    Just picked up a 3rd Gen and I've extensively watched your videos leading up to my purchase. You (and other UA-camrs via your references) have made my journey buying an older car a much less daunting experience. Thank you!

    Such a great video. Always so concise and thorough. Doing this tomorrow, my ps fluid is sludge. Brake fluid is garbage too, I’ll check your other vids for a brake flush. Thanks a ton man!

    Using a cheap turkey baster works well for removing fluid from the reservoir. I also use it to remove old fluid from a brake reservoir when flushing the brake lines.

      Yes, if you raise it on jack stands

    I just added an inline magnetic filter for the return line on my '01. Have you done this on yours? Thoughts? Also, my belt seems to be slipping when turning hard to the right, is this a pretty easy adjustment? Or maybe I should go ahead and replace the belt.

    Thank you for the video. Thinking. Should I do this when the engine is not hot. Maybe the power steering fluid will burn the PVC hose if still hot.

    • @PhoRunner
      @PhoRunner  Рік тому +2

      Probably fine. Don’t think that fluid gets too hot.

    Hi there - can I ask why you had to put the front up on jacks? You could just turn the wheel lock to lock with it still on the ground right?

    • @PhoRunner
      @PhoRunner  11 місяців тому

      No power steering so it’d be difficult. You don’t want the vehicle on as it’ll pump the fluid

    • @anthonyrodriguez9666
      @anthonyrodriguez9666 Рік тому +1

      Dude I’ve been stressing out so I got my catalytic converter stolen & I use to get 200 a tank with just 265/70/17 (trd wheels) with 3 inch lift ever since I got it stolen I average city like 175-180 highway is like 195 I’m just glad you didn’t say 250 or something like that 🤣, when I fill up from my gas light on I get 12 gallons no more is that about right ?

    • @PhoRunner
      @PhoRunner  Рік тому +1

      Usually 13-14 gallons when light comes on. Tank has some reserves but one time I ran it til it died and it still filled up with like 16 gallons. Supposed to be 18 lol.

    • @anthonyrodriguez9666
      @anthonyrodriguez9666 Рік тому

      You’re the man , I tried to do your gas gauge fix but no results do you think it’s the sending unit ? It only happened once after my O2 sensors started going crazy from the cat being gone once I fixed it I filled up & I seen my gauge drop on 1/4 tank & slowly go back up to full but it was only a one time occurrence
