Why rest only 90 seconds between sets?. If u do have the time, 3 mins between sets will allow you to have more energy and you can get more volume out of your workout and less fatigued and so you can do more sets without burning out. Its time under tension that makes you stronger. Dont mean you have to be exhausted after your workout.
I rarely comment, but I have to say, that this bit at the end was exactly what I needed! I’ve been lifting for about 6 months in my garage focusing on strength.. I’m an “obese” guy in my 30’s and that leaves me very self conscious now that I’m working out in a commercial gym. Yeah I’m seeing huge strength gains for my level of experience, but I’m still the fat guy among these “beasts” in the gym which ,depending on the day, can be inspirational or disheartening. And sometimes we just need a little reality check. Thank you Hudson and Brandon for doing what you guys do to inspire and teach. You guys rock!

Yeah ! I've been busting my ass in the gym for a really long time and I'm way far from those "super instragram bodies" and I don't think I will ever get to that level even if I planned to train until the age of 50-60. Still, if you want to compare yourself with picture or something, use your old picture. Comparing youself to yourself is the best way, imo, to be proud of you at the end of the day ! Keep it up Glen !

Completely and totally appreciate what you spoke about on motivation & drive near the end. I've lost a substantial amount of weight a few years ago, was amazing, felt the best me I'd ever felt. Then stupidly went and put it back on after a lax lifestyle after a shitty year. Currently in the process of again taking the journey on of losing it all over again, and even though its taken me a while to get back on the horse, I'm very strict and will set my mind to it. People often used to and currently ask like 'secrets' or to give them tips. The only thing I can ever really truly think I want to say is that you just have to have the determination and push on it, because you may want it but nothing will happen until you just push yourself to do whatever you are setting out to achieve. I would know, I've done it before.... and then not done it for ages... and then doing it again haha. Definitely relate to everything you said in that car ride. Especially the social media shit, I try and just keep to my own and not follow all the beautiful fitness gals, as even though they are for sure inspiring sometimes I get a little self doubt. Respect, love the videos. Only been following a while, but really enjoy all the content!

I've been into lifting since I was in highschool because I played outside linebacker, but pretty much the only things I did was bulk and build strength and size along with lots of cardio. I was never concerned with being lean as long as my strength was functional, but following an injury in my senior year I decided to avoid college football due to the fact that I would needed surgery. So now I'm working on getting lean for the first time and these videos are a great help honestly.
This is the most entertaining bodybuilding channel I know. And it is also very informative, and that is impressive. It's not easy to do that. This channel is something I watch after my job, just to chill out, and I am also learning about fitness in the process. Been working out all my life, in my late 60's now and haven't slowed down at all except for lighter weights and my constant mantra when I check myself out in the mirror..."yep, getting there". I liked your motivational speech at the end. Honestly I stay motivated by giving in to my vanity. I look at myself in the mirror at home every time I leave the gym and look at how much more ripped I am. Then I take a shirtless selfie every month to see progress. Much better for my self-esteem and motivation to compare the better me to my former self, then to try and compare to another person.

Just gotta say....I have been hooked on physical fitness for my entire life and it wasn't until last year that I kicked it into high gear and really started seeing gains and dropping mad weight. It's all thanks to channels like these and dudes puttin the work in to bring everyone the knowledge. I like putting science behind all of my workouts and nutrition so i despise any channel that feeds garbage into the public fitness movement, but yall have my thumbs up. Hudson....thank you for your end Motivational speech. Because of that you have my subscribe. I appreciate your understanding and throwing out some lifting philosophy so everyone can understand how to keep consistent and push toward their PERSONAL goals. Henrik Svensson That is true about time under tension. But also factor in the anabolic cardio. higher anabolic state= increases muscle mass.
in these times of great temptation the buff dudes must stay humble and remember to drink their juice only from the glasss
