Great band and Burton Cummings is undoubtedly one of the greates pop singer's of all time! 👍👍👍👍👍
you can say that again and still no one would disagree !!!!
American Woman, an absolute must!
The long one!!
The Live Version From Winnipeg is the Version You Need to Play
the AMAZING Burt Cummings. One of my all-time male vocalist. Really clean, passion and power. One of the best!
Oh ya, the rest of the band is freaken awesome too! LOVE THIS BAND!!!
Burton Cummings is one of the few vocalists on the planet with perfect pitch .. the song "These Eyes" is considered one of the most difficult vocalist songs ever .. very few singers can perform that song and make it sound good .. Burton masters it everytime and has a voice today that few older singers can outshine .. the Guess Who done us proud :)
Guitarist is Randy Bachman who later formed the group Bachman Turner Overdrive - B.T.O. had several great hits you want to check out... "You Ain't Seen Nothin' Yet".... "Takin' Care Of Business"
Blue Collar.
BTO!! It’s been a long time since I’ve heard their hirs. So good….
Oh yeah I forgot this fact ,another jewel in the Guees Who crown . Amazing band .
nice to see them still rocking! been listening to them since eigth grade! i'm 67
Just a bit younger. Was my first concert in summer of 1970 at CNE. Friend's 12th Bday party outing
They had 5 certified hits > These eyes , Laughing, This one , Undun & American Woman
Soon can you do Burton Cummings - "Stand Tall"
Clever name. They came out of Canada with a huge hit - "These Eyes" and produced many other hits like this one. Burton Cummings front man lead singer wrote most of their tunes.
So glad that you shared this one. This band has always delivered. Thank you!
The Guess Who are awesome. Check out more when you can. Hand Me Down World, No Time, Albert Flasher, Bus Rider, more...
Wow. They still sound great here, and this performance is probably 40 years after the song came out.
They sound exactly the same as they did in the 70's, outstanding! Love Burton Cummings.
Burton Cummins still sounds great, but like others have said, the studio of this and most everything would have been so much better mainly because his vocals would be 30 years younger, and the production in the studio was great!
There's a music video worth checking out by them of Clap For the Wolfman. You'll love that one. Burton's vocals are stellar and it's a fun song. Rain Dance is a fun one too. Otherwise, try Undun, and his solo Stand Tall. :)
Man they sound fantastic. Thanks for this reaction!👍
This is probably my favorite song from Guess Who, great band, great music. Though this concert appears to be decades past their top 10 years in the 60s and 70s, listen to them in their prime.
I guess who is one of my all-time favourite Canadian bands my cousin and I went to see them about seven or eight times Canada has some great musicians
The Guess Who ,have so many great hits . Please go down the rabbit hole with them . Blessings and good vibes y’all from Southern Belle.
You know you make me feel old lol rember this song when it came out. Late night with my gf and a joint 😮
Great song choice... Thank you. Love their studio version.
Edit "American Woman" is another great tune...
Loved this!
Huge fan, seen ‘em multiple times but this video showed me how they featured the acoustic as a weapon
Thanks. Great reaction.
My favorite of theirs. This album is the first I remember hearing as a child.
Great tune!!!
Great reaction!!
My brother said he was told by someone in the group that Burton Cummings left the group twenty years ago. His voice is so distinctive.
Another jewel Jarvis you've picked up! This is a very interesting band in a very interesting time and place.
what a timless gem!!
The best part is in the second half when they've got the two melodies going at the same time. I still have trouble keeping up when I try to sing the 'New Mother Nature' line in the back.
I have had a copy of this album/8-track/cassette/cd in my posession since it came out, at all times. If one broke, I replaced it as soon as I could. It is one I can't do without!!
Love the Guess....and listen to the OG heads. But ur trackin it
JM. Shamrocks up ☘️
Loved the Guess Who!
Very underrated band in my opinion.
Randy Bachman on guitar, Burton Cummings on piano. Randy went on to form Bachman Turner Overdrive (BTO) who are worth checking out.
I always knew Burton Cummings was a great vocalist, but I had no idea he could play keyboard like THAT?!
This is about 30 years after the song was a hit. Was the Running Back Through Canada version the version requested? Because I am a huge Guess Who fan but this sounded like crap, compared to the studio recording from 1970. The studio version is a work of art.
Listen to American Woman from the same performance, you won’t go wrong
I saw them in 1981 or so. In okc. They opened for Steppenwolf. They had the crowd out of their chairs from the 1st note. We were hot by the time Steppenwolf came on stage. I love Steppenwolf but I don't think they would have heated us up as much!
My hometown boys from Winnipeg, Canada.
Their is a 18 minute version of American Woman from this same concert that is an absolute banger!
Please check out
American Woman live from Winnipeg Running back through Canada tour.
Cheers
Ur nailing it mate!
Burton Cummings on piano, thats Randy Bachman ( Bachman, Turner Overdrive) on acoustic !
They are still together without the lead singer, Burton Cummings. They’re Canadian. They had the hit American Women that Lenny Kravitz covered.
They are performing this weekend in Florida. My brother is going to their concert and maybe going to dinner with the group.
I like all of their songs.
Two great ones are, These Eyes and She’s Come Undun, spelled just like that.
22K...Cool, smiles again.
Great video and reaction. You should checkout the studio version.
Sound pretty good, considering they were a 60s band. Rock on
Lead Singer Burton Cummings has a few solo hits. " Stand Tall "
This band doesn’t have one bad song, Burton Cummings had his first hit record when he was still in school…American Woman & These Eyes got him famous.👍💜
Pretty cool- I see all the orlginal band members playing a song 35 years old and sounding great! Funny thing is, it's a drug song, but it's known the Guess Who didn't really use 'em, unlike lots of the other 70's rock bands.
A Very Deep Rabbit Hole To Go Down
If you liked Randy Bachman on the acoustic guitar, he's got some great tunes with Bachman Turner Overdrive.
Blue Collar is great. Anything by The Guess Who is great.
What great songs! After all these years it still sounds great (although I like the studio version better). Songs like this stands the test of time. Greg in TN 😀
I may not be Canadian, but my Grandmother was! Canada has put out many, many great talents...and Justin Beaber. just kidding beebs. lol.
This is great, but should check out the song when it was released by "The Guess Who" in 1970 🙂
this sounds way different than the original band members recording in 1970
Pot...he is talking about MaryAnne....Marijuna is mother nature lol...brings bk memories
"So Long, Banatyne"
Guess who and 3dog night have the same sound to me.
Love your reactions. For a fun one that I've seen reacted to only once, try "Vanz Kan't Danz" by John Fogerty (Creedence Clearwater Revival) It's got a great clay-mation video!
Check out “The Ink is Black” live by The Guess Who
I can't find that and never heard of it.
Are you talking about Black and White by Three Dog Night?
@@hackermusic3355 Yes, the first time I put “Black and White” in, I got nothin’ and am waiting to be arrested😎
O.K. so you checked out a Canadian Power Band and as usual not alot of likes as a Canuck this does not surprise me. It was hard for them to break out into the American market....hence the reason American Woman was so popular with Canucks by them. Interesting story behind that song and the base line btw!!! You've most likely heard it by Lenny Kravits also a Canadian.
While it’s to see Burton Cummings and Randy Bachman back together, this is not The Guess Who when they’re young and strong. Having said that, I still enjoyed the show.
Studio version please
Perhaps Canada's best, arguments from Rush and Neil Young of course.
Yeah, they old here.
Not Canadian, but admirer of this band, very nice venerable rendition. Original, much better.
Burton Cummings had a great MUSTACHE back in the day. Can't decide who's was better Burton's or Brad Delp. 😂😂😂
I'd say Cummings, but Delp had such range.
@@bellabunnell3174 his mustache???
Should have done the studio of this one. Burton is a fantastic vocalist but, like some others, he became increasingly nasal. And the studio version is a 10/10 on production values.
Yes, no comparison with his younger self. None.
Hello can I please request the you have a look at Aurora 'murder song' from the nobel peace prize concert. It would be great to get your reaction.
Reactors Should Always Listen to the Studio Version First. Live can be very sketchy and it's not the version that most people are familiar with..which can make a Huge difference in how many people like and comment on your videos...this performance was nowhere near as good as the studio...you should listen to "Undun"..studio version!
It's simply a crying shame this band is not in the Rock'n'Roll Hall of Fame. Hard to respect the executives at the Hall because of that!! 😭😡
React to studio version first which is slightly different
Studio version of this is 💯 percent better
Now you must do a BTO.
Can’t you people get a regular job or really that lazy
What a ridiculous comment.
Don't need a job. WEALTHY enough to laugh about working. Do whatever I want each day for the past 15 years of happiness. Maybe you need to get a life.
