I have been a motion designer for a long time. C4D has changed so much, I don't use it everyday. So it's like I have to relearn everything. Your a great teacher with a wonderful approach to your lessons. Thanks so much for taking the time to listen. God Bless you!
I think the realistic thing that should be happening on the lens is : stronger and brighter areas are having more aberration. With these bokeh maps, every area of the render seems to be same.
I was about to say the same. Abberation swap sides based on which side of the lens the highlight happens to be. Wonder if there's a proper way to simulate this in Redshift without building an actual lens in C4D...
Thanks Nick a lot, we would love to see the new RS camera features as lots of parameters have been changed since the 3.5.1 something has changed regarding the new RS Camera..cheers
I haven't watch the entire video yet, but do you go through the C4D Redshift render settings at some point? Also, what kind of system are you running as my machine comes to a crawl when I try any of this. thanks
Great video Nick!! I'm coming from cpu render and I have 1 question about redshift, what would be equivalent to Light Mix in corona / Vray in redshift? Is there a option to change light intensity or color after the final render is done? Not talking about post in some other apps or aovs with separate layers to edit in post but something to edit right on the PV. Hope I was clear with the question!! Thx in advance
Why I clicked Bokeh and nothing happened? I really can't understand the differences between the old c4d cam with the rs cam tag on it and this RS standard cam.

Love this - it's sometimes not even the tut main focus but some small process that you do on the journey. Great stuff.
Glad you enjoyed it!

@@its.bonart Hi! I just Render out the Z-Pass and do the Bokeh inside of After Effects. For finer control.
Nick, I think if you hold down “3” and right click-slide in the viewport you can roll the camera to get the dynamic angle look

Thanks for watching. Glad it helped!

512 on a MacStudio Ultra takes a 25min render down to 6 mins - wish there was an option to increase to 1Gb for M1 chips.
24:58 you can hold 3 + mouse right button

What about Octane ?
The steps are similar for octane. Here is a tutorial for it. ua-cam.com/video/lRGgd3O0WJo/v-deo.html
Octane is dead?
Nope. Look for octane tutorials soon.
