    I was at my local Toyota dealership picking up a breather plug and was curious how much they charge for front and rear diff and transfer case fluid change. $392.50, wow. For all three of these combined you’re looking at 5-6 quarts which will run approximately $80 give or take. It pays to do these jobs ourselves and great videos like this make it possible, so thank you!

    If you bang the bolt with a hammer (don't beat it like it's owing you money) re torque you'll seat the crush washer and won't get that annoying constant wet patch

    I just bought my first 4Runner it's a 96 and it's got almost 340,000 you can imagine I've got work to do! cuz I want to make sure I didn't get ripped off, so I've been finding out what I really bought and just tonight I put grease in the front axle because the vehicle set on a little bit of an angle and the next day there was a pool of axle grease on the ground :-( also now the trouble light came on, the little light that's like a trouble light that shows like a engine transmission and I don't know what it is? What the trouble might be what the sensor is pointing to?

    Hey quick question can i engage my 4wd on dry pavement if im going really slow and straight not making any turns. My 2000 sr5 didnt go into 4h when i tried to engage it moving about 5 mph it felt like it did engage but the light didnt come on and they truck felt kind of held up i shifted back to 2h and it didnt seem to fully disengage untill i went into reverse. While stopped i can engage it and the light comes on could this be from not useing it often thw truck has been siting for awhile

    • @PhoRunner
      @PhoRunner  Місяць тому

      Going straight is fine to engage on pavement. Sometimes it can take some time/ tries to get it to engage.

    • @Cmc-365
      @Cmc-365 Місяць тому

      @PhoRunner I got it to engage but I feel some kind of Resistance like as if in full wheel drive, it doesn't want to roll forward when in drive is this normal? I hear no funny sounds or clunks just feels like resistance when I press the gas

      @PhoRunner 4 high. when I gave it some gas I heard a little cherp I think. it just feels like it's being held back I'm not near a dirt road so I'm just goin back and forth in a straight line I'm scared to give it normal gas I'm just pressing down soft on the pedal and when I let off you can feel it slowing the truck down

    • @Cmc-365

      Could it be the front drive shaft maybe it's warn out and binding I haven't used 4x4 since I bought it I've been slowly working on it the guy I bought it from just showed me that it engaged into 4 high and 4 low so I assumed it worked. Lol
