Still come back to this after having seen it before and hands down the best response and slap down when someone decided to bite off way more than they could chew.
I never met Paul, but, I’m a HUGE fan of his. I’m very saddened about his passing. He always struck me as a highly intelligent and highly trained person who has tremendous respect, humility and self control. That being said, his calm and confident demeanor leaves no doubt that he was very dangerous if he needed to be. He’s wasn’t the type of guy that you want to mess with. It’s those calm speaking, intelligent, highly trained people that you have to watch out for if you’re looking for trouble. I admire him greatly!
I think Paul's viewers are not the type that can only concentrate for three minutes without losing interest. We like facts and information and it's interesting and not boring
The only time Paul bores me is the chronograph tests. I'm not saying "X is just-as-good as Y", it's just that I'm not particularly interested in the velocity or energy foot-pounds of this round or that.
There are a lot of gun fetishists and wanna be commandos out there. And honestly, I don't have a problem with that. But I prefer to get information from Paul, who's experienced and analytical.
He doesn't have the Hickok45 charisma, but he shares his opinion and backs it up the best he can. People don't share opinions and ideas anymore they either dont have them or they are afriad of others challenging them.

Paul, you’re absolutely correct: it takes far less time and less effort to tell a lie than to tell the truth. Your ‘boring’ commentary is engaging, interesting, informative, and useful. So it’s not boring.
Since the Gun Nut decided to cite his military service, and being retired from military service myself, I have to absolutely agree with Paul on the poor behavior of this guy. I watched the video addressing Paul Harrell and the followup to this video sarcastically thanking Paul for this video (I wish I did not give that Gun Nut a view and ad revenue). I never would have tolerated that unprofessional behavior from someone in uniform, and if someone was portraying themselves poorly and publicly (while it was obvious they are a service member), I would have addressed that as a matter of discipline as well. Also, the higher the rank or position of responsibility that person is in, the more they are expected to behave properly, and need to be smacked down. Paul is absolutely on-point to call that conduct unbecoming... I guess drama sells UA-cam views, but unlike Hollywood, where bad press is usually still good press, it should never be good for public servants (although politicians certainly often get away with it), especially those in the profession of arms. A good military professional tends to grow thick skin, and able to take feedback (although the U.S. Air Force personnel rating system is infamous for protecting egos and making real feedback easy to avoid), yet his rant video on Paul had the comments turned off --that speaks volumes. Finally, I object to Gun Nut's implication that civilians training for self-defense should not practice the same weapon-handling techniques as military or LEOs (along with a lot of drama and arm-waving to emphasize his point) --a life-and-death situation is a life-and-death situation. Well-practiced proper techniques, to include maintaining situational awareness, could easily be just the edge a person needs to "win" in such a competitive environment, and do it safely, especially for innocent bystanders. It does not matter if you are in a military hat, an LEO hat, or a civilian hat. The righteous defender and bystanders have a right to live in any case, and when a lot is at stake (e.g. life), the competitors tend to fall back on instinct, whether that is well-disciplined training, random chaos of no training, or something in between if they have inadequate training. I noticed that in playing sports, watching professional sports, and when I trained and competed in local IPSC competitions at a really good gun club at one of the bases I was assigned (coached by a retired operator who saw real combat a number of times in SOUTHCOM).
I put UA-cam on to fall asleep to, I’ve got bad tinnitus so I can’t sleep if it’s quiet, but I also can’t sleep if Paul is on. It’s so interesting and intellectual. I feel like this is how a gun channel should be
the reason Paul does the things he does, the way he does, is, he's trying to teach and keep the gun community safe, while others are just trying to get views.
That's Why He Is My Favorite Gun/Shooting Channel On UA-cam. Also Because He Is The Most Logical, Practical, Straightforward, Honest And Down-To-Earth Man With This Type Of Channel. He Is The Only Shooting Channel I Watch All Of His Videos (And Even His Old Videos Because I'm A Newer Viewer), And I Download And Save Them. I Wonder How Many Other Shooting Channels Have Gotten Somebody To Misfire Their Firearm Or Gotten Somebody Hurt Because They Motivated Someone To Do Something They Were Not At The Skill Level To Do....But They Saw Somebody Do It One UA-cam....
Truth Lover well put, not to say i don't enjoy demo ranch lol, but i truly don't understand when ppl have negative attitudes towards Paul, he's an instructor and he's doin his job well.
I think you can do cool things responsibly. I mean I watch me some Kentucky Ballistics. It is good clean family friendly gun fun, all that gets shot is jugs of milk and other targets. Thing is I dont think I ever seen Scott doing anything dangerous at all, big gun is just a gun. If you can shoot 0.22LR safely, you can shoot 20MM anti tank gun safelly if you apply the same rules and can do some basic math to scale things up.
Unfortunately in modern culture, a cerebral absorption of facts seems to be a largely discarded pastime. Infantile people like Caleb Giddings thrive on sensationalism and misrepresentation. Imagine a badly written scifi film with lots of high tier special effects. It may be interesting in some context for some people to notice, but in reality theres nothing there
When Paul chooses to speak to his audience, we all listen closely and truly appreciate his talking points. Where someone might see him as "long winded", we see him as thorough. Where some people might feel he is " going back to the dawn of time", we feel he is providing relevant information and experiences. Never change Paul, and leave the haters in the past where they belong...
I agree in that he is only long winded if you don't have the comprehension to understand his thoughts. I watched the gun nutz video and wow it was very poorly and emotional struck commentary that was quite cringe to watch!
I’m an Air Force veteran just like Gun Nuts is. I seriously doubt he spent his time “chasing camels” while deployed. Even if he were law enforcement he’d have been doing gate guard duty and spending his down time playing video games at the MWR tent and drinking coffee from Green Beans or even possibly smoking a Cuban cigar he bought on base. Truth be told, I don’t think he ever deployed. My deployment wasn’t shit and I don’t talk about it. I spent half my rotation in the TMO Passenger Travel office making sure everyone could get home and the other half working out of the shipping area. I don’t talk about how easy I had it, and how I was never in any real danger because others weren’t so lucky. I don’t talk about “chasing camels” or “hunting hajjis” or any other alliterative description someone wants to come up with because 1) I didn’t do those things and 2) I do know people who did those things and they either don’t talk about it at all or they don’t just bring it up all casually like he did. I’d like to see some evidence that this young man was in any way shape or form in a combat arms AFSC (that’s MOS in the other branches). Given his level of projection I’d be willing to wager he was either worked in the Military Personnel Flight (MPF) or had some other cozy desk job that didn’t require him to actively be in harm’s way. When Paul says he was a Marine and then transferred over to be A Nasty Girl (national guard for you civilian types) I take him at his word. When Paul describes his training and his time in the military I can tell he’s being authentic by the way he communicates it. We recognize our own through our language. I don’t get that from Caleb or whoever this kid is. Anyone that has to brag about how good they are probably aren’t as good as they claim or they’re just making shit up to sound impressive. Paul, I’m sorry some dolt a trying to get views by dragging your name through the mud.
I've run into a few fake VN vets over the years. They'll throw around terms they learned from a show and tell how you big tale of how dangerous it was and blah blah. I worked around dozens of real VN vets, none of them had a hero complex far from it.

Paul Harrell has a CIB. He's seen some shit. The fact that he doesn't talk about it only reinforces that in my mind.
I had never heard of Gun Nuts Media or Paul Harrel before this evening. I clicked on a 5-minute video from GNM recommended to me by UA-cam. I left that video at about the 90-second mark. I sought out Mr. Harrell's channel as a result of the GNM video. I have to give credit to GNM for steering me away from his channel to truly exceptional content..
Out of curiosity I went back to his channel to see what he was up to these days. Looks like he has deleted all the vids about Paul and posted nothing in 9 months. Yeah he really shot himself in the foot with that one.
I started training with the NRA in the Boy Scouts. I appreciate Paul Harrell's experience. He puts a lot of effort into each video and that's apparent. I'm not an attorney, so I don't know all of the angles that necessitated this "Rebuttal." However, to me, I usually "get" Paul's humor, and true authorities (whatever that is), sometimes fail to make me laugh. I recall that Ronald Reagan, like a Toastmaster, usually told a joke or two. Paul Harrell doesn't do that, but sometimes he is just funny in his own right, and laughing is good for the soul--so I watch Paul's videos. That's just my opinion and experience. However, I have noticed that although he calls himself "boring" and "tedious" at times, this "Rebuttal" has 1.1 Million views, so I know I'm not the only person that thinks Paul has a lot to contribute, period, and I'm glad he does. I became a Patreon subscriber specifically because I do actually watch and listen to Paul. I was shocked that the number of subscribers was barely north of 2,000.
Just rewatching, this is probably one of the best single videos published on UA-cam. Class and integrity, you are missed Paul.

Gun Nuts has mentioned deployments to... somewhere in past videos, and that he's some sort of firearms instructor.
@ yep.
Total civvie question: does the Air Force even have non-POG jobs other than pilots and guard duty?
I'm not an attorney, so I don't know all of the angles that necessitated this "Rebuttal." However, to me, I usually "get" Paul's humor, and true authorities
(whatever that is), sometimes fail to make me laugh. Paul Harrell deserves more than that.
@@wingracer1614 making yourself look like an untrustworthy source by poisoning the well and deceptively editing content from a throughly trusted individual is bound to catch up with people. I'm glad that this channel continues to provide outstanding content (even during the time of the Great Coof and the concurrent ammunition shortage). Uncle Paul is down to earth and provides knowledge without belittling his audience. That is much better than most people in this space.
Hahaha right!!!
@@AmBotanischenGarten Sir, I believe that you mis-read the subscribers numbers. It reads as 652,000 subscribers; 652K -> the K denoting "thousand". Have a good one!
I just bumped into the “I’m Dead” video like it seems several other people have today. Usually, I really struggle to focus on anything, even subjects I’m interested in, for any length of time. I have absolutely no idea what this man is talking about, but there’s something so peaceful about him that has my full attention..
The light breeze in the background, the birds, the scenery, and his voice. I feel like I could fall asleep to him talking and actually wake up feeling well rested. It has such a strong energy of contentment.
I’m glad he was dedicated enough to create such a lengthy digital archive for all of us to enjoy.
an absolute loser did a hatchet job, including clipping some footage of Paul to remove context to "correct him" and was totally ratioed into the ground. it was a REALLY pathetic attempt to try and steal Paul's glory, and it failed spectacularly.
“Today’s presentation will be long winded, tedious, boring, and require lengthy explanations.” ***Quickly paused the video. Came back with popcorn and coffee***
In my case it was marble pound cake and coffee

Fluffed pillow. Realized I wasn’t sleeping for the next hour or so...
So I'm not the only one who grabbed a snack, and settled in. 😉
Two cherry cheese danish at midnight.
Eat it today. Wear it tomorrow. 😁
...grabbed a cigar and put on coffee....
You don’t tug on Superman’s cape,
You don’t spit into the wind,
You don’t pull the mask off that ol’ Lone Ranger,
And you don’t mess around with Paul Harrell.
Solid musical reference!
Best comment of the Covid-19 Pandemic!
Caleb looked like a jigsaw puzzle with a couple of pieces gone...
I know. Different song.
Paul Harrell: "There's some things I have to deal with."
Me: "Oh crap, somebody's going down."
Hard, that mic he set off seismic alarms with that thumping.
Came straight here after watching the announcement video. Paul, was GOATED.
Mark Train also said, “Don’t argue with stupid people. They will drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience.”
Twain, of bourse. LOL
"Dont argue with children or drunks. Its pointless!"
John Veach
Do you know his real name was Samuel Clemens 🤣
John Veach especially me, when I’m drunk.
Kerry C is that like a reverse speech impediment? Lolol
Paul: "This video will be long boring and tedious"
Pauls subscribers: "YES!!! A whole hour of Paul!!" :) Me included.
As an aside, I loved your fake expert video, I laughed my ass off all through it. I meet those guys at the range all the time.
I actually had to take a second look at the length of the video, just to be sure I saw it correctly
@@ksigalbraith TELL US WHY?
I prefer " dawn of time " Paul.
Flew by...
"Those guys at the range" are why I don't go to ranges.
Speaking only for myself, it is sad that Paul was forced into making this rebuttal. I love the dry wit displayed occasionally on Paul's videos, but more importantly, I respect Paul Harrell as a man and a teacher. And I will continue to be a regular viewer.
I agree
Yeah he really doesn't seem very entertained by it. I don't think he's the kind of man to quit because he gets some idiot mad but I do think that having to constantly defend yourself from random idiots can really suck the joy out of a hobby.
Hopefully there won't have to be a next time.
Very well said Sir. I feel exactly the same way.
I also agree.....and I suspect I won't be the last to concur either.
WORD!
