@@joonaahe essentially under counsel here in the US the cops can’t employ all these psychological tactics that play on ethos and pathos. Lawyers will just simply tell you what you are being asked and even tell you sometimes you don’t have to answer the question at all. But that’s after they bring you in. The guy in this video is in an involuntary interview which no lawyer would ever let you go into. So essentially lawyering up= he never goes here + he never gets caught and we don’t get this video

For people who are interested in this story more, you should really read the transcript of the conversation he had with his girlfriend that got his confession. It’s very clear that she knew about the killings and about the other ones too. The girlfriend herself claims to have Stockholm syndrome with another person, and this can be the case here too so I won’t call her twisted as well for just casually talking about the killings. She definitely had a behind the scenes plea deal with the FBI to get him arrested and her to have her out of the picture.

@@Spectre2409The thing about a death sentence is they are constantly pushing back those dates. For example: You get sentenced to death today, your execution date is set for Feburary 18th, 2029. Fast forward. It's now February 15th, 2029 and you just got a letter informing you you're execution dated as been pushed to December 4th, 2032...so on it goes. It's worse in that way. Sometimes they do execute you fast but most people will sit on death row for 20+ years before actually getting put down.

I remember watching this video on JCS, I was simply NOT EXPECTING THAT ENDING
While it’s true they did look and map out what they could with the security footage, cctv is very often poor quality, and there are other circumstances like the angle the cameras would be at (how many are directly facing the road), how long the establishment stores their security footage for (some places may only store 48 hours worth of footage for example, so if police come 4 days later it will not be accessible) how long the police have to wait in order to have access to the footage in the first place, etc

A cop pulled me over tonight. I just rolled down my window, got my license and registration ready, and waited for him to show up next to my car. He greeted me, I greeted him, I gave him my stuff, and we chatted a bit. Turns out I just had my headlights on the wrong setting and he just gave me a warning. I thanked him for letting me know and for all that he does and drove off once he returned my stuff. If u have nothing to hide, these encounters should be 0 problem for anyone innocent. Only the guilty botch these interrogations so hard because they knew they shouldn’t have done what they have done. Good on the detectives to pick up his being uncomfortable and capitalize on it.

Honestly when getting pulled over it's probably best to not even get your insurance and registration ready until he asks you for it. Reaching around and grabbing stuff in the car is going to just put the officer more on edge and it's safer just to wait for him to ask.
