"I don't want my kids being a-holes at lunch making fun of other kids for the food their eating". Ladies and gentlemen a round of applause for any parents that do this because this teaches kids on a whole new level. Love it so much and tons of positive energy for that.

I'm from Peru and went to school with a lot of Asian and Asian-Peruvian people...no one ever teased them or bullied them about their lunches. We were jealous! Some of them were eating sushi rolls, onigiris, bento boxes with fried chicken and rice with furikake, chinese buns, mochi, homemade chow mein and things like that while we all had sandwiches or Peruvian food which is also delicious but theirs was unusual and for us unusual was good. It amazes me how someone could be bullied for their lunch.

Makes me sad. Kids are cruel. I remember kids making fun of me for choosing broccoli and cheese with my free lunch because they said it smelled. I couldnt eat it and threw it away. I cant imagine kids with other cultures feeling embarrassed of amazing food that other kids arent used to!

In middle school there was a girl from Pakistan that got bullied everyday for her food but I honestly thought it looked good to me. History of Trinidad recepie Doubles the dish was inspired by a northern Indian dish called chole bhature (or sometimes channa bhatura).Chole bhature is made by combining channa masala with spicy chickpeas and bhature(poori), which is a fried bread made with maida flour, a common flour in Indian baking.
The name doubles arose when Mamudeen used to sell the bara (flat fried dough) used to make doubles, alongside the channa (chickpeas). It wasn't until the people buying these two items from Mamudeen began requesting to double the bara in their orders which is why the name doubles stuck.
