Super job, J! I wonder if it's just me, but I thought this miniStrat sounded brighter than a regular Strat. Glad you're going to bring it to a gig. It's where you find out if the basic bones- electroncs, pickups, body and neck- are up to the task. I'm sure it'll pass with flying colours! Great job making it string through.
Another flawless operation. Sounds fantastic. Can't wait for the gig. Honestly would like to buy this one for my grandson, he'll outperform what I can do likely on the first day. lol But serously think about selling this baby to me!
@@rainerjaschke5216 hey if you want it, it's yours... But it's not flawless. It's old and there are many little dings and imperfections. It works and plays great though 😃
Nice job on the mini strat. Hey, you can try finger nail polish for those scratches. They have tons of colors... And buffs well.. Thank you for the video. Have a good night 👍
@@banced1 no you'd have to install some kind of solid block in the guitar joining the face and back side otherwise the back side may be compromised with all of that extra string tension. Also, since an acoustic guitar is sometimes 4 to 6 inches thick, you'd have 4 to 6 inches of string inside the guitar and probably not enough length left at the tuner side🤔
Don't blame Fender for quality shortcuts on these super-budget intro models, they farm them out to Asian shops who are given the specs and a price cap per unit. These shops need to make as many per hour as possible to make any profit. As you have shown, the end user can modify and finish off if they please. Folks who diss' Fender and make derogatory remarks probably don't understand the economics of manufacturing.
@@ItsaCatsLife yeah I get what you're saying. Really though parts aside, there is no excuse for a company like Fender not having a nice fitting neck pocket, decent tuners and string through body option. 2 of the 3 are just numbers in a CNC program, and the 3rd is just a choice. It takes the same amount of time to install decent tuners as it does to install junk ones, and the very little added cost would not deter customers from buying...
I like these fun vids. Waiting for the gig clip.
@@barackmycat9448 haha thanks. Just uploaded it! Should be available soon!😃

@@calbrockocat8728 hey thanks,
No doubt that the smaller size and the ceramic magnets make it brighter for sure... Just uploaded the live clips😀
What a fun little project. Thanks for sharing the journey. Rock on!

22.5” scale length? That’s still longer than the 20.75” scale length of John Lennon’s Rickenbacker 325!
@@zuperdee Wow!
Now, only if Fender (squire) can build them to your quality.
sweet lil bugger aye??
sounds nice too!

I wonder if you could use the same concept to make a string thru acoustic?

Use a set of Gyker tuners as replacements...
@@GaryBertolo I could of but these were free and no slop in them whatsoever!🤘
Get a Boss Katana amp there great🎸
Scar My Guitar uses a dremel with a polishing wheel on his frets.
@@Bliggick yup I have that too. Polishes well, but I have found it does not remove tooling marks created from leveling frets 🤔

It was too many stripes by spire and how it's by Jman
