With your taste for detail and manual work, it seems that you were trained by the car builder symbolized by the famous three-pointed star. All the best.
Hello sir. I had my ps5 apart to the point I needed to remove those foam pads that you had that random piece laying next to the console. My question is I notice older models held the wires down only by white tape but the 1100 models use that foam stuff which helps the wires from being pinched. My question is, is it okay to tear that stuff away so I can get to removing my power supply and cleaning the holes from dust. I might be over thinking it but I know they are there for a purpose as the foam had an indent across it like something was resting on it but also protecting the wires underneath from being pinched. You have the only video that shows the foam pads. Thx in advance. Did you just pull the wire up through the middle of the foam?
You can tear it or carefully lift it up in the middle just enough to work the wires through. Pulling the connectors through is the challenging part. Take your time. You can heat the foam up slightly with a hair dryer on low to soften the glue. Just take your time. It's not a race.
After watching your new update, I now wonder why $ony leaving this WIFI module bottom caps area exposed to atm without the metal shield cover. Signal, reception really? I might put some coating on my own device while up-coming deep cleaning day.
it just amazes me how often i see consoles from new generation with no power issue . A lot of them are maybe 1-2 small SMD components , i think i need to invest on a thermal camera , it will help me in the long run
I have one like this I have been working on for about a week. I didn't have 3.3v at F7002, replace IC and all 5v and 3.3v currents are present. I replaced the wifi IC but still stuck around .290amps. Do you have the readings for the caps under the wifi IC? I wonder if the wifi IC is either bad or reball on the new ic isn't good.
@@ToltecMerc thank you for your reply. I actually sent voltage and checked the WiFi caps and I was missing the 1.8v. The SBV, opposite side of the F7002 fuse, was not outputting 1.8v. I swapped the SBV IC and 1.8v was restored and started up as normal. I assume whenever it hangs at .290-.310 amps the first area deals with the WiFi IC from what I have experienced. Thank you for making your detailed videos, help me with my diagnostics on my customers consoles. Keep up the great work!
Hello, my PlayStation slim gives this error CE-36329-3 and it turns off once and then turns on again and locks the screen and the color of the image is damaged. I changed the hard drive and it didn't work. Does the console need an APU rebal?
I despise working on electronics damaged by cockroaches. Not just because the bugs are nasty. But the cleanup is very time consuming on heavy infestations. They seem to really like pooping and such on the M.2 port.
I hate them as well but I don't usually know about the roach problem until after I buy them and it's too late then. It takes me half a day of cleaning to reduce the smell to something that is tolerable.

Thank you! Quite the compliment!
Always a pleasure when you upload a video.
Thank you very much!
Nice to hear your voice again
And a good job again
Thanks so much! I'm glad you enjoyed!
Great video and I've watched most of these videos you always figure out the issue!
Thank you! I try!
You counted all them screws? 😄 Thank you for another video, I always look forward to watching them.
I always count and the number seems to increase every time. Thank you for watching and commenting?

how did you clean the apu? with iso? love your videos.
I usually use a cotton swab with IPA, gently rubbing until all the oxidation is gone. The shiny surface will then readily accept the liquid metal.
Hello, I also do console repairs. But you are truly impressive. What should I do if I want to have a PS5 console repaired?
I got a local business owner selling a no power PS5 for $100. I wish I had your knowledge for circuitry.
Another delicious video...
Thank you! I'm glad you liked it!

Did you check for a short on 12v rail before you put 12v to it?
No, I don't believe I did.

I think if it was WIFI/BT your current would be lower. Maybe look around the SSD area. It could be struggling to access its storage.

Thanx master ❤️🇹🇷
You are very welcome! Thank you for visiting!
Hey man i have a ps5 its has that same problem no power would you fix it ?
All those caps are underrated typical sony penny pinching
Could be. They do fail a lot. This cap did have a little help to fail from an insect.
@@ToltecMerc a buggy cap
Very good job 👏 👍 👌
Thank you very much!
Nice job.

Good job!
Thanks! It was a reasonably simple fix!
