  • Roush's Phase 2 Supercharger packs quite a punch with its all-in-one package that is advertised to bring 750 hp and 670 lb-ft of torque to your 5.0L Mustang. But how much does that translate to when put this ‪@RoushPerformance‬ Supercharger to the test on the rollers? Especially when all odds are against you on the dyno! From speed limiters to almost 90-degree ambient temperatures, see why #horsepower ratings can vary from weather to location.

I Really like the Roush kit. I've had it on my gen3 GT for a couple years now. These numbers in the video seem a bit low. Mine was not on a happy dyno and still pushed 608hp 546 torque on the Roush calibration. I live in Houston and my numbers were pulled in the summer. We didn't notice any heat soak until after the third pull. This is one of the more modest kits, but it's extremely capable of making more power with the correct supporting mods. Awesome kit if you aren't trying to make 1000+hp. I've seen many people push 700-800hp on their daily drivers with the Roush setup

I have a roush phase 2 on a 21 Mustang GT. I totally regret purchasing this kit. I would have been far better off changing the exhaust and getting a custom tune. The car only dynos 450ish rear wheel horsepower. It keeps pulling throttle, not timing just throttle. Iat2 less than 130 degrees. The kit was installed at a Ford dealer. 3 other dealerships looked at it couldn't fix it. Roush would not fix it. Everyone said it was the tune. Had a custom tune. Car is still slow. To anyone thinking about getting a Roush Performance not so supercharger, My advice is DO NOT BUY A ROUSH.

I agree that something is probably wrong with the car. Roush is supposed to have a warranty to fix any issues. I bought the car brand new and had this kit installed at the dealer. The short story is Roush would not fix this car. I had proof from a dyno that this car was performing very poorly. I took it to 3 different dealers. They all said that they will only do what Roush allows them to do. They only thing they did was joy ride my car through stop and go traffic and said "we can't douplicate the problem". We drove though town and it drives like a normal car. What's the point of having a warranty with zero support? I have thrown a lot of money at the car went through several shops, different mods, and 2 tuners after Roush told me to get bent. Nobody can get this car to perform. Roush will never see another penny from me.

I'm pushing 1021rwhp in a 20 GT350R with a built voodoo 5.2 with a Whipple 3.8 gen 5. Before I rebuilt the engine I was making 863rwhp. Roush makes some very good parts don't get me wrong I use some of their parts. They're just not on the same level as Whipple or Kenne Bell. I wanted to keep my car streetable but if I want to go totally track or strip there's more hp left on the table. They still have the top speed limiter on when programming, none of the others do that, it's better than that crap Edelbrock is trying to put out.

He had overheating problems, lower temp thermostat, aftermarket fan, programming we ended up going with a larger radiator and intercooler. That finally fixed the problem but it was a pain in the ass.
