You two have great happy chemistry, you're committed to studies and facts creating an island of credibility in an 'anything can be said' world, presentation is simple and clear. Thanks for making this fun!
So glad I found you two. Very informative and fun to watch. I am from the "overhyped skincare vid" (my first one) that advertised this video that " no one saw" but has 233,540 plus one now!
I have always heard mixed reviews of gua sha and I understand why, because sometimes it is claimed to do particular things that it can't, and there aren't a lot of scientific studies on it. But when you spoke of microneedling helping to build collagen by healing from damaging, it sparked my thought that maybe gua sha could do something similar? Any thoughts on this idea? Love the scientific background of all this as I am a nurse, so scientific explanations help to make me more confident in anything. Thank you for sharing!
I feel like a doc myself after watching this. So well explained. What I understand is pores are mostly because of extra oil production. I am 33 I have dry skin and still have large pores on cheeks. I am confused what should I do in this case. I don't want to do something which will make my skin more dry. Any pointers is highly appreciated docs. Loads of love 🤗🤗🤗
Your guys tip in another video has really helped my skin. I do the paulas choice bha toner, but I rinse it off after 15 minutes. My skin just can't do the leave on treatments. Now my skin is exfoliated, and it's really helping with my skin turnover and removing that oil and excess sebum.
Just don’t murder it… you have you be gentle. Instead of a red volcano for the day, now you have a tiny little red spot. Sometimes there’s nothing at all!!
Such a great video! I love how educational it was (yes, the diagrams were awesome). I've been on a mission to simplify my routine and a big part of the progress I've made is due to you guys. Thank you!
Omg. Soooo back when I was a teenager I wasn’t allowed to wear makeup so I wouldn’t wear sunscreen on my face on purpose so I can get the natural blush. It was really pretty because for some reason I only burn on my nose and cheeks. But I totally regret it now 😢🥺
Nice simple routine options at the end. I appreciated that. I have just gotten into the idea of skin care at 39 yr old (3 months) and I am noticing improvment, though I wish it was faster. But, hearing you name the ingredents I've been trying... I'm guess I'm on the right path. Retinoid, vitamin C, and Nicin - I just have been using different brands (Inky List, The Ordinary mostly, with a little Vichy)
My pores on my nose are to me a little more noticeable. Because I am over 65 years old. But I do use phisoderm clean. And I use a mask on my nose. But will improve with sun screen on my nose..
Thank you so much for all of the wonderful information. I was fortunate enough to find your channel a few days ago. You are both lovely human beings. I look forward to learning more.

You guys are amazing, i even took notes ! Some of these things i've never heard of before. You made an amazing job explaining and getting the information out clearly and structured. I actually came here after watching your video "skincare you don't need" (which was totally awesome too). I had a laugh when you said that you liked the video so much but nobody watched it. Keep on going guys, you are so cool, I'm definitely subscribing !
Unfortunately that doesnt sound very likely. If its blackheads I used epiduo once and it cleared all blackheads that I coukdnt ever get rid of before, so I'm left with the pore problem. I started using tretinion with the hopes it would help but my blackheads are back and epiduo was the only thing that would conquer them! So I'm gonna give this 0.025 tret a little longer but I think ultimately I'll stop because most people use it for acne and I haven't seen much about what it does to pore sizing. I'm interested in oral antibiotics but you must be prescribed them by a doctor which I cant bring myself to do but apparently there oral accutane can help shrink oil glands which I also have lots of

100%+ stand by the idea here (based on my personal experience)... Day=Salicylic acid cleaner+vit c+sunscreen... Night=salicylic acid cleaner+vit A... However, I am still negating Niacinamide because it makes my skin too dry and itchy everytime. Maybe it's my skin or maybe it's too much with vit c and a.

Loved the visuals and thorough explaining of everything! I find all of your videos really informative and easy to understand! Thank you guys! Keep up the great work! 🙌🏻💞
Thank you so much! Glad you found it helpful!
This is the best video I have seen on your channel. You need to bring back the text on screen and visuals.
Love your videos so much!! As an acne sufferer and medical student alike - so helpful in both situations! Even making me consider dermatology :)
Love the science and visual. Makes it make sense.
Loved it! Thanks! You explained quickly and clearly and gave suggestions on affordable products!
Use products with collagen/that protect collagen and avoid products with alchohol
Your guys tip in another video has really helped my skin. I do the paulas choice bha toner, but I rinse it off after 15 minutes. My skin just can't do the leave on treatments. Now my skin is exfoliated, and it's really helping with my skin turnover and removing that oil and excess sebum.
I used to not have large pores, and now I have gotten them over the years. I hate having large pores, they are super noticeable
How did you do it ???
how did you do it?? (2)
Just don’t murder it… you have you be gentle. Instead of a red volcano for the day, now you have a tiny little red spot. Sometimes there’s nothing at all!!
your the best in explaining everything. Thank God I found your channel.
Such a great video! I love how educational it was (yes, the diagrams were awesome). I've been on a mission to simplify my routine and a big part of the progress I've made is due to you guys. Thank you!
We need a video on Sebaceous Filaments and ways to get rid or hide them
Learning and laughing at the same time! 😂 You guys are great. Don’t stop making these videos!
New favorite channel! I needed this info a long time ago.
Omg. Soooo back when I was a teenager I wasn’t allowed to wear makeup so I wouldn’t wear sunscreen on my face on purpose so I can get the natural blush. It was really pretty because for some reason I only burn on my nose and cheeks. But I totally regret it now 😢🥺
I wish I discovered your videos ages ago, but I'm so glad I did now. This was so helpful!
Could you do a video on reducing forehead and 11 lines?? And the best products and ingredients for reducing and preventing them?? Thanks!
YES PLEASE 👏🏽🙌🏽👍🏽💯👍🏽👌🏽
Thank you so much for all of the wonderful information. I was fortunate enough to find your channel a few days ago. You are both lovely human beings. I look forward to learning more.
Do one for reduce stretch marks

I just found out about you and I could not be happier, you’re great at explaining and this was really helpful. Thank you
I never comment on videos but just wanna say I love y’all and thank you for your videos and laughs 💕💕
Ah thank you so much - that means a lot
I just want to say your videos have been so helpful to me, thank you. Your videos are not only informative but I enjoy the banter between the two of you. Keep em coming!
Did you guys always know you wanted to become dermatologists? Love your vids! They’re very helpful 👍
Thanks Jesse! We actually both trained in other specialties first (me in radiology and Dr Maxfield in internal medicine)! I never thought I’d be a dermatologist, let alone a doctor haha it’s been a weird path for both of us to get here but somewhat serendipitous
Doctorly I love watching your videos ! I’m training to become a radiographer too but I’m really into dermatology but I feel like the route will be really difficult. How did you find studying medicine?
@@Doctorly . With the reply we now know who is handling the reply section.
@@maureendera6440 Haha it's a mix. We both answer throughout the day. -Dr. Maxfield
@@Doctorly would love to see a video on acne scar treatment, how to fade old scars and minimize new scaring 🙏
Thank you for all the information. You are truly helping people in need.
good video, telling people a common sense routine at the end was KEY. Would love more videos on brands that are good to use for each product.
Gosh. As a man, nobody taught me these. You guys are very helpful. I'm gonna use your tips to teach my boys how to take care of their skin!
And you presented it in a scientific way! A PLUS!
The drawing really helps
Hy! Could collagen supplements help for large pores? Great video, clear info!
I'm interested in oral antibiotics but you must be prescribed them by a doctor which I cant bring myself to do but apparently there oral accutane can help shrink oil glands which I also have lots of
Very informative. As a newly esthetic grad who suffers from very visible pores herself, I second this message.
okay, definitely not only your best video, but THE BEST video about this issue, really informative. Thank you guys, love seeing true professionals talking about skincare. btw, I dont know if you guys already did a video about it (i just found this channel), but I would love to see you guys talking about vegan, organic skincare, your opinions, if it's good or effective, and things like that
Graphic was AWESOME.
Hi doc how to treat leg scars? Please answer. I badly need it. 😭 thank you!
I’ve always had bad skin, especially acne, and I was tired of trying all the expensive stuff. The subliminal affirmations on borlest have honestly been the one thing that’s made a real difference. My skin feels so much better now.
Thank You, Docs for clarifying that issue. Like all you content and could you please talk and educate about Hidradenitis Supurativa ? Can it be managed before it gets worse. Thank You
