Hey everyone! Hope you enjoy the video. Brandon put this one together and did an awesome job as he just began shooting/editing videos this year. I might be out of a job soon so I better up my game. In the meantime look out for the rest of the Phase 2 videos this week. I'll be responsible for all the Cutting Plan phase videos and Brandon plans on releasing a video every Monday dealing with a more general food/fitness topic. Until next time (which should be this Wednesday for Phase 2, Day 3)...STAY BUFF. -Hudson
I'm 54 and coming off of open spine surgery about a year ago. I'm slowly getting back into lifting (with my surgeon's blessing), and these two cats are the best. I've learned a lot about doing things safely and effectively, and they're fun and entertaining to watch. I also love the recipes, especially the one ingredient ice cream. Keep the videos coming!
For me, there’s no better high than than the endorphin high from intense cardio. It even beats the pump. After a hour of intense intervals you feel like you can walk through walls.
Boxing training (hitting the bags) has to be the best cardio I've ever done. Highly recommend anyone to try it. Even if you aren't necessarily into fighting
Tony Guzman What bag do you use? I moved farther from the gym and popping over to get cardio in everyday feels like a pain now. Looking for something to switch it up.
Brandon Turner yeah man I feel you. I'm a student so I don't have time for the gym. If you have the space for it, you should get the Everlast dual bag set up. It's not very expensive and you don't need too much space to use it. It's a heavy bag + speed bag
for me personally i lost over 110 pounds , just by eating properly ( low fats) going to the gym 2 hours ( 1 cardio and 1weights ) and my fav cardio machine was the elliptical . It took me over 9 months
congratz on loosing 110 pounds mate! But by reducing your fats you most certainly increased your carbs , so i would urge you to check your LDL levels at the doc next time. Majorly reducing Fat intake is extremely unhealthy as its essential for staying alive . Stay safe
Great job, I have a lot to lose too. But like the others said, you shouldn't lower your fats but rather lower your carbs if anything. The myth that fats make you fat has been debunked. It's the sugars in carbs that do the most damage
Again, you guys are on point. Just finished my second round of your Buff Dudes cutting program and want to focus on cardio to get my fat down some more.
Great video again fellas. Really feel you guys have taken it up another level in terms production quality. I'm not cutting but I can imagine anyone who is would find this very motivational Looking forward to the next buff dudes instalment :) Re
+thegallantianway thanks so much dude. The production/editing is probably our favorite part. Trying to think of ways to cover topics (which may have been done 1,000 times) and make it exciting for you and us. We definitely feel if we got bored it come through in the videos. We'll try to keep moving onward and upward. 💪😀
My preference for cardio is swimming. Absolutely love it! I've been in the pool 7am Mon-Fri for the past month, now mixing it up by doing weight training instead on Tuesdays & Thursdays.
My sister always kept saying to me during my weight loss that you can't outrun a bad diet and that's absolutely true. I started really cutting the bad shit out of my diet in January last year and lost weight far faster than I did in the September-December 2016 period when I started my fitness journey.
Thanks buff dudes! Love all your vids keep getting better. Been in the gym almost 2 years now and I found and have been following u guys scince the beginning. I’m way ahead of most people in my local gym thanks to u guys
I love it, next time I walk into the gym and I see the treadmill, I’ll remember this video and remind myself that it’s not needed. Thanks I can’t describe how much I needed to hear this 😃
you guys are amazing, thanks coach kozak for all the efforts and your positive motivating demeneaur!! You too lovely Claudia!! I can count you guys for my home work out, becuase os your constant motivating pep talks that keep me going and help me not quit or slack!!!
Hands overhead exercises are cardio-dense workouts. If you lift weights and want to increase cardio output, hand over-head exercises will get you there.
The video states why I value fitness...roaming the land which requires a lean strong body type. I am older and place importance on real world benefits. I want to run, hike, climb, bike...explore. I through hike (my favorite) and run 5k to marathons. Of all my cardio, I get the most bang from the long run. This long slow cardio focuses on fat use, infrastructure strength, and aerobic conditioning. This helps on multi-day hikes on rough trails. I am 52 and can kill through hikes, 5ks, and even qualify for Boston. I can explore outside with ease and hop on a bike to explore as well. The bedrock for all of this is the long run...the short burst exercises are good but not as good as the long run. If you can pop off a 20 mile run without too much trouble you can do a lot of real world things like hiking the PCT or even shorter stuff like the OHT.
Right on Brandon, I couldn't agree more. This is the stuff that needs to be made aware across all the obese and generally all overweight people in america
If you want more crisp and don't mind a bit of extra carbs, put your sweet potato fries in a plastic bag and shake them with corn starch before coating with oil, then cook as instructed. Part of the "fry" in fries has to do with starch content, and sweet potatoes have less starch than regular potatoes, so they end up soggy instead of crispy even when fried traditionally, unless you add some starch to them.
Great video ! My cardio is playing 5 or 7 a side soccer. Plus good tip for great sweet potato fries is cut them thicker and part boil them and then add olive oil salt and pepper and a few dashes of lemon juice makes them crispy and fluffy.
My cardio consists in 20mn of HIIT on a treadmill. 30s of sprints at 17km/h followed by 30s of rest: ten times. And then on max incline at 8.5km/h, 30s on, 30s off. Listening to Amon Amarth and Sabaton as a soundtrack, nothing better to make me feel like a Walkyrie.
Hill Sprints HIIT style. On grass not pavement, with cleats. Low impact, harder to get moving fast enough to cause injury than regular sprints. Motivating, not quite as boring as treadmills.
Never liked cardio equipment at gym but did loose alot of weight and added muscle weight on from just weight training almost every day of the week and good diet. Will need to redo this tho as been out of commission for around 3 years due to breaking pelvis ,wrist and slipped disc then last year fractures in spine😂🤷♂️ Looking forward to getting back to gym hopefully soon
hey there, just a quick tipp : place a wet Towel or kitchenpaper under your Cutting Bord, that will provent it from sliding all over the Place. besides that, great Video like Always!
Excellent breakdown fellow Buffdudes! Dug the cardio portion of this , educational statistic side of it - not too overwhelming, but enough to get point across and the sweet potato fries recipe looked ace! I keep putting this one off. . will deff give it a go one day soon! Cheers! Hail and Kill!
Personally I think HIIT is the best form of cardio outside of daily activities. It takes minimal time, it strengthens your fast-twitch muscle fibres, boosts your stamina and has a caloric afterburn effect for hours after you are finished exercise. Besides that, I think anyone looking to improve their cardio, heart rate, stamina or whatever outside of the gym needs to take up a sport of form. I took up Brazilian Jiu Jitsu in October and it was the best decision I've made in recent history - I've lost 45lbs over the course of September to now and I don't think I'd have lost as much as I have so far without BJJ.
Hahaha god i love those scream effects and the ferris beuller references, buff dudes you are killing it!! Your videos are just getting better and better, you both guys are master minds
Guys! First of all, thanks for an amazing channel, you guys have kept me motivated throughout my almost 1 year fitness journey. I’ve never been as buff and slim as I am today. A subject I’ve often thought about is; when that day comes when I’ve reached my fitness goals, what do I do to keep me motivated then? I want to see that progress, not just maintain what I’ve built up. Might be a good subject for a video? Yats Ffub!
when I want to eat baked potatoes (this regular potatoes) firstly I boil them about 8 minutes and then I add oil and oregano and bake them and they are crispy and delicious, i did not try this with sweet potatoes, but maybe it would work
Hi. M a huge fan of you I ve seeen n seein all ur videos. Can u take some videos or suggest somethng abt Indian food diet since the ingredients which u r using may not be available in the Indian Market.
Running (in moderation) will be one of the single best things you can do for your lungs and heart. Stretching will help with blood circulation as well and keep drinking lots of water to keep hydrated. If you do these 3 things you'll be healthier than the vast majority of people irregardless of what you eat as long as you're not absolutely insane on what you eat.
My god the cutting board shuffling around on the worktop... Tip for everyone ever cooking: a moist microfiber cloth under any cutting board will make it much more stable and act as a anti slide. That trick and sharp knives keep you safe in the kitchen
I do like 15 to 20 mins on the treadmill at the beginning for a warm up, longer if it's a new gym and im just uncomfortable there lol, and maybe an elliptical at the end
Hey Buff Dudes, Quick Question. I have recently been following your Cutting Plan and i am in Phase 1. I generally like to get 20 min of Fasted Cardio in the morning before i start ( this helps me wake up and get ready for the day). But due to scheduling, i cant. Can cardio (jump rope) later on in the day be as effective. P.S: i have a desk 9 - 5 job and do a brisk walk on my 30 min lunch break.
You remind me a bit of both David Harbour and Matt Stone! :P Love the videos you guys do! Really informative, simple to follow and full of all kinds of humour! Also, was 6:36 made using sound effects from GoldenEye 64?? XD
Yeah, Buff Dudes recently answered to one of my comments in one of their recent videos where I asked about "GoldenEye 007", and they said that they would always play Multiplayer on that game when they were younger. So they probably took those screams from that game, lol.

What's up guys
Channel idea FluffDude to BuffDude. .., FLUFF = Failure to Learn and Understand Food and Fitness.
@Buff Dudes would it be possible to do a video about the different diet programs e.g. intermittent fasting, carb cycling, etc?
what about stamina..u get it only by cardio right?? how to increase it??
Buff Dudes
If you want crispier potatoes, but don’t want to use a deep fryer, try boiling them in salted water for about 5-10 min
Before baking.
I love the 80s synthwave in the buff dudes videos.
Louisiana Outdoors same man
What song is their introsong
we want the song plz ahahahahha
Brother just do a music search for retrowave syntheave and chillwave and enjoy the journey
Found it a remix of quixotic palms
“Sees a video on cardio”
“Skips to the end to hear the conclusion”:
So there you go, the sweet potatoe french fries are done.
I actually laughed out loud. So true if you skipped ahead you're probably confused as hell
PRO TIP smoked paprika and oregano added onto the FRIES works nicely.
We'll give it a shot next time, thanks dude!

That "screaming to be eaten" part (9:13) was awesome haha and the Ferris Bueller reference was good too
Boxing training (hitting the bags) has to be the best cardio I've ever done. Highly recommend anyone to try it. Even if you aren't necessarily into fighting

jump rope is super fun for me
DrakosInfernos hell yeah. Works the hell out of your calves
Tony Guzman Thank you. Do you just go at it or is there a video or program you follow? Do you use gloves?
for me personally i lost over 110 pounds , just by eating properly ( low fats) going to the gym 2 hours ( 1 cardio and 1weights ) and my fav cardio machine was the elliptical . It took me over 9 months

DUDE Congrats ! That’s sick , how are you doing now ?
I can always use a refresher course in cardio training. Awesome!💪👍
"The best cardio is to not do cardio and eat better... anyways here's some sweet potato fries".
Expert advice.
This, sadly. Didn't vote it down because of the SPF segment, but this just wasn't up to the normal standard.
@@johnokeefe7489 I mean, sweet potatoes, baked in an oven, using olive oil, sounds healthier than bathing potatoes in oil and deep frying
Again, you guys are on point. Just finished my second round of your Buff Dudes cutting program and want to focus on cardio to get my fat down some more.
Ive honestly grown to love this channel guys. I appreciate you both.

Great tips ! I've personally always been a big believer in cardio myself! I believe it has helped me significantly in my active life over the years.
If you add some rosemary to the sweet potato fries while you cook it, it tastes like smashburger fries. It takes it to another level, great video.
My preference for cardio is swimming. Absolutely love it!

This is easily the most polished fitness channel on youtube.
Thanks buff dudes! Love all your vids keep getting better. Been in the gym almost 2 years now and I found and have been following u guys scince the beginning. I’m way ahead of most people in my local gym thanks to u guys
I should be studying for an exam, but you guys just posted a video
quality is getting better and better guys, keep it up
Nice job, Brandon. I appreciate the effort you put into this to make it so informative. A great mix of education and entertainment!
I love it, next time I walk into the gym and I see the treadmill, I’ll remember this video and remind myself that it’s not needed. Thanks I can’t describe how much I needed to hear this 😃

"That's why you get those sick mad pumps brah"
The synthwave music in your videos make them extremely interesting and unique just love the over all theme.
Man I love yalls vids, educational and the humor is my type of humor 😂😂
Hey Guys! I've discovered you yesterday and i would like to thank you for all the efford you invest in creating those videos.
Love the Ferris bueller ending! The “butt stay buff” got me! Lol
Right on Brandon, I couldn't agree more. This is the stuff that needs to be made aware across all the obese and generally all overweight people in america
Great camera and video work! Hate cardio but love the training tips and recipes.

What do Buff Dudes think about Intermittent Fasting?
Tim Drake it's detrimental to your metabolism don't fucking do it.
seems like just another fad
Are you fucking serious? I've done IF for a long time now and my metabolism is better than ever before.
Soy boys do it.
Tim Drake as a tool for weight loss, as long as you don't overshoot your calorie count, it works great.
Such great information video. Loved it!
I absolutely love the sound effects in your videos!!!

Wow!! Great editing.. I appreciate the work u put into this video! Very educational!!
I love your super easy recipes. Keep em coming. It’s nothing to impress a girl with but hey that’s what the body is for I’m training ;)
Really cool video, liked it a lot
wow love the simple recipe hope more are coming!!!
Love your recipes! For the sweet potatoes was that ketchup on the side?

Quindarious Gooch what form of hiit do you do or recommend
30 second sprints with 1 minute breaks in between, do it 10 times. If it feels too easy, run faster.
Ryan McChrystal i agree
Definitely worth the wait 💪
I love the common sense approach to cardio he takes; a life style change is important😊
Hahaha god i love those scream effects and the ferris beuller references, buff dudes you are killing it!! Your videos are just getting better and better, you both guys are master minds
Liked the video and how is your truck from when it got dinged
your videos have been so good lately dudes.
I love that groundhog day reference! I was just watching it. Thumbs up just for that!

Great video man! Some good advice here!
Oh my word I love you for sneaking the amazing Groundhog Day into this
Great video buffdudes..very imformative and entertaining and also nice tshirt...
Hi. M a huge fan of you I ve seeen n seein all ur videos. Can u take some videos or suggest somethng abt Indian food diet since the ingredients which u r using may not be available in the Indian Market.
Awesome video on the benefits of both! It is all about lifestyle change! Not just the right exercise!
Oh hellll yeah!! Brandon teasing Deadpool like that.
Too sweet.
You smashed it bruv with this video (and the others) Thank you
Great video as always. Very funny too. Good theme lol
Loving the consistent uploads
Great vid. I'd recommend also adding garlic and turmeric powder to those sweet potatoes. Maybe even basil or another spice. They taste incredible!
Love the ending- - - both, Deadpool and Bill M.
Pretty damn awesome video as always, keep it going, u guys rock !
Great job Brandon!
This video was 3 years ago but it's still a very good advice 💪 #staybuffed

Best ending i have seen in youtube video!😁🔥
You remind me a bit of both David Harbour and Matt Stone! :P
Love the videos you guys do!
