Id like add if u have little time to train and you want to get leaner but still build serious muscle, do many sets of lowbar squats without going to failure. doing legs 2 to 3 times per week will burn a insane amounts of energy, also big legs burn alot while ur just sitting :)

@@cimi93x I'm not saying anything is justifying anything here.
But neither their programs nor their diets are anywhere near impossible for healthy and somewhat young naturals.
Also, I don't think I've watched every episode with these guys but I've never heard them say their looks is achievable for the average guy (or any guy, for that matter).
Maybe ppl should not just assume they can look like their heroes, just because they "work their ass off" for a certain period of time. Not saying you cant build your body, only maybe not getting that specific look.
What one do need to reconsider and what ppl always seem to forget (maybe because its not talket about very much, cuz its so very individual) is what your own personal possibilities of rest and recovery looks like.
Permanent systemic fatigue wont let you grow anything.
Also, maybe buff dudes do have good genetics... Those ppl do exist.
And maybe those ppl are more prone to start up a YT channel wanting to inspire others!?

@@gerRule HAHA what a joke, do you think it's possible to work for someone whilst eating 10 times a day without getting fired?
Dude, employers will not tell you that you're a lousy employee because you eat 10 times a day, but they will fire you because of that and, assuming that you live in a Western country, they only have to say that you were too expensive for them as to nullify your permanent contract with them and don't even get me started on the ploys to nullify a temporary contract employers have at their disposal to get rid of employees that do not fit the bill of what they deem as a "productive" employee.
That's also the reason why most people that do want to adhere to a lifestyle where you consume healthy food XX times a day are either unemployed or, if they are lucky, they are freelancers ( myself included ) but even then it's tremendously difficult to go to the gym every single day and lift weights at 85% of your max for 1-1.5 hours WHILST working in an office environment for 40+ hours a week, sure, you can find 20 h/w assignments as a freelancer but, in some countries, as a freelancer you MUST track and prove that you've spent at least 1500 hours on your company in the entire year, otherwise you'll be fined, so no, if you think you can be successful whilst adopting this nonsensical approach, good luck with that and do let me know if you manage to earn 6 figures whilst doing all of this and going to the gym everyday and performing heavy lifts every single session.

My fitness goals have changed a lot since I started watched the Buff Dudes channel four or five years ago. Closing in on 40 meant a change in priorities for me, and my current programming reflects a need for more quality rest, quality nutrition and less of an emphasis on getting stronger every week (I said LESS, not NONE, mind you). As a result, I don't really return to this channel all that often, but I'm glad to see that you guys are still the same dudes. In all these years I've never seen y'all take the route of starting pointless internet turf wars as so many UA-cam fitness folk do. I wish you all continued success.

I stumbled across your channel and I really enjoyed some of your food challenge videos. After a long layoff from training, I, too, am trying to add 15 pounds of muscle. I know nutrition, hard training and sleep as you say are the keys to me reaching my goal. I just hope that I can be consistent with my nutrition. In the past, this has been a real problem for me, but after watching this video, I really believe that I can do it this time. I have Cerebral Palsy and I use crutches to get around, so I always have to get creative with my workouts. Where there is a will, there's a way right!

I'm 54 now.. Competed in powerlifting and bodybuilding..
When I first started it was Milk, Lift steady n heavy, Sleep, Rest, Eat, Repeat.. Always had some good training partners. Pushing each other along. Not shying away from Squatting and other basic movements.
Even now I get asked what I'm taking.
When I explain my daily intake of food.
Well some just look baffled.. Not all though.. So there is hope.
Plenty of Disco bodybuilding going on in the gym I train now.. All bench press and bicep curls..
Strangely they all have a back problem or knees.. Even at the tender age of 20, 25..
But there are a few that get stuck in.
So thanks for spreading the reality of what it takes to take the long healthy road..
As I inform it may take longer. But once you get it.. It doesn't go away.

I can eat a lot and still only intake about 1500 cals a day high carb/protein low fat. Having some idea with what to eat and how often to eat is a major help. I am 6'1 at 174lbs. I'd love to be around 200lbs or more with muscle mass.

@@magnusrasmussen951 I have gotten up to ~2400-2600 cals a day over the last week or so. I tried to gradually increase it. It has been brutal, I am always eating. Usually my macros in order from most to least are carbs, protein, fat. I have been trying to cycle in "high fat" days where I get more of it. Just didn't want to get so much fat that I start storing it. I don't really eat junk/fast foods. Hoping with this increase i start seeing some gains over the fall/winter.
