That's a real Floyd. The "Special" is basically the entry level version. I have one on a Jackson Soloist. It's not bad, but you can knock it out of tune if you get crazy.
@@SearchingForTone @SearchingForTone yeah... I think they are all good, but they are not all playable / gig ready out of the box! Definitely gonna need a set up to dial them in for sure!. Great channel man... I just subbed!🤘
@@j-man9457 Thanks. Really love your channel. It seems like the new gradding system is unplayable, needs setup, bedroom ready, gig-able, pro-grade(usually which can only be obtained by paying the retailer). which makes your channel and the information you share important for everyone.
@@SearchingForTone ahhhh thanks... I'm fussy with my set ups. For a bedroom player most of these budget guitars would be fine with some tweaks, but I like my frets like glass, my action low, and my nuts filed and we'll lubed hahahahaha! As bad as that sounds lol! Rock on!
@@j-man9457 if you feel like it, could you measure the outer edge of one of the wings and let me know if that includes the part that connects to the fretboard. But if it's a hassle then forget it. Thanks
@@c0uchsl0uch 20 inches is the outside length of the wing from the very point to where the body tapers into the neck. For comparison, a Strat is about 18 inches from the top horn to the bottom strap button edge. 😀
If the bridge is where you want it before you start. i.e.flat, I would block it then before taking the strings off. It's a little easier. Nice work tho' :)
@@BarrieT I did but only afterwards. Just bent it forward using the Trem and slid a white eraser under the Trem. Worked well... That should of been in the video🤔
@@j-man9457 I saw that, and the idea of an eraser instead of a wood block is a cool idea. I only do it first as it maintains the tension on the trem springs so that when you restring, everything is where you want it to be. I guess everyone has their own methods that work for them. Love your vid's. Keep them coming. Cheers :)
Very nice
I will watch for part 2.

@@Vern859 thanks buddy... Part 2 is out now! 😀

Is the body big and bulky and sorta long in person when you're holding it?
@@c0uchsl0uch the body is a V shape so long yes... But big and bulky? No! It feels small and it is very light. I would guess around 7 to 7.5lbs max!
