Thankyou for finally demystifying Redshift with such a clear and practical tutorial - as someone who used C4D 20 years ago and has only just got back into it, I was utterly confused by the way RS is integrated into the program. Now I feel like I'm starting to know what I'm doing. It's ridiculous that the actual company that makes the software can't make such useful instructional videos and we have to rely on the generosity of people such as yourself. Thanks again.
This is an excellent breakdown of the fundamentals, thanks so much. I needed to switch to Redshift from Octane quickly mid-project, and this has saved me hours of trial and error and fiddling. Subscribed!
Just want to extend a huge thanks for your effort and your generosity. Maybe it’s because I’ve been looking at textures for a while now and it’s all coming together but I do think you’ve explained it better than anyone else…and all in one video. 👌
This is a great tutorials! It was so clear and structured to introduce all the features and what they do. As a beginner much appreciation for sharing it! Thank you very much!
Really and sincerely thank you for your detailed tutorial. It really helps me find a way begin using Cinema 4d. And may I get the texture file you mention in the video?
Switch to RS Renderer in the Render settings Material -> Tools -> Convert and replace all Materials Be sure to turn off RS Render View and save your project before converting. RS is a bitch.
i mean i'm new in cinema 4d and want to understand what is a material how to make surface reflected how to make metal and wood or plastics what behind if you can make it or tell me where to search please@@BTB3D
I just went from version 20 to this and wow just wow. I can't believe they changed it this much......Red shift is awful it takes forever to render and the lighting went from simple to use to a mess.
While the speed can depend on your system, Redshift is the most used renderer for Cinema 4d and you won't find too many people who have a lot of bad things to say about it. Each renderer has its flaws though.

You are one of the best teachers for C4D online! thank you!
Thanks!
I'm only 10 minutes into this and have gained so much knowledge with lighting vs my years of going down the YT rabbit hole. Thank you Kind sir!
Thanks!

Thank you for the kind words! Glad the video helped!

You are very welcome!
THANK YOU this has demystified redshift for me
Amazing! Thank you so much!! 🎉
Color space on textures like roughness, bump and displacement (always grayscale or BW images) is best set to raw. I never use auto.
Good call!
amazing video! thank you much! can’t wait for more ❤
Fantastic tutorial - really love the flow and style - learned a ton
Thanks!
Thank you! PLease make a video for the other nodes and explain them. Also I'd appretiate if you explain Vertex map material redshift.
thanks sir

YOU ARE A GOD AMOUNG MEN.... !
Thank you!
please could you make tutorials about cinema 4d materials and how to understand it to move to redshift
Not sure what you mean. Do you mean convert materials from standard/physical renderer to Redshift materials?
Switch to RS Renderer in the Render settings
Material -> Tools -> Convert and replace all Materials
Be sure to turn off RS Render View and save your project before converting. RS is a bitch.

thanks sir for this beautiful tutorial , and which version of arnold and Corona should be used for cinema 4D
Unfortunately I only use Redshift
such a nice tutorial. can u model and texture a fighter jet with redshirt?🤔🤔🤔 like f35 su57 ...
That is a tall task. In reality I would probably just purchase a model that complicated.
The redshift render view doesnt display my lights even though i can see them working in the viewport, what am i doing wrong ?
constant" node editor to scale or rotation? i didn't find can u help me please
RS_version= 3.5.24
Great thanks What's the redshift version used in this video??
I don't recall the exact version, but it should be pretty recent.
The redshift renderview doesnt show me whats in my perspective screen, its just completely grey. Any idea what im doing wrong?
Hmm that is a tough one. First thing I would try is to make sure in the RS renderview you are looking through the correct camera.
i installed cinema 4d 2023.2.2 but redshift isn't detecting my graphic card nvidia 1650 super.. how can i fix it plz help?
I think that card might not meet the minimum requirements for the current version of Redshift.
Bro just migrate to Blender or UE5...less stress there and they are both free

what video card do you have? 4090?
I have a 3090, 2080ti, and 1080ti
Can I person learn this on their own and make a career out of it?
where luminance in c4d 2024 ?
thanks thanks thanks thanks thanks thanks thanks thanks thanks thanks
Most welcome 😊
