    Brent, how did fueling look with the supplied injectors and no boost a pump?
    Did the DI/47’s keep up?
    I assume u logged it, does it look to be on the edge (RWHP) without a BAP?

    What is the difference between the phase 1 and phase 2 of the roush kit?
    Is it literally just the bigger heat exchanger and more aggressive tune for phase 2 or does phase 2 also have a slightly smaller pulley for a smidge more boost?

    • @BrenspeedEngineering
      @BrenspeedEngineering  2 роки тому +2

      As of today if you purchase a phase 1 you get the larger heat exchanger so now the only difference is just the tune. Back in the day only the phase 2 had the larger heat exchanger but now everybody gets it. Same pulley just hotter way more advanced tune.

    I bought a new 2020 mustang with a rousch blower from a dealer who sold it to me claiming 700 hp. I put the car on my dynojet dyno that ive had for 17 years and couldn't believe it made 662 rhp with 200 miles. I posted the videos on my channel. Then i figured it was a phase 2 kit that the dealer didn't know they installed. Thanks for the tip on the fan to kick on. I was trying to figure that out. I enjoyed your videos!!

Just curious, since I don't own either, but I know both brands are well respected, and the IAT's on the Gen 5 are supposed to be very good.

    Love the videos!!! The 3 year 36K warranty? Does that start from 0 miles on the car or from when you install the kit? My 2019 GT currently has 27K miles will I get 36K more miles of warranty or just until the odometer rolls 36K and how would this effect my 5 year 100K mile warranty I bought with the car?

    • @BrenspeedEngineering
      @BrenspeedEngineering  2 роки тому +2

      The Roush warranty is for your drivetrain. That means you still have your other warranty for non drivetrain items. It starts from when the car was first sold off the dealership lot when new... not from when you install it. So no you don't start at your 27,000 miles.... start from however much was on it when purchased new so 0 or 20 or whatever it had...

    Fantastic to see this review. I have a 2018 Roush Jackhammer phase 1. Does this stop things like the heat soak I hear. What are the base numbers look like to the new phase 2 kit. And can you just put the new inter cooler with out the phase 2 tune load in. As I have a 5yr 60,000 mile Engine & trans warranty. Will this work on 91 Octane or just 93... Love your work and Video's.

      Brian yes you can give Roush a call to get the updated heat exchanger. Do it. Also they might even have a new calibration for you. Keep the car up to date you will love it. Honestly I would jump right into the phase 2 at the same time. We have the phase 2 upgrades if that is the way you want to go. Link in the video description. THANKS for watching.

    • @freak_5.042
      @freak_5.042 4 роки тому +1

      The heat soak comes from the fact the Roush chose to keep that particular design where the intercooler sits on the bottom of the blower and on the 18 and up cars that meant having to reduce the size of the intercooler to fit because of the valley being crowded with all the DI stuff and extra knock sensors. Whipple flipped theirs and Edlebrock as well putting the intercooler on-top. Them IAT2 temps of 125 with a big fan blowing like that are horrible in my opinion. Think about what they will be on a hot 90+ degree day....

      I have never seen that or ran into it and not only do I run this kit on my own car but we install them all the time. I would say do two things. 1. Make sure everything is installed correctly and 2. get the most updated calibration loaded on the car. That way you know the PCM has the flash that everybody else has been running. Maybe you have some old flash, or maybe it did not load on correctly, but you should not get those codes. So check every aspect of install and get the newest calibration. You should be good to go.

      They are rated flywheel. You wont make rear wheel horsepower what the flywheel is advertised at. Also the Roush tune hits the speed limiter when you dyno in the correct gear so you are not seeing max rwhp on the dyno because as it is still climbing it normally shuts off because you are at the max of the speed limiter (not rev limiter, vehicle speed limiter).

    • @BrenspeedEngineering
      @BrenspeedEngineering  4 роки тому +3

      Hi Don your 350 is awesome. As far as a GT350 goes yes Whipple is the most popular due to the fact there are very few choices for a 350. Many companies do not make a kit for it including Roush. I have used everything as far as brands of superchargers on different applications. I have owned pretty much every brand supercharger on many of my cars in my life. Most all have there place depending on what somebody wants to do with the car. If you want less low end torque down low then you would go with something like a Vortech as the boost comes in slower than say a Whipple on a GT350. Nothing wrong with either kit it just depends what you are after. THANKS for the comment. Also to answer your question I am a low end torque type of guy so that is why I like the TVS/Twin Screw kits on my drivers. I run a Roush on my truck also it really helps the low end on the F150.

      Thats just because of getting into the throttle slower to make sure max traction is happening. A lot of times on this kit you just cant go instant wide open throttle at say 2500 as it may spin a little so by getting into the throttle slower you are making sure the tires are getting max traction. @@primofx2sport in my research
      I believe the larger LTR started in mid-year of 2019, as mine was done by Roush in September of 2019. I noticed my IATs were always the same as outside ambient temperature. Then, I found out that I have the "turn On fan option" and a bright brass Allen head screw on the right lower passenger side of heat exchanger.

      That is sort of hard to compare. If you are talking 20 GT500 I really love the trans in that car and of course all the sweet options and built engine it has. Price is about half on this so that makes a difference if you are not looking for the GT500 sweetness.

      The mustang gt is around 400 pounds lighter than the 2020 gt500 so I’m sure it’s way faster. Plus you get the better 18-20 headlights than those old 15-17 ones on the new gt500, don’t know why they did that.
