8:05 while this method to open the console does work, I would still recommend unclipping them with a removal tool. not only does it feel like you are breaking it, if you do it too fast, you WILL break the tabs off, which means you won’t be able to put the case back on.

Great Vid.👍👍👍 I Just strongly do not recommend the "opening like a suitcase" part at 08:08. Be patient, take your time to open it, otherwise you are very likely to break it.

    • @MODDEDWARFARE
      @MODDEDWARFARE  2 роки тому +2

Thanks, but I strongly disagree about the case opening part. I used to do it the "safe" way of going at each clip one by one with a flathead or pry tool but always ended up causing more damage that way. So you're actually less likely to cause damage if you use the method from the video. However, there is a dedicated tool you can use that lets you get all clips at the same time. That's going to be the best option to cause the least amount of damage possible.

if xflasher doesn't show up in jrunner, after i've soldered the wires to the motherboard spots, does that mean my soldering isn't good enough? could i have possibly burnt a solder pad beyond use? i ask because i've tried attaching them a few times. and i've completely cleaned up burnt flux and tried soldering again, but xflasher still won't show up in jrunner. and yes i've installed the drivers, just like you did in the video.
i have other boxes to try out in case this is broken (i was anticipating the first try not going smooth) but i want to make sure this one isn't salvageable before i rip open a new one.

I forgot to format the USB before soldering the RGG and JTagging, how big did I screw up?

I went through the whole process all the way until the end and got the XeXmenu verified working and everything. I went to put the Xbox back together and now I can not get the Xbox to turn on for more than a second. I took it back apart and figured I broke a solder joint putting it back together. Sure enough I did, I got them all fixed up and I think they look better than the first time I did them when installing the RGH wires. My problem now is that I can not get the Xbox to boot up still. It will still turn on for just a second before shutting off, not showing anything on the screen. I'm not sure what has gone wrong. Should I redo all my solder work or is there something else going on now? Any help or ideas would be appreciated.

Thanks for the tutorial, just want to know how reliable this method is compared to 2.1

What kind of wire do you use? The Raspberry Pi Pico doesn't come with a wiring rig like the flashers do.

Try out the other JR Programmer drivers available, I used the auto installer which you can find on Google. Should work for previous versions of windows

Great video 👍 I’m having a little issue. Installed j runner w extras and installed the drivers for the xflasher as well but when I open jrunner while having xflasher plugged in and set to spi mode it doesn’t show up in jrunner.

I really like this video. But is the diode 100% necessary?

Looking for an beginners USER guide. I can only find videos of the hardware side. I’m trying to understand how to use one I bought off eBay. I want to know the ends and out of running the RGH3 software side and how not to get banned etc.

Hello. Which one of them should the 1n4148 diode be used? There are several types of diodes that differ in characteristics. There are diodes with different mA numbers. What characteristics should there be?

Couldnt access Xell on Falcon board, tooj the diode out and it booted. IF your falcon board is not booting.

It's just a Precision Gold A55KJ Digital Soldering Station. If I was going to buy one now I would most likely go with some sort of Hakko soldering station.

Followed your guide and now I get the flashing Xbox button on the front of the console
    Nothing shows on the screen
Connected up my disk tray and still nothing
I've rechecked all my soldiers and wiring and all is correct, bought everything you mentioned and I'm using the xflasher instead of the JProgrammer

Can someone explain the wattage for the 22k resistor. I feel like it definitely matters. Please someone get back to me ASAP

Looks like he just used normal 1/4w or 1/2w resistor. Dont really need big one for small current stuff. Hopefully @moddedwarfare can confirm though.
