I'm a blender user and I think c4d has a clean and beautiful UI as well. However I find the shader nodes UI very ugly 😂 The rest of the UI looks amazing
This was like a turbocharged best practices Chad video (Pillows, NAB Workflow for Lazy People, etc.) . This did a great job smashing it all together with a few new tips that I had no idea. Thanks Chad!
In case people don't know about Layers in C4D, you can also CTRL+DRAG a layer over a parent null and everything child will get assigned that layer. Chad, would be PRETTY cool if you do a video going over your custom tools. Like I see over on the material manager you have something for UV and another one, so just in general would be great to know what you got cooking there and possibly spark ideas for us! Thanks!
Thanks Chad! Always delivering solid presentations. Learned about the project asset manager & inspector. Now I hope to get a couple of my Macs and PC's in the studio to jointly "team render." Learned about the super bright preview adjustment for each light in working panel- THANK YOU! Also love your dual null light controlling approach. Keep sharing the pearls!
immediately got stuck - where do I find node editor? Then once I find it, why does your create button create materials instead of nodes which is what mine is doing once I position my node editor where yours seems to be
quick question. why is redshift going so much slower for me than for you? I've got a super basic scene with one sphere, dome light, area light, and it takes forever to clean up. I used all your settings. My video card is an RTX 3070, and I only have one. But how much worse is that than your 2 RTX 3090's? It seem like my render view is 100 times slower than yours.
I have the same problem but with a RTX 3050, it takes really top long to render a simple scene 😭 Tell me if you have a solution or a change in your renders !
waiting IPR refresh for that long everytime you tweak a setting after enabling tesselation for displacement, or having to turn off hardware ray tracing or freeze tesselation button thing, not having a proper texture displacement feature, is one of the reasons keeping me from switching from octane to redshift
Quick question? Why my GPU is not showing on the RedShift settings? I have a AMD RX 570 4gb, but its not showing at all... I only have CPU in the settings. Can please someone help me with this? I have a rig farm with over 50 gpus of the same model, so I thought through team render to use those GPUs for rendering
Is there a way to save your layers (for Cams, Lights etc) as default so they always open automatically in any new C4D project, or do you have to make new ones each time?
I have my plus library in a tab too for easy access. Although mine takes about 3-5 secs to load every time I go to it. Yours seemed super fast. Am I doing something wrong or is it just my hardware?
What processore are you running that allows you to run (2) 3090's? Can you explain or share your specs? I have (2) 3090 myself, but I was told I could only run two if I had a Threadripper...
I have an RS camera created through the Redshift menu, but my Attribute tabs are different than shown. I have the same tags as the non-RS camera plus an RS Camera tab. Anyone know what I did wrong? Thanks!
@@Greyscalegorilla Yep, it makes sense now. I found that if I make a new C4D file snd add a camera, it's a Redshift camera like in this video, but if I'm in a file created in the last version and add a new RS camera, it gives me a non-RS camera with an RS Camera tag on it. So maybe the recent changes only show up in newly created files. Anyway, all's good.

Always loved the Cinema 4d UI more than any other 3d software. So intuative and pleasant on the eye.
Thanks for watching and commenting.

@@TallyHD I mean they just copied Blender's UI on the R 25 release so to me it looks the same.
Redshift, my favourite renderer.

@@cgpov Good to hear! I'm a subscriber, but these quick tips GSG has been doing have been helpful and fun!
@@cgpov amazinggg.... could u also provide us your interface setup? I think u could just save it and send it as a lib file?
I've watched a lot of videos, but I couldn't find a better understanding than this one for beginners.
Thanks for that, Rocky!
best video, i was having so much trouble but this help me a lot
Being reminded of the clay-mode for checking displacements and lighting was super helpful! Lots of a clever little tips in there, thank you!
Glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for being a subscriber!
Fantastic, thank you! Would love to see arnold and possibly octane versions too
Yep. That's definitely on our list of videos. Stay tuned.
Really fun and helpful video with lots of valuable tips! Thank you so much for putting this together.
You’re welcome!
Thanks, Chad. Love a dive into lots of different things like this. Covering a ot of bases in a short time. Bravo. Keep em coming. 👍
I’m glad you got something out of it!
Hello. 32:13 You can just freeze tesselation inside IPR (look for snowflake icons)
Such a gem-packed vide! Hope to see more videos like this in the future
Glad u liked it 🤜🤛

how do you make a folder like with lights, geo etc in your objects tab?
Is there an easy button for Ambient Occlusion for the whole scene? like with Standard renderer?
Try using a sky light with pure white material. This will give you a similar effect to ambient occlusion. Hope that helps.
@@Greyscalegorilla Thanks, I'll try it out.

I have a tip in the works that breaks this down 👍
Window / Customization / Save as Default Scene (Bottom of List)
Hey guys you're so awesome, but I have an issue inside of the GSG Hub, I have no 3D models inside of the section 3D model.
Be sure to download the latest version of the hub from our site. Then you will have models.
I singed up for the training but I cannot find it. Every button will redirect me to the main page.. How can I find it?
Thanks for the heads up. We are working on a fix now. Stay tuned.

It can take a bit the first time it open after starting cinema, but after that, it should start quickly

does proxy supports motion blur ?

What? If you have two 3090 you will receive performance from two of them on almost any cpu
