ALDI is amazing. I budget $80 every two weeks for groceries. The food is great. You can get a ton of it. And, I will occasionally have months where I skip a grocery trip because I've still got enough in the fridge. Like the Buff Dude demonstrated, if you buy whole, real foods, it's cheaper and better for you and your budget.

This video proves that you can get the right nutrition without spending a substantial amount of money. As many of the other comments say, I spend ~$40 each week for my lunches and dinners. The only addition I would recommend would be to invest in good spices and/or sauces (hot sauce, sriracha, etc.) Eating the same meals within a 5 or 6 day period can take a toll on your taste buds. Sauces/spices do a good job of mixing it up and help prevent taste aversion. Cheers!

parking next to someone else =
Security. You are guarding THAT side of their car, and they are guarding that side of YOUR car. Against thieves, runaway carts, etc.
OCD. People want to be second in line. You took first. They stack up next in line. How human is that? Very.
"Having a fat friend in the apocalypse" theory. If I park my Camry next to your Porsche.. which one are they gonna go for? Yours.

Nice video, love how you guys cover all aspects to fitness, not just focus on the exercising and such but give tips on how to shop as well. I honestly think shopping and portioning out food is the hardest part for me. I am so used to just tossing whatever I find on the stove or whatever when I feel hungry rather than planning out what I eat and how much of it I eat. I am also not that great of a cook, especially when it comes to chicken. I've come to really dislike the stuff because I can't make chicken breasts taste even remotely palatable without somehow adding unnecessary calories or relying on salt for flavoring (the latter I am definitely wary of as I've had hyper tension in the past)
Sweet potatoes are thankfully something I've grown up with as they are a bit of a staple when your family is mostly from the southern US. I'm partial to a few sprinklings of cinnamon and nutmeg though on my fries.

Awesome video, one thing I’ve learned about grocery shopping cheap is less variety in the diet means less money spent. Obviously you have to strike a balance and find a spot that you enjoy, so a cost/variety ratio that works for you. But a low option diet is the cheapest if you don’t mind the lack of choices.

I like Buff Dudes but they are so bros in the worst way. I eat GOOD, atleast .5 lb of beef .5lb of chicken, eggs, veggies, fruits, a quart of milk a day and snacks for less then $100 every 2 weeks. I swear prices just went up so Iam hitting towards $100 now and before I paid like $80 every 2 weeks for 2 years. Throw in protein powder and I easily have over 200 grams of clean protein a day. Ive been considering making cooking videos to help some guys out, I graduated culinary school and have some experience professionally, so I think I can really help others cook good food for reasonable prices.

Chicken, rice, and vegetables for lunch and dinner. 1 gallon of milk, large rice crispies for breakfast. That's about $35 at walmart. Spend your rest on sauces and spices for taste. Just when it get's old you realize you have $300 left at the end of the month and you do it again...

Careful with large amounts of tuna, they are higher on the food chain -> more bioaccumulation of a bunch of different stuff you dont want to eat. Salmon, sardines, and mackerel tend to be better alternatives if consuming a lot of canned fish :)

I personally go for beans, lentils and peanuts. These are cheap, high calorie, high protein foods and are some of the cheapest items money can buy. Frozen peas are also high in protein and buying chicken legs instead of tenders or breasts are less expensive and tastier.

wow America is quite expensive man. Here in Europe I can get:
    5kg of potatoes - 3€
    1kg chicken breast - 5€
    600g pork 4€
    1kg rice 1.5€
    1kg carrots 1.5€
    2L milk 2€
    1kg oatmeal 1€
    10 eggs 2€
    1 Brocolli 1€
    1 Courgette 1€
    1 Paprika 0.5€
    Onions + garlic + condiments for a week 0.5€
    ------------------+
    23€
I might have forgotten a few product with less than 30€ you can have a abundance of food here in Western Europe if you go to stores like Aldi, Lidl and the local market :^)

Just so people know, chicken will typically be cheaper if you buy it raw. Also, canned tuna is pretty expensive per pound relative to chicken. Also, also, don't be afraid of fats if you are bulking. High fat foods are typically the best calorie/dollar in my experience. Ie: butter, heavy cream, chicken thighs.

You could have thrown in a pound or two of dried beans that would have lasted you a while and gave you some extra proteins. I was surprised you didn't buy any beans or legumes and went for spinach and tuna.

Now do the same challenge here in Newfoundland Canada, you might be lucky to get 1/2 of what you got. Eggs 3 bucks for 12, Spinach 5 dollars, Oatmeal around 6 dollars, Chicken probably closer to 12 or 13 dollars. Sometimes I hate living where I live.

This strategy probably wouldn’t work for bulking, but if you also introduced intermittent fasting, less meals per day means more variation in your diet.

I mean, potatoes are just amazing. their cheap, and from a couple potatoes you can make multiple meals. you can clean and peel them, fry up the skins, cut off the round edges and make that into mash, and now with the square you have left, cut those into fries.

With the money you have left over you could buy 2 1lb bags of lentils that pack a serious protein/fiber/filling punch. Goes great with the brown rice.
Also glad to see Im not the only one who bakes chicken while still frozen. Its a great way to keep it juicy when its cooked to a safe temp.
