As a fat dude it’s really refreshing to hear “I don’t know if this will fit” or general doubts that you’ll have access to something all your friends have access to, no one talks about it. Especially as a disabled person I love watching him as an example of a rlly cool fat dude but also non toxic masculinity
I thought Eddie was just being fun when he said “Wally” instead of “Waldo” so the book covers really threw me through a loop. I love useless regional differences.
@@05stapj No alliteration unfortunately. In French the full title is "Où est Charlie ?" (litt. "Where is Charlie?"). My guess is that Waldo/Wally was deemed too weird of a name for the French audience, and replaced by an existing French name.

I love the journey Tom’s face goes on during Elliot’s reveal. When Elliot says 12 hours, Tom shakes his head, thinking it’s a joke but then when Elliot says he had a mental breakdown Tom’s face immediately drops to genuine concern, and it stays that way all the way up until Elliot is done talking where he’s just like “I DID THAT EXTRA WORK FOR NOTHING?”
I want to hug Elliot. He last 12 hours but he made 3-4 songs, had fun outside and made content. Also edited this episode in an brilliant way. True King. 👏

Oh boy I can't wait to see what wacky new challenge they're trying today!
(clip of Elliot crying in the first 6 seconds)
Huh...
Eddie grinding his ass on the door : *BONE*
Foreshadowing for the mental breakdown
@@oppositeday429 thanks for that reminder, I'm laughing again
*BONE* got me the most
I love how there's been exactly ONE instance of Eddie being hit in the bollocks in both seasons.
Here’s hoping that’s just the opening in season three. Kidding.
the irony of Elliot's art saying "there are no rules" as he packs a box according to a very specific set of rules was an irony that I enjoyed
I love how genuinely happy Eddie is with his son. They always have a great time on camera and off camera.
Rik be there showing his support for Eddie and its the best thing on earth.
"As far as comfort goes, I am not experiencing that" is definitely what I will tell my therapist next week. What a beautiful sentence, Tom!
i'm sorry you're going through this. hoping for some more comfort in your future. but also, hell yea, expressing troubling issues through memes and quotes!
@@headlesszebra9857 Cheers mate! Geniunely nice words, I really appreciate it. I'm pretty much alright, too - See a therapist, folks, it does wonders to you.
That was a real plot twist at the end, I was not expecting that at all
Honestly, how could you make Elliot stay out in the garden. You know that the Banananana man is out there!
2 things
1) You need to get Tom Scott on a full TryHards episode, see how someone endlessly organised and logical does
2) I suggest a race driving TryHards challenge, even better if one of you doesn't have a licence and had to learn to drive specifically so they can race
Wait ... correct me if I'm wrong but I think Tom has said he isn't legally allowed to drive.
I feel like I might be wrong, but I'm not sure
@@jegger2143 doesn't necessarily apply on a track, which could make it interesting
@@BurningmonkeyGTR really?
Sorry if this sounds rude, but wouldn't that be the one place you'd want that to apply; or am I just missing something obvious?
@@jegger2143 ever heard of the Ginetta junior championship? 300 horsepower race cars driven in a full scale championship by 12-16 year olds. Most tracks will have some restriction of people without a driver's licence not being able to drive on the track on a public track day, but Max Verstappen made it all the way to F1 before he got a driver's licence, and Kamui Kobayashi never bothered getting his until after he retired from F1 and drove at the 24 hours of Le Mans, so unless it's a severe medical reason there are ways someone who can't drive can race
@@jegger2143 Typically in the UK at least you can drive a vehicle on private property without having a license. Just the permissions of the property owner.
Tom’s portion: pure denial
Eddie’s portion: pure panic
Elliot’s portion: pure misery
pure misery and a lot of yard-care related country music
I love how Elliot just used it as an opportunity to get a bunch of garden work done.
really glad that you decided to say fuck the challenge and went back inside to take care of your mental health and after that enjoyed some time in the garden! please don't ever feel like you'd have to push through that because of us or these videos.
Love to see Eddie and Rik on these videos, wholesome dad and son moments ❤️
I knew Tom was gonna win when they were packing their bins. His was the most thought out and prepared. Good job!!
Tom Scott showing up is even more funny after seeing the conversation about getting a cameo in the Patreon cut
What is the convo
@@LukeIdontKnowBasically the boys having a discussion about 'hey it'd be really funny if we got someone else to appear here for 5 seconds and then never showed them again' - as they in fact did
This is an old video but I can’t express how much it means to me that Tom talks about the way being fat effects him. As a fat dude it’s really refreshing to hear “I don’t know if this will fit” or general doubts that you’ll have access to something all your friends have access to, no one talks about it. Especially as a disabled person I love watching him as an example of a rlly cool fat dude but also non toxic masculinity
Absolutely. So important to remember what some people have to struggle for while others take it for granted. ✊
1) tom scott cameo was incredible
2) elliot's songs are the best thing I've heard all day
3) wtf did the arrow even point to in eddie's book
The arrow pointed to the Wally with the bone
I thought Eddie was just being fun when he said “Wally” instead of “Waldo” so the book covers really threw me through a loop. I love useless regional differences.
For more trivia : in France he's called Charlie
@@Lu14355 is that for the sake of alliteration?
@@05stapj No alliteration unfortunately. In French the full title is "Où est Charlie ?" (litt. "Where is Charlie?"). My guess is that Waldo/Wally was deemed too weird of a name for the French audience, and replaced by an existing French name.
ah yes, character with name has name deemed too weird and gets name retconned in x country
..i don't understand regional differences sometimes..
Duck duck goose or duck duck gray duck?
love that this series went from, "who can make the funny meme song" to "let's try not to die"
Eddie doing a micro-deep-dive (shallow dive?) into the inner working of Where's Wally in the middle of this challenge is my favorite thing, anything to keep a busy mind occupied when you're bored I guess lol
Love how out of the three of them Elliot decided to turn his attempt into a musical about cleaning up the garden,
Eddie's kid asking if he's ok after cutting his finger 🥺 what a good kid!
and saying "you're welcome" after Eddie says "thank you", that's a well mannered kid
Elliott! Aw man you broke me. I felt this in my soul. From one anxiety bean to another you totally killed the filming.
Rik must have been so confused that his dad just decided to live in the backyard for a while.
4:35 I find it incredibly amazing that we get to see Rick grow through these challenges
“It may also be known Waldo in places where you're wrong”
_"It may also be known as Where's Waldo in places where.. you're wrong."_ Agreed, who is Waldo??
hilarious how they got tom scott in the video just for a bit, can't believe the winning scenario _(hope he's fine after that though)_ . awesome video!!
north america
Howdy checkmark.
Waldos the yellow one isn’t he?
@@lordcharles9786 That’s Odlaw, it’s Waldo spelled backwards.
@@lordcharles9786 as opposed to Maldo
I think if you ever did this again you should do it in a group rather than alone. You should also have to earn "better" food by doing tasks, bush tucker style. Would break up the monotony for sat sweating your nutsacks off.
Also taking a laptop was OP
* The massive set-up of "Elliot brought his computer and loves gardening anyway" just for it to immediately crumble in 12 hours one of the biggest twists ever
* Well done to him though for actually going back outside and continuing to do the challenge anyway even though he'd already lost :)
I don't care what anyone says; Tom may have won the challenge but the REAL winner is Elliot, straight up admitting he had a mental health breakdown. Dude, you're a champion for going outside and making content for the show. I love how concerned the others were for you.
Elliot, please take care of yourself.... and remember; its okay to not be okay!
You know, the first times it was just really funny how Rik kept showing up during the Try Hards episodes, but this is becoming super wholesome too.
And this episode it really felt like that. We see just how happy Eddie is when he spends time with his son and just how happy Rik is in general, just vibing around xD
It was such a shock to see Tom Scott and then he just doesn’t turn up for the rest of the episode lmao
I love the end with Tom Processing the information like part of him wants to feel bad that his friend had a panic attack and the other really wants to kill him
This was a masterclass of editing, truly an amazing plot twist
I kind of want to try this challenge with a few of my battle buddies just to see how long we would last with 72 hours worth of prep time. We're all out of the military and we each live in different parts of the US so I'm curious to see how we would each do.
Please do this!!
Tomska: *is in mensa*
Also Tomska: *has never read a book*
Excuse me *w h a t ?*
I really appreciate the cuts to Eddie just being an adorable father in between all the somewhat thought out insanity.
I think the fact that heinz writes their tins as "beanz" with a Z just adds insult to injury for eddie lmao
This was incredibly deceptively edited, I had absolutely no idea who won until that curveball at the end, fantastic video Tom
I want to hug Elliot. He last 12 hours but he made 3-4 songs, had fun outside and made content. Also edited this episode in an brilliant way. True King. 👏
Elliot and Eddie having a great time whilst Tom slowly goes mad was the highlight of my day.
Being someone who lives in the woods, it is hilarious seeing the problems occur in their gardens being something I always have to deal with. Like the ants!
Tom and Eddie: Steps all over their own well-being in order to win an internet contest.
Elliot: Actually listens to his body.
This video is insanely relevant to me, because I just came back from a trip to my grandfather's cabin, up on a mountain. The idea of packing as much useful survival stuff into a small package for the purposes of surviving in an isolated area is very much something I'm familiar with, and is fresh in my mind. So, I love this idea!
Tom: suffering
Eddie: suffering but not as bad
Elliot: gardening
I thought Elliot would win easily after all he packed but the plot twist at the end is much better
tomska and friends is like the only channel that i actually watch the sponsor cuz its so god damn funny
I'm proud of Tom and also proud of Elliot for admitting his feelings. That was a harsh but emotional ending.
Elliot, it's impressive that you even stood your ground for 12 hours. You are an amazing man. Get some rest, get a nice glass of appy juice, and think about the achievements you've made in life. You're a winner.
