      @Jaime-eg4eb Місяць тому +1

      @@jasonwilliams4659 I get your point but I think ppl at the top don't necessarily improve just by having higher discipline. It's more complicated than that. Practicing more could lead to higher rates of injuries, which in his case was already high, apparently. And each person's mental process is different. Not everyone benefits from crazy training plans. Despite the obvious general correlation between effort and results.
      I used to eat fast food before exams and when I was stressed. Someone could look at that and justifiably conclude that my performance was worst because of what I was eating. But it helped me cope and it was part of the process that ultimately allowed me to succeed, to whatever extent I did succeed. Anyways that's my take.

    Nick has the mentality of a 3yo but he makes a point here at 8:30: he's famous to be very quick to serve, at the point opponents are often not even ready. Nadal would indeed still be scratching his ass when the clock would end.

    I’ve always wondered how Nick made it to the highest levels of tennis while never actually dealing with his bad attitude/weak mentality, you would of thought those traits would have derailed his career way before he became a top professional. Makes me think if he didn’t have this attitude problem he would be unstoppable.

      Consider the mental game you need to play against someone who's that negative toward the game and everyone involved. He humiliates you by hitting it past you before you can react or standing flat footed and hitting exceptional touch shots. I think it takes a world class talent to avoid getting caught up in that much childishness and play quality tennis until he defeats himself. Too bad all that talent was gifted to such a weak spirited and insufferable turd.
