For directional muzzle brakes/comps, I'd recommend you guys create a blast shield for the muzzle brakes. It'll act as a brake and linear comp.
I put a SI Oppressor on my AR-15 SI Tripple Crown muzzle brake, it eliminated the percussion from the sides and directs the sound forward. Helps with recoil as well. Added about 6oz of steel.
