The reason is that scrolls will use or learn from will default to the casting modifier from the last unique class you took a level in, so you want that to be sorceror so your wizard spells will still be using charisma instead of intelligence.

Fire and cold would conflict with each other. Lightning and Ice could work. Especially if the lightning one also took thunder spells. Then they would be able to take advantage of wet and frozen conditions.
Idk I'm a big AC guy. I love dipping 1 lvl into cleric for armor. Especially for frost build as you get create water from the start counts a full caster so doesn't crip your magical magazine.
War cleric is basically a fighter. But at lvl one you get all armor and weapon proficiency, and auto get shield of faith and a slot for create water. And again counts as a full caster. Idk sounds like a good deal :)
I like tempest cleric for the reaction, always good, sometimes the enemy leaves with low hp but when he hit you hell be dead, so sometimes save me using my action to finalize some enimies
For the Myrkul fight, if you go to the secret Sharran sanctuary right in front of moonrise, you can pass a charisma check to get +5 charisma until long rest. Could be useful for buffing your spell damage.
Nice, I"m trying out an acid sorc right now on honor mode. I like the idea of gimmicks like this though with magic classes, limiting the character to only one element that they focus on. Fire and light being the easiest while poison and acid are very hard. Poison is only hard because of how many bad guys are completely resistant to it, while acid is just plain weak in terms of spells available to use in BG3, but at least it can hit undead and demons before lvl 6 unlike poison.
Elemental focus can make a very powerful character but can leave you struggling if you up against enemies resistant if you can't disable or weaken that reason.
Indeed, it sounds great on paper. But then it's much easier to just break out an element they're weak against for the occasion, instead of having to dedicate an entire feat to overcoming resistance.
First off, this was incredible! I loved the ice theme, I loved the puns, and I loved the pretty pretty numbers. Second off, please someone tell me, is the intro noise Mothra? When "Pheeon" is displayed the the jaws open and close. If it is, nicenicenicenice, I respect it.
FYI you can get a shadow gem without doing any trials by using invisibility to sneak in and out of the orthon (Yurgir’s) area. He has a gem sitting by his bed (on the lower area) and there are ways to grab it without triggering a fight or cutscene.
Yeah first run I sent an invisible quasit to move it bit by bit. I didn’t met Yurghir and was confused if Aylin was supposed to be Raphael’s enemy. Yurghir did spawn in the House of Hope though.
So many people miss that the door in Aunty's Ethel's lair is illusionary and you can walk through it. Just spin the camera around to the back and have your character move to the other side. No conversation necessary.
Since you 'only need 1 umbral gem' (since Knock works) you actually need a total of 0 gems since there are ways to get down to the door without using the elevator.
Glyph is absolutely amazing. Besides the strong aoe dmg, it also has a sleep variety that unlike the normal sleep spell doesnt have an hp limit. I set Raphael to sleep with that thing

Can you poison the ice block for poisoning? Can you oil on the ice block and use fire to blow it up?
there's something I'd like mention bcs your enemies were saving all the time, did you took off from your prepared spells the "Ice Storm" learned by scroll?
