  • REPAIRING your sailboat in the boat yard is REWARDING, frustrating, funny, demoralising and tiring but it's a part of boat owning. Save money with DIY for epoxy, antifoul, gelcoat repairs. The target is to complete below and above waterline work to get OPTIONS back in the water within 7 days.
S2 Ep4: We get back to OPTIONS in Port Napoleon dry storage yard. She was near Paris in an old quarry marina for one winter, then in Decize at the end of the Nivernais Canal for the next. This last winter she spent cradled out of the water in a Mediterranean boat yard . The yard moved her from the drop spot, thankfully closer to water and electric points. Sheenagh is not good with ladders, but overcomes fear to get aboard. Is it dry and secure inside? Is there any damage?

Yeaaaa, start of a new season, cant wait to see what you get up to this year. Your trip down the french Canals has inspired me to take my boat across there as soon as I can.

    Hi, Great move to change
your 10 year old starter Battery is dead, float voltage low. As soon as it is loaded it will have no capacity, you may get the voltage up on no load, but the internal plates and current carrying parts will be corroded away.
Get videos followed you from getting stuck on the Humber.
    Take good care M

Thanks for "sticking" with us Michael 😊
We guessed on the age of the battery - it was on the boat when we bought her. Definitely agree with you.
      Stay safe

Hi Andy, thanks for the question. Cost is always size based at every location and our case an 11m boat attracts a 6 month fee anywhere from 1800 euro to 3800 euro. It’s worth doing desktop research for the area you want to be in, then sending a quote request before committing.
