KP184 new? And even better teaming (dumbbell) with the Siglent Bench DMM... of course I loved it! Excellent repair. A sincere congratulations. All the best.
I've had computers set up in some of the most hostile environments known to man for 10 years (unmaintained), and none of them look even half as bad as what the inside of that PS4 looks like. Absolutely crazy.
Awesome job, I love learning from "learned" electronics technicians, absolutely love your style and knowledge! Great work again, thanks for uploading I appreciate it!
I have all three leds missing. 4:05 what is the third led? I believe it is the orange for rest mode but when I googled there is a mention of red light for over temperature. Can you confirm please. Thanks
hi.. thank you for sharing, I have the same problem with the PSU, 5Volt standby in there, and 12volt come up when I triggered 5Vsby, there is no corrosion in psu board, but I hear little noise in transformator, unfortunately, I don't have load tester :' hope you can help, thank you
Friend, I have an independent source and the mosfet is good and the diode also generates 5v line 5vs but in the acin_det it doesn't have it and if I jump ACDC standy it doesn't generate 12v already got something like that could it be CI 12v with a problem?
I have a cuh-1215a ps4, died a while ago, replaced power supply, now turns on for a second then turns off. Swapped mobo, same issue. The fan doesn't kick on at all. It spins freely by hand though. Would the ps4 prevent itself from turning on if the fan is faulty?
A PS4 FAT came in for no power customer said that it suddenly stopped working one day so I tried checking it and when you press the power button you only hear one beep then it wont proceed to boot up or even get a single light indicator.
@@saxtoncan it's likely there is a short somewhere on one of the power rails. Check around the board on the large inductors for a low resistance to ground, less than 1 ohm. Also, check the fuses scattered across the board.

Apparently PS4s are used in some rather hostile environments. Thanks for the comment!

You're too kind! Thanks for watching and commenting!
Can you make a video explaining the UART method to diagnose the ps4 console
Hmmm. I'll consider it. Thanks!
Great investigation! Perfect job!
Thank you very much!

The PS4 should turn on just fine without a fan. It would just eventually overheat.
Good job mate 👍
Thanks 👍
You certainly no your stuff great job 👍 where do you get your chart for the values of the components
Thank You!

Did you swap supplies? It sounds like the 12V is not coming up. Does the fan try to move at all?
@@ToltecMerc I’m having same issue. Fan starts up and does about a quarter spin. Any help is appreciated. I’ve already replaced power supply.
