After hearing this live version of Kashmir I cant go back to the studio version again. It’s song is their crown 👑 jewel! Today’s technology and their talent came together for one final EPIC concert that will stand the test of time. Long live the HAMMER OF THE GODS!!!
Best Band Ever! 4 brilliant performers in 1 band. They set the bar very high. Jason Bonham was very very good in this concert but his father was the best ever.
Sadly this was the last time that the 3 surviving members performed together. When they announced that they were performing for this special for paying tribute for Ahmet Ertegun the president of Atlantic Records. They broke world records of the most requested tickets in history, over 20 million in just a few hours. They had to announce a lottery for the luck 20 thousand world wide. The man playing the drums is Jason Bonham the son of the late great John Bonham drummer of Led Zeppelin. Led Zeppelin is my favorite band of all time, and Jimmy Page is my top 2 favorite guitarist of all time.
Jimmy Page--guitar Robert Plant--vocals John Paul Jones--bass and keyboards Jason Bonham--drums (son of the original drummer John Bonham who died age 32 in Sept 1980)
Mr. McCarttney, Jagger, Edge and tons of rock stars were there in the O2 stadium gathered for one of their life times to witness this great perfomance of their legendary rock brothers.
I've seen them live 7 times between 1969 and 1980, and they are without doubt the best live rock band ever. First time I saw them was at my local pub back in 69, and from then on I was hooked on their music. I've seen many other top rock bands ,including the Stones, Ac/Dc, Motorhead etc., live over the years, none can compare to Zep,,,. Robert Plant's voice is incredible, as is the musicianship of Jimmy Page, John Paul Jones, and son of Zep's original drummer John Bonham, Jason. I think he was definitely channeling his dad's skill on drums in this concert. He was absolutely perfect.
Saw them at the famed and fabled Earls Court gig in London in May 1975. Was involved in a car crash on the way there and sustained a slight head injury but... even though the car was written off nothing was going to stop us so... my friend I got on a train and carried on... and saw what was probably the best concert I have ever witnessed! Unbelievable band! Unforgettable concert!
After watching several of these Kashmir reaction videos, I love how all of the initial responses after hearing the very first beat is to start the head bobbing. You cannot listen to Kashmir and sit still. It forces you to feel it! Love it!!
There were 20 thousand tickets on sale for this Gig! 20 millions people tried to buy them ! Case closed ! Fastest selling gig of all time , and in my opinion the greatest of all time ! And great to see John Bonhams Son Jason doing his Dad proud on the Drums ! 💪🏼👊🏼
you've done such an amazing job at reacting to this. I've watched your vid over ten times. Love your openness and showing how you truly feel. We are blessed to have them come out of retirement so we can witness this perfection. Great job young man!!
@@scotttrainer9704 Don't make me cry. Taylor Swift isn't a rock artist anyway. Did she ever have 20,000,000 applying for tickets for her concerts though, like Led Zeppelin did?
They are the best ever. Greatest song ever too. Cant listen to Kashmir enough. The louder the better. Jimmy Paige. An absolute legendary guitarist. They are all legendary. Love it
😳😳 That moment when you realize that you were never cooler on the very best day of your live than a drop of sweat on these guys in their late 50's early 60's. 🤘Rock On!🤘
I know you have to do reactions to other genres, etc., however, after hearing what you've heard so far, don't be "done" with them. So what if you don't do a Zep reaction for another week, 2 weeks, a month, whatever but do come back to revisit their music. They're not just "Rock", they're blues, they're psychedelia, they're funk, they're soul, they're prog-rock, they're proto-punk, they're proto-metal, they're folk. There is still so much to discover within their catalogue.
you said the chills you got from this song, im sad to say you cant get these chills from modern songs, they are sooo manufactured... this is pure talent
Imagine coming out of retirement and *STILL* kill it like this! Even at their average age of 60 (except Jason), they absolutely smash *ANY* other current band! Legendary!!
GOATS! The drummer is the son of the late John Bonham aka Bonzo the original drummer of Led Zeppelin. Your opinion is spot on. No debate required. 😎👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Yep….. welcome to the club. I was born in 1960 and grew up with these guys. I am lucky to be of this generation. You have so much to experience. Robert Plant is the singer. If I remember correctly, he was 69 when this was recorded. Jimmy Page is the lead guitarist. John Paul Jones is on keyboards and plays a myriad of instruments. The drummer is Jason Bonham, the son of the original drummer John Bonham who died way to young.
EL SER HUMANO PIDE VERDAD..SIN EMBARGO SIEMPRE LA OCULTAN..DIOS!!!. ÉL PLANETA NO PUEDE ESPERAR MÁS...ÉL AMOR ES LO MÁS IMPORTANTE YPODEROSO DEL UNIVERSO...!!
Welcome to the best. Check out Dazed and Confused live from the song remains the same concert and Whole Lott’s Love from the same performance as well...... No Quarter is also amazing.....
LED ZEPPELIN are THE FOUNDERS of a very new (here 1975) Music-Genre mentioned in the future "HARDROCK" or "HEAVY METAL" that has NEVER existed in this form on our little blue planet before! They were young (20+) and they wrote milestones in music - Genius!!!
I know how you feel man. I grew up in the 80s my friends were all into hair metal , which I didn't really like, and RunDMC and Public Enemy , which I did like. But I discovered Zeppelin from my brothers record collection and immediately knew that hard rock had gone way down hill compared to what I was hearing on those LZ albums. They were just on a totally different level . I was in to the Police and Devo , but when it came to hard rock, I knew that no bands were even close to their level of creativity and versatility
Greatest band to ever grace the planet! You have seen nothing yet!! Do all the live Madison Square Garden1973 concert!! Also 1979 at Knebworth and In My Time Of Dying live from Earls Court!!
Those other bands you mentioned are great, but man these guys are pioneers and inventors. They are considered the GOATS BY MANY FOR GOOD REASONS. Let me back it up, you had one of the greatest drummers , one of the greatest musicians, JPJ, one of the greatest guitarists and yes the GOAT of rock singers, I mean you can't go wrong. RIP JOHN BONHAM! That IMO. THX BRO LOVE YOUR REACTION
I know what you mean. Im a huge Queen fan, and I knew Zeppelin's Stairway To Heaven, but the first time I heard Kashmir I was amazed! The sounds coming out if Jimmy Page's guitar and John Paul Jones on keyboards is hypnotic! And of course you cannot ignore Robert Plant's vocals! The man on drums is Jason Bonham, the son of the original drummer John Bingham. I know that Led Zeppelin broke up after John Bonham passed away. Im not sure, because im still learning about the band bu t I think this concert was a one and done type deal for Led Zepplein.
Try watching some of the Royal Albert Hall videos of Zep circa 1975. Then you can see them in their prime. Also check out "It might get Loud" where Jimmy Page schools Jack White and the Edge from U2...
You commented on how, even as old guys they sounded great. True dat. But here's a fun run for you: first do Black Dog (Live MSG, NYC, 1973) to give you a baseline (Robert screwed his vocal cords and lost his highs just after), you have just seen 2007 (songcraft makes up for lost highs): now check 2008 Robert Plant & Alison Krauss - Black Dog: ua-cam.com/video/ogMBgUVPMXU/v-deo.html (Robert 60) and here's vintage Robert with his current band (2017- Robert 69) the Sensational Space Shifters- Carry Fire (Live):ua-cam.com/video/Z4UD8DKAu04/v-deo.html . Greatest band ever. The drummer is the some of the great John bonham,Led zeps original drummer.he is also Robert Plant ( singer) Godson. This was in 2007.celebration day. They are still brilliant
So you guys I did the math...Robert Plant's Birthday is this month on the 20th of August(Leo) and was born in 1948......He is 73 years young now....this concert was done in 2007......... 14 years ago....... He was 59 years young when he did this concert!!!! Which is AMAZING!!!!! And guess what he and Led Zeppelin with new members are on tour in Europe now!!!! There is a recent concert they did. Check it out!!!! Now Robert Plant is the lead singer and songwriter......Jimmy Page is the lead guitar( one of the Best in the music history along with Stevie Ray Vaugh. Jimi Hendrix. Brian May. Steve Howe. Pete Townsend) and songwriter. Jason Bonham(who is the son of the Legendary drummer of Led Zeppelin: John Bonham). John Paul Jones is the Bassist/Keyboard player. Most of these gods were in their 60's so gods never really die!!!!! lol
Out of all the songs the band did, this is their favorite, even though Stairway To Heaven is considered the greatest rock song, which is also their song. Stairway for the last 50 years has ranked the number one song, & has been played more then any other song. I love how blown away you are, & this isn’t them during their prime, though they sound amazing here. Guitarist Jimmy Page does own the stage, not only the greatest guitarist, but the founder producer mixer etc. of all their music.
Realize that this is live, over 30 years after released, in their 60s and if you watch this live from the 70s, this is a better version... take that in, absorb it and enjoy...
Dude, all the others were loved. Zeppelin was revered. Bye the way, that old guitar player has written more recognizable hooks than pretty much everyone else combined. (Exaggeration, but not by much)
this is probably one of the worst reactions to this particular version of the song I've seen - and I've probably watched like 20 of them so far. too many interruptions. let the song play, give those who haven't heard it a chance to "digest" it. bad. so bad.
Saw them in 75, yes my fav for 50 yrs
The greatest band to ever grace the stage. They were then ,they are today and will forever be tomorrow.

I don’t believe they used today’s technology, they never needed to, when you’re the greatest that’s all it takes.
Best Band Ever! 4 brilliant performers in 1 band. They set the bar very high. Jason Bonham was very very good in this concert but his father was the best ever.
Jason was playing his father's drums. The band refused to use any autotune...it's all them!

I believe John Bonham's son is playing drums at this concert.
Jimmy Page--guitar
Robert Plant--vocals
John Paul Jones--bass and keyboards
Jason Bonham--drums (son of the original drummer John Bonham who died age 32 in Sept 1980)
Mr. McCarttney, Jagger, Edge and tons of rock stars were there in the O2 stadium gathered for one of their life times to witness this great perfomance of their legendary rock brothers.

Zeppelins the bar. You’ll find nothing else like it.
Zeppelin sold more albums than the stones, only the Beatles sold more.
Album sales very on different sites, but Taylor Swift and several others have sold more albums.
