my face. 💗thanks so much
i love this channel smm! also could u do a video on makeup brushes/blenders/puffs? it would probably be long but as a beginner i really don’t know what to use 😅 it would probably be really long so maybe a video for types of puffs, how to use and what it’s good for, a video for blenders all about shape, density, wet or dry, how it looks on the skin, what to use it for and brushes might have to be two part since there’s so many 😅 (brow, lip, powder, foundation etc)
I've recently started doing a sort of arrow shape on my cheeks, >< which I blend up my cheekbones and also down towards my mouth. I feel like it looks like how it looks when your cheeks naturally blush. I can't believe it took so long for me to discover this trick.
You are the bee’s knees! I’m glad I found you. I love that you educate so we can make our own looks instead of giving a look to copy that may not even work for our faces.
Maybe try a light blush color, try not to be heavy handed, and check out what it looks like in natural light. Also use a brush that is for applying blush. Once you get the hang of it you can try different techniques, and colors. You can do it! 👍
me too! but as an olive girl myself, you can have cool, or neutral olive skin too (master-tone), and if you're one of those people, then go for a berry tone as opposed to an orange one! Orange looks unbalanced unless you're a warm olive :)
dear peachie is my fav channel for beauty tips!! i love blush but i always felt like i didn’t know where exactly to place it or what colors would suit me. this was super informative 💗 tysm!
Dear peachie can you please do a video for ageing women? Starting to sag and skin not as radiant anymore ... please help!! And yes I am doing skincare already ✨️
I have pretty fair skin with a slight golden undertone I tried a bunch of pink colored blushes and come to find out the shade that suits me best is a more orange tone
Omg I love your videos!!! They are so informative & helpful! I'm very much a novice in makeup application overall & this video has been extremely helpful as I have tried different makeup techniques that did NOT flatter my face shape😳 needless to say, I now have a better direction in how I will be going about doing my makeup. Thank you so much, I'll be looking forward to more videos!😊
These videos are so amazing! They taught me so much. I'd love for dear peachie to do a video on highlight/Highlighter theory or contour theory. Which shades and styles of Highlighter and contour will suit your face best
dear peachie, can you make a video on hairstyles for naturally curly/wavy hair? because I have 2b-3a hair and idk what hairstyles or haircuts would look good on me 😭
Hello. The presentation is MISSING the blush recommendation for OLIVE SKIN YELLOW UNDERTONES. 1st time i come across your channel and i am fascinated. Thank you so much for this presentation. You've got yourself another subscriber!
I always go with the dramatic "runway" method of applying blush because I have like literally no cheekbones (well I'm sure they're somewhere in there, just not protruding at all.) So I need that sculpting effect to not show off just how entirely flat my cheeks are. Although to soften that sharp look I tend to do it in a more rounded, half moon shape and round it off just a little bit on the center of my cheeks. I also like adding blush to my nose bridge, chin and around the base of my nose, just for a more natural look, as I naturally get rosy in those areas. Because I'm not trying to hide my natural color variations, just kinda put them back on after adding foundation. Finding a blush color is kinda challenging though, because I have very light skin with warm undertones. Even you assumed that fair skinned people have cool undertones. That's the most common, at least for caucasian skin. So it's hard to find light blush in warm tones, because there's probably very little demand for that. I'm always chasing for that perfect, light antique pink shade that seemingly does not exist lol. It's the color of my natural lips, and just works the absolute best as blush for my skintone. Orange and peach is a bit too warm tones for me, just looks like a bad tan. So I use a too dark antique pink blush (likely intended for tan/light brown skin) in very thin layers. It's not perfect but it's workable.
So, one thing you might look into is using alternative products instead of blush. If you've found an eyeshadow for example that's the right color? you can actually use that as blush. If you have a lipstick that's the right color? that's your cream blush. If you've tried a PH lip balm and like the color if gives you, that is also a potential blush. Best of luck finding the blush that works best for you tho~
Thanks a lot for this explanation! I really love blush but sometimes it really washes me out and it just kinda looks ugly but now I know the reason why and I'll avoid it in the future thanks alot❤
So yet again, basic color theory comes in again! As an artist, a basic rule in providing contrast is dependent on the brightness of the colors, so when artists paint they may use greyscale to create contrast. With color theory and not "brightness theory", pale skin would go darker, dark skin would go brighter, hence why pale-skinned people would use contour and dark-skinned people would use highlighter. (There's obviously exceptions but it's a general rule - it's noted to use identify shades as expanding/contour) I feel like most western beauty gurus/influencers use the same grey-ish warm pink and it makes me 😫 Though I'm sure anything else would look garish on them, it seems to be a staple color)
For what it's worth, I tend to favor super light lilac type colors - which are usually fairly close to my skin in darkness but may be slightly darker or lighter (though it's rare for me to find something paler than me) the warm pinky color you're talking about makes me look sickly as I have very strong blue undertones that tend to clash with anything warm...
western beauty gurus use all kinds of colors huh? Theres a reason american companies don't make 1 shade 😭 I see a lot of bright red and peach personally
@@Yuunarichu if youre talking about elf then yeah everyone uses one shade. Im stupidly pale so use really pale pink lol. The stereotypes. I don't think it looks good on skin tones like any darker than mine tho 😅
