I don't know the root cause, there was nothing up until the moment on the highway it started losing power to indicate a bearing was roached. I bought the van at auction for under $5k. Judging by the amount of red RTV on every removable cover, I would bet a bearing already failed, and somebody slapped one in just to sell it.
Hmm wonder if that’s what took out the lower end!
