Once defending > attacking, and Novak being the greatest defensive player we've ever seen, Roger was pretty much cooked against him. Djokovic always seems to have a bit more mental strength then Federer that goes a long way. If you look at some pivotal points in Federer's career you would think Federer would have anywhere between 23-26 grand slams but he cracked under pressure
1-1, 15=40 Djokovic serving and Roger can't put a backhand return into the court. Ultimately, the shortcomings on the backhand are the main reason why he could not compete with Novak more successfully.
No matter how good you can do it, I can do it better , said commentor, but the truth was, no matter how many times you can break me, I can break you more
When Federer plays his forehand and rhythm as prime federer in some rounds, he can take advantage of the court, but these rounds are not long-lasting. Generally speaking, Federer still cannot escape the swamp of being constrained by his backhand. If it were Federer in 2005, who was more flexible and powerful, he could win. 05federer can rely on better movement and power to cut flatter and deeper slices, get rid of long-term backhand suppression, and find more offensive opportunities.
Feels like Federer definitely had his chances to win here…. Overall just not a good enough serving performance in the third set. He was sloppy during the first quarter of 2011.
Federer should have come to the net more often, he waited too much for Djokovic to make a mistake. You don’t do that against Novak, cause he won’t miss😂
This is the only reason I didn’t teach my kids single handed backhand. My son played a single handed BH, I asked him to use the same strategy, he won 6-0. There are more disadvantages being a single handed than benefits.

Wiedziałam że wygra Pan Djokovic❤❤❤❤❤❤🎉
They were tied 11 games each in the 3rd set.
Federer- the old Novak Customer 😎😀
Djokovic always seems to have a bit more mental strength then Federer that goes a long way. If you look at some pivotal points in Federer's career you would think Federer would have anywhere between 23-26 grand slams but he cracked under pressure
Fédérer le plus grand un tennis super élégant et classe
This Djokovic will eat the 37 yrs old one alive.
3:32 and 13:50 Again 15-40... yet another couple of missed opportunities. There's something reeeally strange about it 😮
40:15 and me finally made the second set😊
Feels like Federer definitely had his chances to win here…. Overall just not a good enough serving performance in the third set. He was sloppy during the first quarter of 2011.
Djokovic was hyper - aggressive. Federer was not as good as Nole at defense, tend to slice too often.
djokovic celebrates like an animal... despite all his records, the man has zero class
Federer should have come to the net more often, he waited too much for Djokovic to make a mistake. You don’t do that against Novak, cause he won’t miss😂
Federer fan talking a match being underrated when Federer lost it, especially vs Djokovic, haha! They have given up
Federer movement seemed pretty slow by his own standards . Given their exciting rivalry this match isnt seriously an underrated one
This is the only reason I didn’t teach my kids single handed backhand. My son played a single handed BH, I asked him to use the same strategy, he won 6-0. There are more disadvantages being a single handed than benefits.
In modern tennis, which is more physical than technical, 2HBH is the best choice, sadly.
to be fair, the older man did seem to tire first
