i wouldn’t say he’s a psychopath, realistically this type of catatonic behaviour is possible by anyone experiencing a “loss” whether it’s a friend, loved one or a murder naturally as humans another human’s death is very significant and can cause this deep despair in the mind and he ran with it. As for the detectives they were entirely doing their job but i believe it’s as you say that he studied law as he looked to the detectives as a joke and predictable.

It's essentially the lowest risk persona you can play, but not very high reward. The more personable you act gives the detectives more information psychologically analyze you.

nah, I don't think that this is an act. I used to have extremely bad anxiety. At his sort of age, I had something extremely similar to this happen to me (not being arrested kinda thing!) but I had some sort of breakdown very similar to this, and ended up being hospitalised (can't remember what caused it, but that was a grimmmmmmm time). The way I would describe what he is going through is being lost in his thoughts and struggling to collect himself, you need time to sort of gather yourself together, but they keep prompting him to reply all the time. Honestly the strategy of trying to induce mental exhaustion is extremely counter-productive here, this is the RESULT of mental exhaustion, what happens AFTER you completely burn out. I would explain it as trying to build up an electric charge, you need a certain level of mental energy to break outta this state.. but then, every time they push him again its just like adding a ground wire and draining all that mental energy.

nah, I don't think that this is an act. I used to have extremely bad anxiety. At his sort of age, I had something extremely similar to this happen to me (not being arrested kinda thing!) but I had some sort of breakdown very similar to this, and ended up being hospitalised (can't remember what caused it, but that was a grimmmmmmm time). The way I would describe what he is going through is being lost in his thoughts and struggling to collect himself, you need time to sort of gather yourself together, but they keep prompting him to reply all the time. Honestly the strategy of trying to induce mental exhaustion is extremely counter-productive here, this is the RESULT of mental exhaustion, what happens AFTER you completely burn out. I would explain it as trying to build up an electric charge, you need a certain level of mental energy to break outta this state.. but then, every time they push him again its just like adding a ground wire and draining all that mental energy.
