The drummer is Jason Bonham, John’s son. He knew the music and the groups style. Nobody else could have ever taken John’s place and made it sound this good. RIP John
@@RonHouck-eb1cn in an interview with Jason, he said he listened & learned all the music, because he wasn’t sure what songs they’d play. His playing is different then John’s, but Jason was the best person to fill his father’s shoes.
Jason was dope, a chip off the block, not as powerful as his dad but really good in his own way, he is the best drummer I have seen in this century, I saw him with his solo band in the 90s, then with UFO and supporting Heart on their Led Zeppelin tour, he is the real deal, an awesome talent, perfect for them.
@@vicprovost2561 I agree, the power of John was more an easy power, Jason did an amazing job && did his father proud. What you saw is an example of how truly talented Led Zeppelin (and while not seen in this video, other bands of The Golden Era Of Rock) were. No need for auto-tune and other garbage tricks relied on for modern music. Just the combination of being tremendously gifted, hard work staying sharp, keeping up on vocal training ... and tons and tons of pure confidence and swagger. Strike 3 for me too, tried then, also actually had tickets in my hand for them in Boston1973 but the show got cancelled because the crowd broke into the Boston Garden lobby and ransacked the concessions so Mayor White cancelled the show. Heartbroken! Also 1980 my best friend worked at a record store with a ticket master outlet their, he guaranteed 4 tickets to Zeppelin when the tour came to New York, then Bonham died. I love watching reactions when I know what's coming. When I'm sort of feeling down, I watch anyone reacting to this version of Kashmir. I know when Robert hits that first beautiful long note so I watch as everyone is astonished and it brings a lump in my throat; maybe a happy tear or two. Long Live Led Zeppelin!
The " new drummer" is Jason Bonham, John Bonham's son. Watch the encore song they did from the same concert, Rock and Roll. There is a drum solo at the very end of the song that Jason ABSOLUTELY NAILS!
Jason would even sit in for his Dad when he was young in practice. Robert is Jason's godfather. Another great heart felt reaction. A vote for Rock & Roll from this concert. Rock on

This is my favorite classic rock song and of course it's from the greatest classic rock band. They set the bar pretty damn high 50 years ago And only Jason can fill those shoes
I remember watching this on TV. Just before this Jimmy had been noodling around reminding everyone why This is Spinal Tap was made. I was contemplating getting a book...and then they played Kashmir and became the greatest rock and roll band in history.

Steph, for me, every day when i hear Led Zeppelin's music is celebration day! If you want to hear one of best drum's solo in the history of the rock music, Led Zeppelin's "Moby Dick" is THE ONE! John Bonham🥁... Otherworldly!!! There are live performances of this song that is proof that John Bonzo Bonham is one of the GOATS on drums! 🥁 Anyway, i love your reaction, and hello again from Serbia 🇷🇸!
LZ formed in 1968, 56 years ago. They disbanded in 1980 after the death of the drummer John Bonham. The GOAT drummer. This is the only performance they did as LZ after Johns death with his son Jason filling in on drums.
Love your passion and open sincerity, Steph. Those of us of the baby boomer generation appreciate that you share a love of the music of our youth. I was 15 when Led Zep released their first album and to me, they were in a class all of their own. I don't remember if you have reacted to "Dazed and Confused" from this same concert but it's another exceptional piece from them 😁👍

What is and what should never be is a song I think you would like. Has a similar feel as over the hills and far away. The live version from royal Albert hall is great
Oh, let the sun beat down upon my face And stars fill my dream I'm a traveler of both time and space To be where I have been To sit with elders of the gentle race This world has seldom seen They talk of days for which they sit and wait All will be revealed Talk in song from tongues of lilting grace Sounds caress my ear And not a word I heard could I relate The story was quite clear Oh, baby, I been blind Oh, yeah, mama, there ain't no denyin' Oh, ooh yes, I been blind Mama, mama, ain't no denyin', no denyin' All I see turns to brown As the sun burns the ground And my eyes fill with sand As I scan this wasted land Try to find, try to find the way I feel Oh, pilot of the storm who leaves no trace Like sorts inside a dream Leave the path that led me to that place Yellow desert stream My shangri la beneath the summer moon I will return again As the dust that floats high in June We're moving through Kashmir Oh, father of the four winds fill my sails Cross the sea of years With no provision but an open face Along the straits of fear Oh, when I want, when I'm on my way, yeah And my feet wear my fickle way to stay Ooh, yeah yeah, oh, yeah yeah, But I'm down oh, yeah yeah, oh, yeah Yeah, but I'm down, so down Ooh, my baby, oh, my baby Let me take you there Come on, oh let me take you there Let me take you there
This became my favorite Led Zeppelin song when I bought this album back in 1975. I had all their albums up to "In Throughthe Out Door", which was the last one I bought in 1979. After John Bonham died in 1980, I did purchase a couple of collections of reissued songs. This song quickly became my favorite, I understand that it's Robert's favorite as well, song. After seeing this performance, dozens of times, it's clear why. You can't go wrong with any song from this concert.
Steph Their set was part of tribute to their label, Atlantic Records' founder, Ahmet Ertegun. Tribute concert was recorded in 2007, year after Ahmet's death in 2006 at the age of 83. In 2012, footage released as Celebration Day with Led Zeppelin as headliner. One Million of LZ's fans paid 125 to 250 Pounds to get tickets by Lottery of 20,000 tickets. Concert event was at the O2 Arena. Fans thought that Led Zeppelin were embarking reunion tour with John's son, Jason Bonham. I read that Jimmy and John Paul Jones were up for the tour, but Robert Plant declined the interests. Jason learned from his father; John Bonham as John showed him of drumming since Jason was a kid.
When asked why he didn't want to do a Zep reunion tour, Plant always said he was always moving forward, etc. And while that's true - it's a fact that if this were a tour, he would not sound like that by show 3 or 4. His larynx would be falling out. He had to sing songs that didn't require all the high octane wailing that a lot of Zep songs did. Even in the 70's his voice would give out on tour and they had to postpone shows.
Miss Steph, you have made the best reaction on UA-cam with this video. I can tell you have warmed up to the band members and was as astonished as I was when I saw a nearly 66 year old Robert Plant and nearly 69 year old Jimmy Page. My reaction was exactly like yours! At least we have this great souvenir of their last performance. Your reaction just confirms how magnificent they were, this music kills modern listeners just like it did us back when it was happening in the 60\s/70s. Steph has certainly got the Led Zeppelin in her veins there's no denying that fact the times I've watched her reaction to all the Led Zeppelin videos you can see the excitement written on her face and you know she has real appreciation for there outstanding music and especially when performing live steph is a true fan I firmly believe she is and I think given the chance to see them live she would for sure they are true legends and there music will live on forever and ever and rightly so and I really enjoy watching steph in the chair doing a wonderful job she's a wonderful fine young lady who really does understand real music that's for sure 😊🎉
Watching you react to Lad Zep warms my heart. I love how much you love them. Thank you so much for sharing your experiences with us.
Only a true Led Zeppelin fan tears up when they hear Kashmir.
I have literally listened to this version over 1000 times. Its one of the most amazing performances I have ever seen! Great review and reaction!
At 15 I lived and breathed this amazing band, still do at 67 now,
The " new drummer" is Jason Bonham, John Bonham's son. Watch the encore song they did from the same concert, Rock and Roll. There is a drum solo at the very end of the song that Jason ABSOLUTELY NAILS!
The best of the best forever Led Zeppelin.
Jason would even sit in for his Dad when he was young in practice. Robert is Jason's godfather. Another great heart felt reaction. A vote for Rock & Roll from this concert. Rock on
Acho seus vídeos muito bons! Adoro assistir a sua reação ao Led Zeppelin. Seu gosto musical é fantástico. Saudações à você! Ah! Você é linda! Parabéns!
They came to town in early '75 and played this tune before the album came out. I remember thinking, wow.
Just saw Robert Plant perform with Alison Krause on 7/2! Still so amazing and such a privilege to share a space with this legend. And - he still has that awesome hair!
This is my favorite classic rock song and of course it's from the greatest classic rock band.
They set the bar pretty damn high 50 years ago
And only Jason can fill those shoes
I remember watching this on TV. Just before this Jimmy had been noodling around reminding everyone why This is Spinal Tap was made. I was contemplating getting a book...and then they played Kashmir and became the greatest rock and roll band in history.
How can anyone not love your reactions! You are my favorite of all of the reaction channels I have checked out.
Jason Bonham, like his father, is a brilliant drummer. Check out his band, Black Country Communion. There is no guitar solo in Kashmir.
We fans love you too Steph! You are so genuine and it is great to see someone from a younger generation understanding their music. I was there at their live concert in 1973 and will remember it forever. x Robin
Well done! Dig the reaction! Excellent version! 🤘😎✌️
I had the honor and privilege of seeing Zep in 1977 @ MSG. The entire show was a highlight but when they played Kashmir, it was magical.
I was so lucky to be at Knebworth 1979 one of the last public performance of the late, great, John Bonham.
But yes Jason nailed this one!
You can watch many classic songs in this one show. This was one concert and is called Celebration Day.
I saw them 5/30/77 outside of Wash DC. The audio is online. I sat the first seats off the floor right across from Jimmy.
Zep!!! Yes!!! Thank you for doing this reaction.
You're a rocker, Steph! Excellent reaction!!
Iconic song from this band... 😍
Word for word I could not have said it better you damn right
Steph, for me, every day when i hear Led Zeppelin's music is celebration day!
The documentary film was made 2012. The actual concert was 5 years before in 2007. Keep those dates in mind when you see these guys perform now.
What a great reaction, it looks likr you're about to tear up. I love it.
Love your passion and open sincerity, Steph. Those of us of the baby boomer generation appreciate that you share a love of the music of our youth. I was 15 when Led Zep released their first album and to me, they were in a class all of their own. I don't remember if you have reacted to "Dazed and Confused" from this same concert but it's another exceptional piece from them 😁👍
This footage is from Celebration Day back in 2007... There is other footage of Page and Plant only available on this platform! This is the last time they performed all together with JB son Jason playing drums! The greatest Rock band in History 👌😎
great reaction LED ZEPPELIN the best band saludos from Argentina
Hey Steph..Robert Plant is on tour right now with Alison Krauss!!!
What is and what should never be is a song I think you would like. Has a similar feel as over the hills and far away. The live version from royal Albert hall is great
Oh, let the sun beat down upon my face
And stars fill my dream
I'm a traveler of both time and space
To be where I have been
To sit with elders of the gentle race
This world has seldom seen
They talk of days for which they sit and wait
All will be revealed
Talk in song from tongues of lilting grace
Sounds caress my ear
And not a word I heard could I relate
The story was quite clear
Oh, baby, I been blind
Oh, yeah, mama, there ain't no denyin'
Oh, ooh yes, I been blind
Mama, mama, ain't no denyin', no denyin'
All I see turns to brown
As the sun burns the ground
And my eyes fill with sand
As I scan this wasted land
Try to find, try to find the way I feel
Oh, pilot of the storm who leaves no trace
Like sorts inside a dream
Leave the path that led me to that place
Yellow desert stream
My shangri la beneath the summer moon
I will return again
As the dust that floats high in June
We're moving through Kashmir
Oh, father of the four winds fill my sails
Cross the sea of years
With no provision but an open face
Along the straits of fear
Oh, when I want, when I'm on my way, yeah
And my feet wear my fickle way to stay
Ooh, yeah yeah, oh, yeah yeah,
But I'm down oh, yeah yeah, oh, yeah
Yeah, but I'm down, so down
Ooh, my baby, oh, my baby
Let me take you there
Come on, oh let me take you there
Let me take you there
This became my favorite Led Zeppelin song when I bought this album back in 1975.
Steph
Their set was part of tribute to their label, Atlantic Records' founder, Ahmet Ertegun.
This is the ultimate zeppelin song
Great reaction, Steph. Plant's voice is still remarkable.
Love and appreciate the Hart felt reaction
When asked why he didn't want to do a Zep reunion tour, Plant always said he was always moving forward, etc. And while that's true - it's a fact that if this were a tour, he would not sound like that by show 3 or 4. His larynx would be falling out. He had to sing songs that didn't require all the high octane wailing that a lot of Zep songs did. Even in the 70's his voice would give out on tour and they had to postpone shows.
Led Zeppelin rocks. Thank you for my daily fix.
Miss Steph, you have made the best reaction on UA-cam with this video. I can tell you have warmed up to the band members and was as astonished as I was when I saw a nearly 66 year old Robert Plant and nearly 69 year old Jimmy Page. My reaction was exactly like yours! Lol
I think I have viewed your video 10 times since it posted on UA-cam and watched 2 minutes after it dropped? 😂 Simply put, you have the best reactions on Zep songs. 👍 anyways, have a good evening from Florida, US Boa Noite
You should really see the first 3 songs from 1970 Royal Albert Hall.
I went to see Robert Plant on the 13th and 14th August at TheQueenElizabethTheatreinVancouver, BC!! Robert Plant sounds amazing still and such a great guy!! Cost me alot but I paid for the Meet and Greet!! ❤😊
Great reunion concert, the only shame is they did not do a tour after as those old men could still play and do justice to their immortal catalog. At least we have this great souvenir of their last performance. Your reaction just confirms how magnificent they were, this music kills modern listeners just like it did us back when it was happening in the 60\s/70s. For more from this show, try their amazing No Quarter and get lost in the atmosphere! They could have sold out this huge arena 500 times when they put tickets on sale, they were overwhelmed they were still uber popular with all generations in 2007. So it is in 2024 and will be as long as we all listen to Rock Music. Enjoy!🔥🎵🎸🎤🎹🎶🔥
OH WoW THIS is a very **Most BEST Reaction EVER!!!** just **Beautiful** i SO Luv that you are SO in Luv with them like we ARE! Your reactions to **MyBelovedOtherWorldlyLedZeppelin** bring such **Joy** to me Thank YOU ever so! **PixieHugz&LuvzALL**
This is an epic performance…These guys are in their mid to late 60’s…except for Jason(drummer)…loved your reaction…the emotion you feel…I feel the same when watching this…
As good as the studio version of this song is, THIS version leaves it in the dust. What an amazing performance.
Love ur reaction Steph, amazing group, jason bonham did a superb job,his dad taught him well.jason is also Roberts godson. I never tire hearing Led Zep. Been a fan since the very early 70s,still am,i listen to them daily. Carry on down the rabbit hole. Robert is still so sexy.xx
This live version is better than the original studio recording! FIRE!!!
O Pink Floyd faz ecos na galáxia, o Led faz ecos no universo.........
Amazing band.....Amazing fans.
Oh Steph, no way you are 29. You look younger. It’s amazing that LZ could still play at this high level when they are in their 60’s here except for Jason. I’m loving your musical journey Steph, keep it up
I only wish you knew the drummer in this is Jason Bonham, son of John, before you reacted to it. This is a good one...of my favorite Zeppelin song. It is actually from Dec. 2007, and they aren't doing badly for them all being 60yrs 2 yrs at that time...except for Jason; of course. They disbanded after John's death in 1980...but Jason on drums is why this is so special.
They broke up when John died in 1980. This was a one off special they did. After this performance they refused a billion dollar contract to do a tour.
Plant refused it, I’m sure the others would have done it.
Yeah, the others were bummed, as were all of us...
You know that's John Paul Jones on the keyboards? It's the original band except the drummer is Jason Bonham, John Bonhams son, who was in the movie "Song Remains the Same."
Bonzo wasn't just a key musican for the band but their backbone, who held their egos together mentally aand musically.
You should do the Heart tribute to Led Zeppelin performance at the Kennedy Center Honors
Jason, John's son was doing band warmups and sound checks with the band at 6 years old Jimmy said in an interview and couldn't tell the differnce between him and John till he turned around and saw it was Jason! that's him in this performence here!
The golden era of ROCK great reaction 👏👏👏👏
You will not find any more recent live recordings, because this was the last time they played together. 20,000,000 people wanted to go to this show. It hold the world record for ticket requests for a single show, to this day.
The drummer is actually the son of original drummer John Bonham, Jason.
the new drummer, is john bohan's son, jason bohan, band deciced only he could replace his dead father and lineup with led zepelin for this performance, and i should say, john was smilling from up at the heavens, watching his son, doing his job at his superband
they started at their teen's
This was My friday night chillin music
