One of the things that I love about you is that you don't feel like you need to make a 3-minute video a 20-minute video!
Which is even more crazy because YTs don’t make money for under 10 min videos…..
Hallelujah! Which makes him our go-to for all things make-up!
Yesssss! Totally agree! ❤️
Yes!!! Drives me nuts when UA-camrs enters are half the video. U just wanna scream "please stop talking and get to the point!"
And he never bullshits for an hour first, plugging a ton of stuff. Just jumps right in.
That's why we love him 🥰
Wayne, I absolutely love this and appreciate you for not using blurring filters. It's nice that we can actually see what you're doing and how it's working. I've learned a lot about how to strategically apply makeup from you and I love your approach to makeup. Your results with this technique are amazing. I am going to try this out tomorrow. Thank you! 🌺
Absolutely the Truth❣💕👍 Wayne is the smartest and honest MUA in this "Circus" of Internet-Media and "Influencers"❣💕👍
Best Human and smartest nice Guy ever, I love him for to be like He is❣💖😍✌
Have you ever tried any blurs that actually blur past 5 min after you put it on?? If so what kind is it? Thank you
OMG. I'm actually bawling my eyes out! I've struggled with my nose for 30 years and you just fixed me. I don't have enough words to thank you ❤
See my comment on using 5% benzoyl peroxide every morning on your large pores. It is super amazing.
Same here!

Do they stay invisible through out the day.?
I like that you post this video every year. As one ages, our skin changes and new methods are always being implemented in one's routine. Plus, you're always making applying makeup look so simple and flawless. Thank you as always for sharing!
My skin is so greasy, that after about two hours my pores are all out again. :(
Wayne i dont know if youll see this. I tried this technique today on a client with that problem and she wrote me after like ‘what did you do to my skin??? It looks completely blurred im in shock’ she was so happy with her makeup 🙏🙏🙏 that technique is amazing, thank you!
THANK YOU so much for sharing this! Thank you!
Wayne, do you ever consider how many MUA's have launched their careers and have become successful because of you? The techniques you share are worth their weight in gold. Thank you!
I certainly do
It’s unbelievable circular motions close the pores. Yes! It’s flawless.
Couldn’t you just use a pore filling primer?
@@Indoboyva they work to a degree because silicone is in it. But when the foundation is placed on it needs to still be put in a circular fashion to close the pores completely.
°Wayne's technique is FLAWLESS ON PORES TOO💯👏👏👏
Wow. Can’t wait to try this technique on my polka dot nose and upper lip! 😍😍😍
I’ve been watching you for over 10 years. Till this day you’re still changing my life for the better!
Thank you
You’re a godsend to the makeup and beauty community ❤️🌟✨
you're videos constantly entertain! even a 3 minute video can thoroughly teach technique not seen elsewhere. Thank you!
Does anyone have a brush recommendation for this?
I was thinking it looks like he’s using an Ecotools concealer brush. I’m gonna try it with this brush
I've just tried this, and it really works! It's unbelievable how flawless my face is! Thank you for sharing it with us👌👍
@WayneGoss, I'm Brand new to makeup. Which brush specifically do you recommend for this? Does anyone else know?
I use W7 Porefection which cost less than £4 and is best applied after foundation and powder. I also use the tissue dabbing technique after foundation to really press it into those holes left long ago by meteors 🤣
If I keep blending, all the makeup goes away and I have makeup-filled pores! I can't seems to get the pore hiding down while leaving makeup on the rest of the skin! HELP!!
Yup, I still love you and think you're absolutely gorgeous- with and without the makeup. Thank you for teaching us so many different techniques for certain things. One that might not work for some as well would work for others. You give us variety and updated techniques that seem to work for EVERYONE. If you didn't like it (and you've got sensitive skin) or it didn't work for you, you don't bother putting on your channel.
So THANK YOU WAYNE!
Thanks for sharing techniques with your stamp of approval! You're a godsend in this community and to those who looooooooove makeup 💄 ❤❣
this is awesome .... finally one person that shows real skin with no make up on camera up close so we can see how the pores on the nose are gettin a good amount of coverage without looking like a cakey nose ....love this
Hi everyone! Can anyone recommend a good brush for this? Also, do you just go in circles over and over? Please let me know! Thanks all! ☺️
I love this tip! Just tried it and it worked! Excellent, Amazing difference!! My largest, most visible pores are in the nasolabial folds extending to my chin. That's the area I check first when trying a new foundation. If I'd had this ingenious tip a long time ago, I probably would've kept many of those foundations!! 😊 Thank you, Wayne!
What's the name of the brush, pls? Desperately need to try this technique.
I have massive pores & horribly oily skin that melts all makeup
All I can see is a white line going down the center of your nose. Why didn't you do a close-up of the after so we could see how well it worked?
Could you recommend the dense brush please? Thank you for excellent content.

On Friday, one of my work friends was talking about how her pores have gotten noticeably larger since she had her daughter three years ago. We were discussing various techniques, including those horrifically painful pore strips we all used in the early aughts - you know the kind that rips off the first layer of skin/hair/your soul. Not an hour later I got this notification, immediately texted it to her, and she was in disbelief at how simple this is and so grateful for the knowledge! 🥰
Wayne is not just a cosmetics expert. He's a full blown wizard with magical powers 💕
I use this technique on my T-Zone and it works beautifully. But I am 61, with frown lines and large pores. TFS, your worth of knowledge😘
I am always learning a lot being here thank you so much ❤️
Thank you so much for this Video 👏 You're just a really great teacher ✨
I tried this technique on my cheeks where my pores are the largest and it ACTUALLY WORKED! I use to have large pores on my nose also but as I have gotten older those have shrunk where they are almost non existent now. I was having a HUGE problem with my cheeks where my contour goes(I have a fat face so contouring is a MUST). THANK YOU Wayne!
Which brush did you use?
@@NickyCrovetto I used an L.A. Colors concealer dual ended brush where it has a flat brush on one end and a fluffy dense bristles on the other end.
Off to work later after being on annual leave so definitely trying this in abit. What I love about your videos/tutorials they're not long and drawn out by too much chatter. Short, quality and detailed! Spot on. Thanks Wayne. 😊 Hope you're well 😊
Like a soft little stippling brush.
If I could get my makeup done by anyone at all; it’d definitely be you. ❤️
Short, concise and to the point ALWAYS!! I bloody love you Wayne Goss- my makeup master! Teach me more of your magic ❤️
As guy who's never worn make up ever this is a handy video, i have big pores on my nose that's always bothered me its annoying so bought some foundation and did this technique and worked a treat, thanks 👍
"When you think you've done enough - keep blending". Great tutorial, thanks!! ALSO...JUST GOT 3 tubes of your mascara. So thankful it's back in stock!!! :) BEST EVER. Sending you love and light, Wayne! :)
i have to watch this twice. Once to get over the new background and once to concentrate on what you are saying LOL I friggin ADORE you Wayne!
That is not a background that is his aura
;)
Wayne Goss: Again, if you gonna do this to the entire face,.. it's gonna look pretty.. pretty unnatural.
Me: Yes, I'm definitely gonna do this to my entire face. 😅
There's an older video of his on this exact thing that also goes into the downside of this..... micro exfoliation...... you cannot have dry or skin that hadn't been vigorously exfoliated and make this look good!! It lifts everything up!! He warns this!!!❤
I was thinking the same thing. I remember because I have dry skin and I instantly remember him saying this, I never use a brush, I use a beauty sponge. But overall the majority of Wayne's videos are pretty informative.
I’m excited to try this! My pores are huge! I’ve always hated it ! My nose and lil bit on my chin!
Love your videos! Everything is always to the point ! You get it done without all the extra extra ! Simple and sweet !
What foundation are you using?
I LOVE this!!! I have HUGE pores on my entire T-zone so hopefully I can do this technique on it without looking unnatural because that's my biggest problem with my face.
Thank you Wayne 😭 you’ve saved my LIFE so many times 😭
Thank you so much for this Video. I finally found a solution to shrink my large pores on the nose. I tried your trick and it works. Thanks again
Specifically, what makeup brush do you use for this procedure? Thank you.
This is ridiculous for 2 reasons; vigorous rubbing and pressure creates oil production. Twice as much oil!
Secondly, foundation emphasizes pores, wrinkles and anything on skin. And the powder on top? Sure, if we want to look like a baked cake.
If you would've shown your skin just one hour after you applied that foundation and powder, we would've noticed what an oil slick your method produced.
Instead may I recommend you use a bb cream and redo the video please?
Thanks Wayne, which is a brush you would recommend for best results for this? Thanks 🌷
Looks good! Do you have any tips for dry or flakey skin? I use Moisturiser snd hydrating primers but putting make up on just emphasises dryness I find.
Your videos are by far the most informative and enjoyable on UA-cam... And it's not just because you're nice to look at either. 😜 But seriously... They are short, to the point, no random babbling... yet you still manage to thoroughly walk us through each step along with proper tools to use in 3 mins. AHH-MAZING! Can't wait to try this on these damn black holes covering my face... I swear it looks like some of them go on forever! If this works it will be life changing. Lol.
Ohh and the "when you think you're done blending... Keep blending" part made me laugh... Literally the best advice any "real" makeup artist will give you. I can't tell you how many times I've heard that... But it makes the world of difference... It's the difference of how my makeup looked back in the 90s to how it looks now. Lol. 😂
Try this w primer instead of concealer and u get a natural look. He’s just filling the pores w product . It’s a great method
These videos are so helpful.
Thanks Wayne
god I don't understand how anyone gets this to work. primer doesn't help. i'm just buffing with no results other than rubbing my skin raw.
Whenever I buff like this it always ends up looking dry AF and the pores fill up and the foundation buffs off of the skin around them leaving a disgusting polka dot look. I have normal to dry skin that looks great when I use a damp sponge to apply foundation to my nose but it looks like crap when I use a brush. Even with the tiniest amount of product. I don't have much to cover, just a bit of redness around my nose and with my skincare, my pores are quite tight already. I also worry about buffing my sunscreen off when vigorous techniques are used. When I use a small amount of foundation, there streaks and skin flakes that weren't there before makeup show up on my nose when I buff. I have tried so many times, this just doesn't work for me. I just use pat mcgrath under eye blur powder over the pores or I just got the Hylamide blur cream and that stuff blurs so much it hides my 11's between my brows! Just tap a tiny amount over light foundation and set with a TINY amount of the eye blur powder. No polka dotted pores, skin flakes or dry cakey mess. This might work for people with more oil in their skin, but not for me. I tried so many times because I want to do my makeup like Wayne.
Wow! This is amazing!! May i ask what brush you used please Wayne? xx
Omg thank you!!!! I recently am noticing im getting large pors on my cheeks as im getting older lol and I am definitely going to try this!!!
I have large pores on my nose i will definitely try this out thanks!
This is amazing! My only question is for those of us with dry skin, will using a brush this much remove what little bit of moisture u have on your face?
Whenever I try this, my nose crinkles up like a desert with all the product collecting into each pore in visible dots. What to do!
Aw Wayne, I loved your room background, please don't always do this, I miss that lovely room. Well, who'd have thought circular motion would make such a difference! Brilliant. 🤗🌺
Wayne, which of your brushes will be good for this blurring.
What If You Use Powder Foundation?
May I ask what brush you are using?
I have your original liner brush, use that brush everyday!
Amazing! Such a useful trick. Thanks 😘
“and when you think that you’re done, ….keep blending”
This technique is amazing.
Your techniques generally works well when you put foundation on bare face or over a light layer of moisturizer only. However, in reality, we often have to apply a good amount of sunscreen under the makeup. Could you share tips and demonstrate with full face of sunscreen. Thx.
I would love to see a series with sunscreen as well. it's an everyday application so I rarely put on makeup without there being a base layer of spf.
It works just as well over sunscreen. Obviously you allow time in between your sunscreen & your make up application as you would do anyway (or should do if you want your sunscreen to work to its potential) apply your sunscreen first thing am after washing your face/showering. Leave to absorb for a good 20-30 minutes, *then* apply make up & any tips & tricks. Make up should never put directly over sunscreen as is shown on many channels as it has not had time to settle into skin. Therefor not giving it enough time to do its job, which is create a barrier between your skin and any sunlight you are to come into contact with. It’s not just a moisturiser, it has a real job to do. - Hope this helps : )
He puts the sunscreen on at night before bed. I'm nearly sure there is a video about this. Have a look back at his night time routine.
@@roseannnekeogh2283 NO. He definitely does not wear his sunscreen at night! He wears his SKIN CARE at night & the only thing he puts on during the day is SUNSCREEN 🙄
@@sheilablake7913 The video is called I slept in sunscreen for 20 days. Go have a nap snappy.
This is the BEST method I’ve ever tried! I have oily skin with large pores on the nose and always lose my makeup on my nose. This helped keep my face looking poreless and flawless! Thank you!!
Did this help the makeup to stay on the nose, my nose is definitely my worst area for staying on and if i go too matte, it cracks at the sides, so annoying?
... or you can use a little poreless primer on trouble areas and foundation.
Thanks Wayne!, that was very helpful and many of us do have larger pores around nose area x❤
My pores are less noticeable now that I take better care of my skin and use salicylic acid and retinol on it but I’m gunna have to try this soon! 😍
This trick works great for about 30 minutes. However, anyone with oily skin knows that the oil in the skin will begin to come out of pores very soon after application causing pores to look the same if not larger that before application. I've had large pores on my nose/cheeks and oily skin all my life. There's no trick for concealing pores long term throughout the day. :(
Wow your skin looks amazing!!! I think you've got improvement on redness comparing to videos from few months ago, whatever you're doing it's working!
I am new to your channel but so glad I came across you, thanks for this awesome tip
Thank you so much. I’m fifty three and never learned how to use makeup properly as I didn’t wear it much when I was younger. Thank you as well for getting straight to it!
Hi!! Should we try this technique using a little bit of primer under the foundation?
I saw you do a very similar video a few years ago and still use that technique today. I’m happy to see you still recommending it. Much better than using the primers designed for filling pores because they always seem to interfere with the rest of my makeup.
Thats incredible! IT WORKS! 😀
Great tip and my nose needs this! However I worry that with having dry skin, that this will just become a dry mess with the circular motion!? Worth a try, right? Thx as always.
Hi Wayne, I have rosacea with lots of redness on my nose. I wear a foundation that matches the color of my face and neck so therefore it is a lot lighter than the red areas. When I have tried a similar technique in the past I end up with tiny foundation polka dots in my pores and the rest of it rubbed off with the red skin showing through. Could you comment on the best type of foundation for this technique?
Thank you for the always fresh and relevant comment. You're my favorite makeup UA-camr.
This is wonderful! I love a more natural look that just evens out my skin with light to medium coverage. This will totally change my makeup application! It will take care of those few areas that never "look good enough" once I'm done with my look.
Thanks Wayne! Exactly my area that I can never get right w my pores and also getting anything to adhere to my nose without making the pores more obvious! So I’ve just used a powder and don’t try to cover w a concealer! I’m going to try this today 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻
No moisturizer or primer before hand ?
wayne, can we use your #6 or #7 brush for this technique?
This works! I've tried it 3 times now! I had no idea why my foundation was skipping over my nose holes! 🤪
My nose pores have always been an issue for me, I'll try this! One concern... will this possibly lead to blocked pores/ blemishes if used often?

@@MR-xk8vm 🤣 thanks, that was right when I was posting my comment so I missed it.

I needed this!!! Thank you!! Also I love the new backdrop, definitely does work nicely with your skin!
Wayne, you are incredible! I tried this and it works. Nose and chin pores are no more. By the way, you have a glorious nose as well as the rest of you, the adorable you. Thank you for another brilliant technique. 👍👏🤗❤🌹
Thank you for these master classes. Can you do one on how to hide laugh lines? Luckily masks currently hide them but I’m sure there will be a point where I can’t hide them behind a mask. I only have one more prominent, so it makes my face unsymmetrical.
You should be celebrating that you have a joyful life with lots of laughter!

Brilliant! Again! As I am getting older my nose has become one of the two areas that bothers me the most. The other is under eye. I am trying this, thank you for another great video! 💗
So I did this and the polka dots I usually get on my nose and cheeks were even more visible. Damn polka dots 😩
Ugh! I hate the polkadots!
I will definitely try this. Short and sweet and to the point. I appreciate it.
I totally forgot about this technique! I used to do this all the time back when you uploaded one of the first versions of this. I wonder if it works with powder foundation? Thank you for this!
Perfect video - short meet and to the point. Im very appreciative of this and will definitely be trying this and telling my mom and brother too bc big pores run in the family haha. Thank you.
Which # brush of yours would I use for this?
thanks for this tip! my nose is fine but the cheek area on either side of my nose is where i want to blur the pores! hope this works for me 🤞🏾
Fantastic video. Thank you! Short sweet. Now which one of your brushes did you use? The link goes to a page with all your products.
