(I wanted to post it here idk where else i posted this lmaoooo )No idea what to tell you, when we we're kids like 10-13, me sister, and many girls on the street would go outside and steal our parent makeups lol. They would do a big gathering on the street, and the girls would start to make up each other, like very very red lip stick, and even puting birth mark like Marlyn xD, lmao, foundation was too expensive, so there was like 1 girl bring it ,and not even use it lots. The single different thing now is that those products are even more accesible for kids, and i don't think is that nice to be used by kids on a daily basist, but let's say if is for a joke, you can "close" eyes a bit of it, but still honestly, the world is so gone by now that i can't even tell what is right and wrong.
Honestly I just hate nowadays 😭 all these kids are getting shown nothing but adults that talk about skims, surgery, bbls, skincare and shit like no stop it 😭 it’s insane what kids’ll do to be more mature and I hate it I’m 17 turning 18 this year and I do look quite mature for my age my bsf even admitted I look 21💀 but I have a young looking face- and that’s fine but these kids shouldn’t be doing this especially not at 12 also that girl that I saw in this vid taking was it pills for her hair? God knows what else she could be taking and it could have ANYTHING in it 😔 we really need to stop this no matter how many vids get put up talking about this situation with these children that parents OF COURSE see they’ll still keep doing it!!!🤨 like do we have to ban these kids from these socials? Because it’s soo problematic honestly we need people under 18 to be kicked from TikTok and for TikTok to monitor there app more so they can take down videos such as “thirst traps” etc and get rid of the minors bc there’s just 1 thing once TikTok is gone for these minors THEY'LL STOP ✋ TikTok and the adults are the literal problem here✋😔 #BanTikTok
The parents of these girls are at a huge fault here. No matter how much money they earn, they should not expose their kids to adult platforms. Edit: not adult but social media platforms
@rainbowcake3254 I think what they meant is , there are already so many kids doing the trend already , school girls will expose it to your kid soon too. If you were to limit their social media or watch over their social media. Kids with other parents would still exist and be mean about it. When a trend occurs and if you have bad friends you will likely have kids be mean to you if you don't know it, I still recommend to watch over their media and not allow them to watch stuff like that but kids with bad parents are going to exist.
@user-ml2oq8et9q I went to school with mostly neglected rich girls who fell to trends, never had the urge to participate, cause my parents actually raised me. It's not about the exposure to the fact of the trends happening, it's about the fact that these parents are buying skincare with the money that could be spent on activities for their child's intelectual development and self exploration. Which I assume they don't because a child given that wouldn't be obsessed with skincare to begin with
Not just on the internet either. Don’t forget some middle and highschools allow girls to actually dress like this, meanwhile they dress code some guy for wearing a hat inside!
@@OmniNeon900 i've never heard of any middleschool or highschool allowing girls to dress like this, i've only heard the exact opposite. at my old school girls get dress-coded for showing your knees, while the boys could show their knees as much as they wanted.
@@3ylit4aa It’s the total opposite at my school, then again schools are different from state to state. My high school is a bit more liberal but overall centered. There are a few “cross dressers” but it’s not too conspicuous. It’s become a practical culture at my school for guys to rant about getting pulled aside in the hall for having their hood or hat on, meanwhile they just saw a girl with a bed hair scarf on. My redneckfriend got his cowboy hat taken away and at the same time I saw a girl with a bed scarf on. :/ A lot of girls at my school wear ripped jeans and sometimes the holes are not in the most appropriate places but the black guys get pulled aside for wearing dew rags. Earlier in the year girls were wearing long shirts and short shorts to look half naked and they’ve stopped that since it’s gotten cold but then it gets hot again and the cycle starts all over. The only thing that people in general get dress coded for is wearing pajamas on non-spirit days or dragging their blankets with them across the halls. The ratio might be equal with guys getting pulled over for hats and mostly girls for blankets/pajamas but there is never really a sensible reason like the clothing causing a distraction or having offensive words on it. (This is just my school btw)
@@3ylit4aaNow it's more like the schools stopped trying. It was 30 degrees outside and girls were in school with crop tops. I've seen guys with tank tops too.
Hi! I’m 11. Born in 2013, and honestly I agree. I have friends from school who use a TON of makeup to school, and buy a bunch of stuff at Sephora. I have never used abnormal amounts of skincare (just soap), and never applied makeup. This is so messed up..
Hey, I was born in 2003. I'm now a 21 year old woman.... May I just say, I am so proud of you, as well as some of the other smart young girls here who side with what you said. I just want to say, do NOT allow other girls to make you feel bad for not following in the same actions. Do NOT feel bad for choosing different, for choosing the right thing even if a lot of other people aren't doing so. These girls need to act their age, they are not adults, they do not understand that what they are doing is wrong. When you're young, you try so hard to be grown up, yet when you get older, you'll be wishing you could get younger. Adulting is so complex and intense, and I wasn't prepared for it... These girls do not fully understand how serious this is. They are exposing themselves to predators, and they are being delusional. All the glam and materialistic things are so unbelievably unimportant, especially at your guys age. Please PLEASE enjoy your childhood, savior all the joy, or just whatever freedom and time and opportunities you have. You ladies will be grown one day, and you will be thankful for the care you put into your young years. Nothing has to be perfect at all, but just do your best to focus on being a good person, focus on what makes you feel happy and healthy, focus on having good hobbies like music writing, dancing, or anything like that. Be silly and goofy and have fun, make memories. Don't waste time on the gossip, the lies, the pointless trends just to fit in, impressing people, etc.... All the people who do the bad things, I have watched struggle very badly in life and it all catches up to them, especially as adults. You girls keep doing what you're doing, you know your worth, you know you don't need to waste time with all this nonsense. 😉❤️
I know this is gonna sound so dumb. But I love using makeup and skincare. (Im eleven this sounds terrible) But its good enough that I do understand its an issue and Im glad I didn't start using makeup till middle school. Also most of my makeup and stuff are received at chirstmas and other holidays and some random crap my mom doesn't want. Rarely am I ever getting anything that's not a gift or something kinda trash. I am grateful for it though and tbh I hate the big brands. Smaller drugstore brands are kind of better.
@@SmoochThePook It's okay to love makeup/skincare kiddo, but what's not okay is to get so into it, that you lose your childhood. So do what you love, but put on you skin just how much you need and not a whole adult routine as that's harmful for your and even my skin, since I'm just 16
I know, right? So much of body positivity is about exposing yourself, how attractive you are to others and all that. It should be about loving yourself despite all that. And then little girls so thirst traps online as the only form of confidence and beauty so then they do it too so that they can feel better about themselves. It. Is. A. Trap.
And all this just as it's getting easier for those men to come in contact with these girls. Don't have to sit in the park hoping a parent will leave long enough for you to be gross anymore, there are stories of kids transporting themselves out to these malicious actors these days. There is no way our current path is a good or just one.
Ugh 😖🤢 it makes me feel like the middle ages way of dating, 14 to a 30 year old is being whispered, with the way their being incouraged to sexually dance.
I’m 16. I don’t feel like a young adult or even a teenager. Still feel like a kid. These 8,9.10,11,12,3,4,5,6,7 year olds acting like they’re in their 20s drives me insane. I KNOW I’m not ready for all of that so how can these girls already be ready NOT EVEN 15 SECONDS OUT OF THE WOMB
Regret losing a huge chunk of childhood will sink in to them... I guarantee it. 😂 And then the parents will point fingers and say, well, you wanted it, you let it happen. "You" could be anyone in that argument.
I'm turning 24 this year and right now I'm watching Bluey and coloring an anime themed coloring book, feeling like I've never even grew up since I was 14... not sure if it's normal and adults (which, gosh, I am considered one) really are pretending that their lives are under their control like all the time or I truly haven't yet learned how to be mature :/
@@hipsta26please i turned 22 recently.. the best thing i´ve heard about adulthood the last few months was: "you´re 22.. you´re only a 1 year old adult, your whole life adhead of you, still learning so much, still having to learn so much."... i would never hold the same standards for a 3 year old than i would for a 13 or 23 year old, you shouldn´t either! consuming things marketed towards or traditionally used by children does also not mean that you´re not mature. rather view it as taking care of your inner child, which almost every adult carries with them, but chooses to ignore. i love childrens shows and colouring books and picking up little critters, inspecting them and showing them to my mom. i´m not immature for any of that, though some people might view it that way. you´re good. you´re never alone. don´t worry.
Boys do not have to deal with this. This has always been a misogynistic issue, and with the rampant misogny these days, it only makes sense that this iteration of the same problem is so much worse.
i have been saying this shit for a long time and no one was on my side except for my close friends. everyone would say "why are you sexualizing younger girls" and its like.... im not. glad to see people waking up to this bs
As a 13 year old in middle school, it’s not easy. I look much younger than my peers and I just seem behind trends when I stand next to them. I feel very ugly and I often forgot that my acne and growing body is normal. The “awkward teen stage” just isn’t a thing anymore and I feel like the only girl going through it. Bring back being an awkward teenage girl.
this is how i felt when i was 13, and honestly still now as a 16 year old lmao. it feels like everyone has the beauty stuff figured out and whenever my much prettier friends say they're ugly or point out something that shouldn't even be an insecurity (like the most minor details, of what POSITION your eye is or something) i fear as though they might even view me like that too. but just keep your head up high, you don't have to conform to society's beauty standards if you don't want to. acne is completely normal
Babe, it's ok, remember that what you're going through it's far more normal than whatever surrounds you rn. You have to take your time growing, both your body and your mind. This will pass and you won't feel like that anymore but don't pressure yourself to do stuff before it's physiological for you to do those. Remember to cherish this, you don't have to skip stages Much love
Hey man, Youre not alone! I feel you so hard. Everybody around me is a walking model, while Im stuck in the reality of actual teenhood, and others just pass on by it easily. Ive always been said to have looked younger because i did not dress the way others did, people actually still have mistaken me for a 6th grader.
For me is most horrific how they can't even talk properly and hold a pen properly but they still putting makeup for grown ups and act like they have every right to do so 😭
I feel like it wouldn't be a problem if it was just kids "playing grown-up" trying to mimic their moms, if it was just them and maybe some friends safe at home. I got my grubby little hands on a rouge container and dolled myself up until it looked like I had a bad fever when I was 9ish. That's just the normal clown phase of pre-teen existence. (note: this was in the late 90s and the rouge experiment culminated in mom putting her makeup on a higher shelf and it would take another two years until I got my hands on some mascara) What scares me is seeing these kids making videos about it on sites where they shouldn't even have accounts yet. You should be at least 13 to have an account on a site where you can interact freely with other users. IMO the age limit should be at least a bit older on the major social media sites, because of the non-existent moderation on those sites. An avatar dress-up site with a forum is relatively safe, those usually have staff or volunteers that can step in if someone's behaving inappropriately. The social media giants don't give a single fuck about the well-beings of their users and will never have enough moderators to keep up with the massive amounts of users. You could organize a genocide on facebook and no one on facebook's staff would even notice as long as you don't post in English, and the-site-formerly-known-as-twitter *would* notice the genocide when the hashtag starts trending but would probably still let it happen as long as it generates engagement.
@@helenanilsson5666 i agree, kids shouldn't be allowed in makeup stores nor own anti-aging or just generally any kind of skincare. Like i used to play with foundation on my mom because and dolls because it was funny.
People nowadays act like being mature is based on how you look or dress, when in reality, maturity is based entirely on experience, worldview, and perspective.
my opinion on this situation as a 10 yr old with acne it’s the media, little children are getting exposed to all these teenagers and influencers doing their makeup and skincare. when you were younger you watched all those videos of youtubers having a bunch of toys, for example, ryan’s toy reviews or cookieswirlc. they just want to fit in and have what the influencers have. some perfume like sol de janiero or lippies such as summer fridays or laniege is perfectly fine as long as they aren’t buying so much of it. any drunk elephant or things with retinol, salicylic acid, or benzoyl peroxide could be damaging. i hate the stereotype that all young girls in sephora are “sephora kids” and all do those horrible disgusting things. i honestly like going into sephora, maybe for some salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide or pimple patches (as i’ve said i have moderate acne), but going into one of those shops lowkey gives me a panic attack. i wear mascara sometimes and have a lash curler also, occasionally some times i put some powder on my acne just to cover it up. im never mean to anyone in stores or not in general at all, i give respect to cashiers/store workers because my sister used to work at a shop and she always had the worst and most annoying stories about costumer service.
thank you for giving me, an internet stranger, an opportunity to get to know your thoughts and feelings! you are very well spoken and seem to be wise and mature. if there’s one 10 yo person in the world like you, it already gives me a bit of hope for the future of humanity.

@@Certified_E_Kitten it’s getting annoying that you’re an almost every comment. You don’t need to copy and paste your comment to show up and every comment thread. We get it and your comment is less impactful seeing that you want to be in every comment thread. It’s annoying.
Girl, I'm 22 and I don't look like an "adult", but I am one. Those people are just insane. Take care of yourself and don't let them drag you in their sh*t
Exactly! I’m 14 as well and I don’t understand why me and a whole bunch of girls out there are getting bullied just because we don’t dress or do makeup the way people my age shouldn’t. I don’t really mind if they do makeup and stuff but the reason why they do it kinda sad. Most people are doing it to impress others and to fit in with the younger adults but it’s getting out of hand.
I’m 19 now . But when I was ten i was still trying to balance the light switch. It’s kinda sad to see 10-13 yr olds like this nowadays. There’s a word for this. It’s called Echochambers. Echo chambers increase stress level and laziness due to being chronically online , it can make u feel isolated from the world .
I’m 14, and I absolutely despise these trends (at least for young teens and pre-teens). However, it’s insanely difficult to avoid them. A couple days ago I was at a friend’s house in my usual sweat pants and hoodie, with zero makeup and only a simple gold necklace my grandma gifted me. These ‘friends’ of mine are 13-14, and they full on said to me, “y’know, you would be pretty if you became a basic white girl like us, it’s cool and stuff. No guys want a girl who hides her body.” And I went silent. The fact they even care about that- We’re not even in high school yet, like, come on- and that they can’t even accept me without me wearing a bunch of makeup and having a twenty-step beauty routine is insane. It’s so hard to live like this, but I don’t want to throw away my childhood yet, because I know that in a few years I’d wish I didn’t. Luckily I’ve found a couple close friends who think the same, but there are far too many who oppose my thinking, saying I’m ‘immature’ for not swearing every three words and ‘cheap’ for refusing to buy thousand dollar makeup things. But, I’m living, and I won’t let them break me. Part of this is probably because I have older parents who didn’t hand me a phone until I actually needed it- less than a year ago- and the fact I still can’t access many social media sites. Not gonna lie, I wish I was older than I am. I’m glad to be a Gen Z, but I hate being so young and trying to grow up with all the girls around me doing this stuff.
Let me tell you what you are; You're in a phase of self-discovery. And my dear, you're progressing so well than your peers. I want you to listen to the inner you, not to the voices around you. You'll thank yourself for that. And if anyone gave me the choice to either "blend in" or "stand out", then I'll choose to stand out and be different. The criticisms you might be getting now is absolutely normal. It shows you are special. Very special. Physical appearance is the least of value to humans. What's inside is actually what matters ..
Hey, don't listen to them sweetie. I'm 20, and I was the hoodie-sweat pants-tomboy girl when i was in secondary and high school. I had my 1st phone at 16, I had plenty of time to develop my hobbies, go outside and all. People were making fun of me because I was "weird", always reading, talking about movies and games and drawing when they were doing flames on snapshat and dancing on musically. I was seen as an alien no living in her era, but fast forward to now, those girls who were making fun of me got their heart broken 10 times bc they started dating at 13, lost contact with their friends when I have loyal friends and my first boyfriend who loves me for who I am. Keep being who you are, be authenthic, be kind and empathethic, be curious about the world and eager to learn about everything, you'll make a difference
As 26 the fact that a kid said to expose herself freak me out. It's okay sweetie you're doing great. You only got your childhood once, and it's a short period. Play to your heart content. Dont let your friend and internet ruin you with weird idea. When I was kid I dont have any boyfrient till in my college year, and my first boyfriend become my husband now. We dont even doing sex before married. Dont expose your self, dont sell yourself cheap. You're worth more than that ❤
Hey, maybe you could try to look for hobby groups that are NOT associated with social media. I'm sure that you'll find a Tolkien club or a gaming shop or a crafting group or anything else you might be interested in. Of course every space has it's own weirdoes, but I still want to think that most people are just happy to share their hobbies with others. Of course this won't "solve" the problem of not fitting in (coming from someone who's an expert at being an outsider), but it could give you a supportive community on top of your good friends to lift your mood up a bit when you start to question if maybe you're the crazy one.
I'm 24 and want to tell you this isn't just an age thing. You NEVER have to start swearing, wearing makeup or change yourself to try to make yourself appealing to guys. What you do should be what YOU want at whatever age it you feel comfortable doing it. If you only start dating at 30, if you never have a relationship, if you don't wear any makeup ever, if you wear "too much", it's up to YOU and what works for YOU. It's the 21st century, you don't have to go along with your peer's expectations, you can be yourself!
as someone who was still in secondary during covid - covid was like 1-2 yrs ago everyone has gotten over it and it is no longer an excuse for like anything
It’s less of an “excuse,” more like a reason. I know for a fact that COVID will affect me for the rest of my life. I’m not *blaming* quarantine for how I act, but I know that the two years of missing real social interaction from school and stuff has subconsciously changed how I see people. Seeing nothing but filtered faces and emotionless-seeming comments in place of real people pretty early in my life HAS to have made an impact, and I can see it in my friends.
this was also common like 12 years ago when I was 12, they just started to get to it sooner, as they are exposed to it sooner thanks to social media... and who let them go there this early? if we are bringing covid to the chat, we better just say, just cause they were stuck at home together, doesn't mean parents were not supposed to parent...
It's really weird for me to see many 12 year old girls worrying so much about skincare, vaping and doing those kind of stuff while my friends and I used to play with my little ponies and just dance! I think they want to "grow up faster" and act like they were mature adults but in the end they're just pretending to be something that they're not yet. The influence of social media and the lack of control of their parents is really sad :(
@@Engene4l1feeagreed. My mom didn’t let me wear makeup until I was 11, but nothing more than powder, mascara, lipstick, yk, stuff that was somewhat appropriate for my age. Around 12, she let me wear whatever I wanted, but I still didn’t wear it on a daily basis.
@@Engene4l1feeyeah they only need maybe a light and clean moisturiser and maybe eye cream but gotta also remember that when they become 13 they can start doing a bit more skin care, it’s actually advices to start skin care for not aging early because the earlier u use wrinkle prevention creams the more it will prevent the wrinkles from coming later, like some people do get wrinkles when they’re already 20😬
Exactly. Personally, I never had an interest in makeup as a kid, but if a kid over the age of 10-12 wants to experiment with makeup AT HOME, go for it. Just don't wear it out lmao.
One thing is experimenting a little, and another completely different one is getting a whole different face every day with makeup they don't even need. Like, why the heck do they need anti-aging skin care??!!
Yes, absolutely. I'm a teen, and the most I've ever worn is eyeshadow and lipstick. But I think that people (especially young people) should use makeup as a form of self-expression or to feel good, not this. And harassing and disrespecting workers is never ok, no matter how old you are.
I’m 15 too and honestly at 11 years old I was still wearing sequin changing clothes and the only “makeup” I wore was chapstick unless it was a special occasion. I feel bad that kids these days feel pressure to act like they’re 20 years old. I’m glad I got to experience what childhood should be.
when i was 12, i remember this day were i went to the library with my mom. the happiness i felt as four books added to my beloved collection that day, is unmatched to what this kids will ever feel with the childhood (is it even a CHILDhood anymore?) they’re living. i just can’t imagine that when they’re older, the childhood memories they’ll have will be doing the exact same thing they’re doing in that moment. buying makeup, skincare, overpriced cups, wearing small clothes… and the list goes on. it’s depressing, how they will never be able to experience such valuable and wholesome memories that will someday, when they are older, make them smile as they remember. people need to stop making/influencing kids to grow and look older. i honestly don’t understand the problem of living a long, healthy childhood.
Parents are the main problem here. But also, it's terrifying how much these kids want to grow up fast. SLOW DOWN. You'll have ALL the time to do make up when you'll be older. You'll have ALL the time to be "grown up". Kids enjoy your childhood once you have it, 'cause once it fades away forever, you'll want it back.
Exactly! My school life is almost about to end and I just wanna stop time and live this a little more longer. I don't understand the obsession with looking older than you actually are. I am a gen z too born in 2006, at 10 I used to cry to not to go to school and my biggest worry was not being allowed to sit with my friend in class :) I'll be 18 this year and I still don't have any makeup products except a nivea lip balm and yes I still hate school.
It gets better - every school has a different culture and not everyone fits in. But the good news is that outside of high school there are so many more kinds of people and you will find your niche. There will still be difficult people but you learn to adapt and handle them. The world is very wide outside of high school!
Yes me too, i was born in 2005 and by the way i even not from English speaking country And there also a lot of children using makeup in kindergarten and in elementary school.. it’s crazy for me
Same bro. Gonna end my schooling next year thank god. Its funny how i hate school and wanna age to get out, but at the same time dont wanna age cuz the future is scary too. 😂 appearance is the least of my worries
05er here and I feel this. I do own a few make-up products but they are for big occasions only (Weddings etc.) and I think I've had most of these products for over a year now and should actually get rid of them, since I heard make-up can expire too..
As a 13 year old, sometimes I feel like im falling behind with growing up, especially when im at school, but also I’m pretty content with being a kid since I’m scared of growing up and I have been for years.
@@EntropyAndSingularity it could be her peers, family or stuff like that. kids see whats around them and somehow they just make an assumption based off it.
Chill out , there is no time limit to growing up , it's not a race, focus on making friends and your studies , i have changed multiple schools yet i still know some people from when i was your age in another school, just find people you vibe with ya know?
@@EntropyAndSingularityto reply with some past experience I'd say.. it's the thought of growing up,.. leaving your parents to study ..or for jobs.. sometimes you just wanna be like a kid and live with your parents forever
As a young gen z my class is full of gen alpha girls and yes i can confirm, they're getting boyfriends, talking about sex, vaping. And im just like "damn. I wanna go home bro." And i understand how being chronically online can suck, hell i struggled with hypersexuality disorder because of it, but i feel like parents should start caring about their children. Its not that hard to prevent things like this. Just take the phone dude
Taking the phone won't instantly take away the ignorance. In fact, it will just cause the child to be even more naive, and bring sneakiness inside the equation. Parents need to actually practice parenting and teach/educate their kids on dangers of early sex, social media, drugs, etc. Taking away the phone only takes away small access to certain media, without the phone they still perform the acts they do.
I was wondering if this was just kids with influencer parents, but I guess it is a more general issue. I've never been more thankful for being homeschooled 😂. Best of luck 🫶
dont take their phone perms away, instead, blocks social apps from their phone, and if they want to watch youtube, dont install youtube kids. theres still creepy things in that app
This makes me so sad. Childhood is one of the best times in my life. I mean, we didn’t even have a lot of money or anything. My siblings and I would just go outside, or play with the toys that we owned. Gone is the time of not only childhood, but imagination.
Yes! Kids aren’t given unstructured play anymore and it’s really damaging to the development of their imaginations. These are gonna be the next generation of artists and creators and they’ve hardly even played with toys.
Makeup in general clogs up your pores and chokes your skin, more product = faster aging. All you really need is face wash, moisturizer, and sunscreen. People who have really bad acne that won't improve with good hygiene and a good diet can see a dermatologist for specialized products. That's it.
@@rottencupcakess Exactly! I avoid makeup aside from sunscreen (which is more of a necessity, especially if you're on the paler side and get freckles, MUCH higher risk of skin cancer--even darker skin can get it, but the incidence rates are fortunately much lower) and lipbam. I just use a face wash (also necessary to, y'know, get the sunscreen off completely.) Rarely, some rosehip oil or rose otto oil to gently moisturize.
@@pinokosthewife exactly i also don't put much make up because i know this thing and also we are beauty natural. just mascara and lipstick some time eyeliner but in my skin i don't put foundation i have acne problem and make up up is even worse for the skin if u have that problem so.. not all the products are good for the skin ^-^
I mean, skincare's good for you. obvs not just the kind with 20 products that takes half an hour, but I'm trying to get into skincare to deal with acne and basically all the videos I've been binging for teen skincare and skincare in general just recommend a facial cleanser, some sort of moisturizer and sunscreen. this stuff is just crazy, and mostly marketing tactics. but yeah as a twelve-year-old? legit just remember to put on sunscreen when it's bright out and you're set, plus no-one even thinks of that as really a skincare thing, just a general health thing. what's a fish necklace tho that sounds cool.
I made it because my older sister told me that fish bring luck (i was 4) so i made a fish necklace and she told me that if i took it off i would be dragged into the sea by fish while i was sleeping and that i would be drowned. I didn't take it off for a week, and as the autistic person that i am i now always wear it and it's a habit lol.
My parents sold cosmetics/dermatological products when I was a child... and at 10 I thought an antiaging cream would make me dissapear (because it promised to erase 10 years of aging haha).
!!!!!! Attention Gen Z!!!!!! We can end this with our kids. It starts with us to teach our daughters that they are beautiful and have inherent value by simply existing. Let’s be better parents.
As a young millennial who probably won’t have kids, I really hope Gen Z learns from the mistakes of millennial parents. Millennials tried to “do better” than Gen X/boomers, and as we can see the pendulum has swung in the opposite direction. 😩
@@Certified_E_KittenI don’t like Tik Tok either but banning it isn’t gonnna do anything. All the content on there will just seep into other medias…the way it already is.
i'm planning to do this :) i work now as a preschool teacher which is my part in undoing the harmful effects of social pressure. i am so excited to see how my own children lead by example, after years of uplifting others and working to instill value and self worth. they may not have phones at 13 but they will have confidence, integrity, empathy, intellect, and faith. 🤍🕊
dont share your age. youre part of the problem. youre a targeted group for pedophiles and groomers to traumatize just because they wanna jerk their dicks. delete this shit and quit sharing your age.
As a black girl, I’ve been sexualized way too early because I’ve had the misfortune of hitting puberty as early as ten and getting a huge growth spurt and major body changes such as boobs growing and hips widening within my tween years. I was easily given the age of 16/18 when I was just 12 and easily 18/20 when I was just 14. At first, I was just insecure of looking so different from my girl friends, boys my age were not interested in me because I was taller than all of them and I just constantly wished to be short and cute. But the worst part came when older men made me hyperaware of how they saw my new body, and these men included random strangers, older boys but also teachers (!!!) and other authority figures of my life at that time. People praised me for “being” mature when they actually meant “looking mature” and I felt the pressure to act the age I looked because otherwise I would be called childish (I remember once a random lady scolding me to get off a playground because it “was not for my age” when I was still within the age limit required for it). Somehow it even managed to skew my parents’ perspective, I was striving so hard to be up to the expectation of being older that even they deemed my normal tween behavior as not appropriate. Just this year I’ve hit my 21th birthday and it doesn’t feel special at all because I’ve felt 21 for years now. I would give a lot to experience a normal full childhood again because I can feel how the trauma affects my relationships and body image now as a young adult. Please cherish being a kid and being perceived as kid and as a society we have to try a lot harder to protect our young girls as much as possible from this predatory society and give them plenty of time to become well-balanced adults.
Oh girl, you went through real sh*t , we know you could not enjoy your childhood but I'm sure the adult life is worth living for even if there's lots of limits, well I'm sure your already used to that. Nonetheless i wish you happiness,,,
I have large bust I always wanted to put on jackets and stuff too. I'm so sorry u had to go through that.... I really wish we all could do something and protect these younger girls especially with the rising pedophilia.
I feel you all the way, I’m 11, about to be 12, and because of my height (5’6) people constantly think I’m between the ages of 14 and 17, MY OWN COUSIN (that to be fair, I’ve never met before) THOUGHT I WAS 16. and grown men constantly look at me even though I have basically no curve other than my small(ish) waist, I’m scared to go out in a crop top without an undershirt because of those creeps, heck! I’m scared to show too much of my legs! But at least I’m not sexualizing myself like these 12 year olds today, I feel stuck in the middle even though I’m not like them at all, I know I’m not a Sephora 10 year old with all the makeup ever in my hands, but I’m not a 12 year old sexualizing myself in dances, and I don’t want to be but I’m going into the age where people now group all the kids nowadays in that age as the same, I’ll never be that, and I know it, but because I’m between the two ages, I’m getting grouped into kids that are “maturing” way too young. I live in Tennessee so I go to bonnaroo (the biggest festival after Woodstock) and last year my brother and I were playing a game where we guess people’s age and then ask them, well it was my turn and I went over to this woman to check if my guess was right, I was close but I then asked her to guess how old I was, you know what she guessed? 19. That woman guessed I was 19, I wasn’t even dressed like a 19 year old! But I don’t see how someone’s height can determine how old they supposedly are, and like you said, they ALWAYS say “well it’s because you’re so mature!” …..I have the maturity of a 7 year old in the 1990s. But I feel you😢
Ikk me too!! It's just so hard when everyone around you is growing up like these young girls in the video as sometimes i guess it disassociates yourself from others. I am always grateful for how i am raised, but some of the time im extremely upset to be out of the joke of people i am close to and feel irrelevant when i cant relate to whag they see on social media platforms i dont use, and dont plan on using.
This is so sad. I didn't even think about any of this at 10 years old. I was too busy playing video games, being outside & just being a kid. It's really unfortunate that they are skipping this period of life.. the carefree time..
I can still remember going to trick n treat with my cousin, cause Halloween isn't a big thing in Asia, and this still sticks with me 10 yrs or so later.
I spend most of a weekends visiting my grandparents throughout my late childhood to teen years and I as well as them loved it, I was often curious about what my life would be like when I'm an adult but never felt obsessed about already acting like one just so that less people looked down upon me or made me feel weird for basically having my own unique personality and interests that I still had all the time in the world to work on developing over time while enjoying the present moment. People shouldn't be desperately rushing from childhood to adulthood but then dread the idea of getting older and older untill they might reach elderhood one day, in this day and age it's driving too many people nuts it's not even funny.
I have a 11 year old younger sister , I’m so glad that she never wears makeup or use skincare , just water and face cream. She only plays Roblox with her friends and she doesn’t even ask for a phone , she plays outside and honestly reminds me of myself when I was younger.
I’m 11 too and I look older and act older bc I grew up seeing things I shouldn’t and getting abused so I didn’t really get my childhood, that ended at 6. But now if I don’t fit the standard I’m “pathetic.” And “childish.” All because I don’t want to wear short crop tops and shove a full face of makeup on my face, like I have had a iPad since I was 5 and that has made so many things worse, sure it was fun but I know it was just a excuse for my parents not to take care of me when they are at work, anything to keep me busy, now I have disability anxiety, I’m scared to eat I’m scared to change my clothes I scared to HUG someone, I hope my parents see the mistakes they have made, literally last night I was sobbing to my mom. This world sucks, there’s is light in the day but there is still darkness no matter how hard you try to escape it.
You are all taking the wrong thing away from this. The kids are not at fault, the parents are. And there is nothing wrong with some skincare (ex., eczema cream), it is the excessiveness that is damaging, and children have no idea that this is harmful-- they're just copying what others are doing, people that are role models to them when they shouldn't be.
Hello! I know you are are sad, and I know you had a really bad time, and I really understand how you feel, because, even thoug I was in a different position, I felt the same. I was afraid to hug people, afraid to look people in the eyes, and hopeless for many years. I didnt have a group to support me, so I was alone, but... I promisse there is hope. I know everything seems dark and you feel like you are never getting out of that hole, but I promise you will. There is happines and light in our life, and even if our past was sad, we can reach it. For many years I thought it was impossible for me, and that was the thing that keep taking me down. But there is light, even if you feel forgoten by your parents, even if you suffered, you can be happy again, as I did. I promisse you, dont loose your hope! Im 23 now, and I have bad and good days, like most people, but I can say I am happy, I learned to love life. Maybe this is out of topic, but I am catholic, I found meaning in God and that healed me. Anyway, I am sure you can do this! It hurts, but dont loose your hope! I support you with all my heart
So i'm currently 13 and society is just... confusing. Like i have a simple skincare routine which is just cleanser, toner, moisteriser then sunscreen which i think is ok for my age since i looked up on many websites. But i always feel like that things are never enough by how younger students wear makeup at school and making me want to wear it as well, and how other kids at my school are wearing more revealing chlothes that make me want to wear as well. And they probalbly learnt it from the internet or something- creating some chain- reaction. I love this video, it helps me feel normal- thanks! ❤
I can’t believe I’m at the age to say “when I was younger we did…” and it’s actually different than today. Like I was the justice kid, swinging on wingers with bright clothes from justice 😭
The main reason I suspect is not because you’re so old, but because there has been so much recent change. Least that’s the case for me. It’s unrecognisable from only a few years ago.
@@angelelida4680 Not the OP, but I feel like somehow everything was so long ago and like yesterday at the same time... In my case I believe it's because I haven't changed much at all, but everyone and everything around me did, so it's like my mind is stuck in 2014-2018, but everyone else has moved on very fast. Sometimes I feel the same I did in 2017-2018 despite being 6-7 years ago, and most of my friends are already on other stages of life and I'm stuck there.
I agree 100% , when I was 10 I used skincare, not drunk elephant. I used clean & clear, ONLY because I had really big breakouts. Seeing girls with perfect skin having to use expensive skin care and makeup is crazy.
Yeah, seeing girls do elaborate makeup/skincare routines at 10 years old is so insane to me. At 10, I'm pretty sure I was still washing my face with bar soap, I didn't even have a facewash or something.
this 6th grade pick me ik has drunk elephant and always makes it aware to me and my friends, even though a) she has clear skin and b) literally no one cares.
im a teenager and i only use a designated face wash whenever i break out around that time of the month, otherwise i use warm water and body wash. why would kids 6 years younger than me be using more skin care than my mother (who is sorta obsessed with looking younger lol)?
Truly it is on the parents. My younger sister did want makeup, but my parents told her she was WAY too young to wear actual makeup. Instead we bought a flip phone with a mirror and lip glosses from Claire's , and she loves it.
I used to love Claire's when I was 10! Those flip phones makeup toys and Disney Princess sets were something I obsessed over. Did anyone else use to have Lelli Kelly shoes? One year they started making a make up tablet as a free gift, and I LOVED that thing, it must have been 2013-2015. I still have it now.

I teach middle school, and I really appreciated when you said “internally they’re 12.” It is developmentally normal for tweens to believe they know it all, and for them to start playing at being adults. That’s why it’s so important that we work to protect them rather than looking down on them for their natural tendencies. Although I will say certain tendencies such as being rude or snippy have to be addressed, so they can grow into decent adults.
My sister said that so far in her school a few people have already been starting to wearing makeup and revealing clothes, and at one point a fire alarm went off because someone was smoking inside of a bathroom. Shes in middle school.
Bro I'm in middle school and they be vapin so hard They also wear a lot of makeup, nails, heels They also did drugs this year On insta they're all filtered and '' sexy'' for whoever the fuck they' re being sexy And I've been commented for not wearing makeup and other stuff that are as superficial Disgusting
@overnightcreationsbyme8504. Ik it seems annoying rn and some of them might just be bad people, but trust me its probably just adolescence causing a school to look like a food chain. Oh yeah, and middle school, that’s like….6th grade to 8th grade or smth like that? So 11-14 years old? Well i would say that’s pretty normal behaviour for kids that age who want to look “cool” and “tough”. It’s not new to this generation
i'm 23, when i was in middle school 2011-2014 kids totally wore makeup and smoked in bathrooms and had sex and all the crap you get up to even worse in high school. someone below said kids didn't start "saying bad words" til 9th grade.... dawg what planet do YOU live on
as someone who's turning 14 in november, when I was 9, I was still watching vine compilations and laughing. I didn't have any kind of social media except UA-cam (and barely). I didn't get a phone until several months after I turned 13 and I was given an iPhone 8 and it's still my current phone at the moment. this is honestly sad. watching these video essays about Gen alpha just makes me feel more self aware of girls around and my age.
i was a Sephora kid. it’s definitely a result of emotional neglect and shoving an ipad in a two year olds face. the Sephora kids eventually become adults far, far too young.
not my girl trying to sound deep lmao 😭😭😭 anyways i don’t get how you WERE a sephora girl, r u older now is that why? cuz sephora girls are usually talking abt young teens or tweens during this gen, not before, so i don’t think ur an adult yet so technically u still r i would think?
@@CharlotteAland oh i see…i hope ur mental health gets better soon and i’m so sorry if i sounded rude btw!!! 😭😭😭 (btw i just wanted to let you know that when you are very young it’s extremely easy to get involved with the wrong people, as in make friends with ppl u shouldn’t rlly be hanging out with. but, remember that eventually, it will all sort out and the ppl who care abt u will be the only ones that will truly be by your side. if you r very upset abt someone bullying u perhaps, then remember, it’s ALWAYS okay to tell a teacher or an adult u trust. i know the school system’s fked up but trust me, it’s the best thing u can do and probably the safest. and remember that whatever other ppl say or think abt u shouldn’t matter, cuz it’s ur life. why should they be the ones to tell u if you’re this or that?? so, don’t let the bullying get to your head. it will only bother you as much as you let it bother you. if you are very stressed out abt let’s say, studies, then remember, there are so many study techniques you can try! there’s one for everyone, and yes, you will eventually find your own rhythm. also, studying with friends makes the studying process much less boring. also, a fun way to interpret info, especially in any history or science related courses, is to make it a story. for example, when i was younger, (i remember this somehow 😭), i had learned abt the structure of a basic human cell, my mom made it into a kingdom where the mitochondria were the people who generated electricity, and the nucleus was the king. it made it stick in my head for so much longer and also made it more fun! so don’t just try to memorize notes, make it into smth enjoyable!! ADDING ANOTHER THING IN THE EDIT: i also forgot to mention insecurities!!!! listen, i know how it feels to be insecure and i cannot unfortunately say that i am fully non-insecure. but, this might sound super cliche, but, NO ONES PERFECT. and i mean it! yes even the prettiest ppl in the world see smth that they wish they could change about themselves. and it’s natural for humans to want stuff that they don’t possess. it’s like ppl with curly hair want straight hair and vice versa. so, someone who you might think is extremely good looking and you wished you looked like them, might wish that they had a feature that you are insecure of! and i bet that you are not in the slightest bit ugly. and if you feel like you are too fat, just know that healthy bodies have so many different forms. they can be really skinny, or chubby. as long as you aren’t extremely overweight or on My 600 lbs life, i think you’re good, haha! and if you think you’re extremely skinny, same thing! HEALTHY BODIES COME IN MANY DIFFERENT FORMS! did you know that different bone structure can make your body look different than others, as in, you can have a small, medium, or large bone structure! that’s why some ppl look more curvier than others, since their hip bone extends outwards more. it’s not something anyone can control but that’s OKAY.
@@missstranger7697 fr. you could not pay me to go back to that time of my life but i wish i let myself enjoy it and wasn’t pressured to grow up so fast. i’m an only child so no one besides my mom would warn me, and obviously teenagers don’t listen to their parents.
I can't imagine how many guys hassle you. People from my generation looked like kids until their 20's so men knew when they were illegal. And they weren't showing out so they didn't look sexy to attract guys anyway.
@@oodo2908 I was the same way. I was avoiding sexualizing myself at school, until I started getting used to my body, at the age of mainly 19-21. And even then, I had a hard time, because I wasn't raised in a much encouraging family. I was either getting bullied by my mother, or my older sister. Sexualizing yourself can also lead you in isolation, because people don't want to deal with you.
I’m literally 15 and never had makeup on my face Thanks mom and dad. +many ppl didn’t get the intention of my comment, *i* don’t like makeup and i don’t wear it, but if you like it do whatever you want idc, but i just hate when ppl skip a phase of their lives just to try a trend, you’re a child live it like that, you’re a teen live it like that etc, don’t skip your childhood to do smth you’re gonna do in the future
Same, I'm 16 and I just wore make-up when I had Quinceañeras last year. NGL I would love to know how, but I think I would look like a clown 😢 Wearing soft makeup is not bad for 15/16yo tho
I’m 13 and I have been to sephora only once and just because I heard of it A LOT, i was scared to touch a thing and felt soo out of place like oml, and hearing that 10 YEAR OLDS are doing THAT is sure something. And like my classmates have all those products and skin care routines which like is funny cause I don’t any of it (probably because I live under a rock) and all I have is lotion. And like I understand playing around with makeup like I do that sometimes when bored, but like all time? I just count it weird. I swear to god I’m losing hope in humanity AGAIN
As someone who's always been scared of growing up and wants to enjoy my childhood (I'm 17) as long as I can, this really hurts. Childhood is so pure, yet fleeting. Kids shouldn't be forced to grow up so fast, they have more than enough time to be mature. They're going to look back and be sad about what they missed out on I image there's going to be a lot of sad "inner child(ren)" when gen alpha grows up.
I feel the same way! (I'm 17 too) I look at these kids and they're acting older than me which is just insane, it's defo not their fault but society's and the industry's. It makes me so sad that they can't have the childhood that I had of just being kids, having fun (on playgrounds and stuff like that, not in Sephora lol) and not caring about how they are presenting themselves.
Its not just that its them DESTROYING things that dont belong to them. Were not saying not to wear makeup, but were saying not to wear it at such a young age. So yes we HAVE to care@@tree2-qq7ed
im 10 years old and IM SO HAPPY that my mom gave me the best childhood I could ask for she didn't even let me touch makeup although I pull all nighters and USED to do skincare to fit in. I stop doing to bc I starting breaking out at the age of 8 YEARS OLD! for people who are my peers pls learn from me and dont put crap on your face to"fit in" trust me I have zits all over my face now and pls have a healthy childhood!
I’m 13 rn and literally don’t find any of the Sephora stuff entertaining. My friends started calling me a pick me one day because I said I don’t like doing a skincare routine or makeup, I told them I still wear makeup like mascara. The only reason I even have a phone is because of my parents divorce, I’m super grateful for my phone but I still get off of it too go swim at practice or do some skating. Sometimes I even walk to my local playground just to swing
When I was a teen I didn't have many friends and didn't have a place with who to have out like swimming skating etc. I stayed on my phone a lot. Now I sometimes do but some stuff is too expensive and I don't knew where to go plus I have much less free time. So actually the fact that you do that is just simply amazing! It's sports and it's fun! Meanwhile makeup and all this stuff is useless. You already look nice anyways. And you shouldn't feel insecure about such silly things either.
I started doing basic skincare at 11, which is a good thing! Emphasis on basic. Water to rinse your face or maybe a gentle cleanser, basic face cream like Cetaphil, and then DEFINITELY spf50. Thirteen year olds do NOT need Drunk Elephant retinol and all these scrubs and collagen products and what have you. As for makeup, I am almost 19 and I have never tried to do it for myself until a few months ago when I followed a tutorial for light, natural makeup out of curiosity. Trust me, you aren't missing out on much. And fitting in isn't worth the time and money for all that stuff on your face that you don't need.
No girl, you’re not a pick me… Don’t you listen to what they’re saying to you 🤡🤡 Use your time wisely since you still young, rn I was 17 years old who’s too early to have adult mind when I was at your age and I consume something that I shouldn’t know on my ages too… So yea 😓
This sad i am 13 and i have anxiety just because at my school girls bully me because i don't know what trends are going on or because i don't use makeup i just wanna draw and play I just want this generation that i am apart of to see the light because I'm really scared
Keep on being true to yourself! I know it’s hard, I was always the weird kid in school but now as a 52 yo woman with kids in their 20’s, I have great skin (because I didn’t smother it in makeup), I draw, paint, play piano, knit, sew clothes, crochet, dye my own yarn, build stuff…..and I’m happy. Those bullies will be the ones left behind when you soar past them! Be kind to yourself and take care.
I'm 13 and I have anxiety too :')- no social media or makeup. I grew distant with one of my childhood friends bc she just changed.. like a lot- she would always point out my insecurities, make fun of me in front of her 'friends' and sometimes just ignore me completely- but I'm glad that I've found better friends that genuinely care about me. Just don't change yourself or listen to those girls! 💕
same I dont even have an identity anymore I just wanna hang out and talk about normal things not abt bad stuff, sex or trends and theres an inside of me that stills wants to play with dolls.
As a 17 yo Gen Z, I'm so glad that I experience both the park(the games we play with other kids that we instantly be friends), DVDs, boardgames, good movie series, and toysrus and so on to the online games, social media and trendy stuff. I rlly hope Gen Z will learn from the mistakes that the Millennials make and raise a better child.
I'm 21 and I have faith in my generation to restore the balance!! I'm so happy to have experienced these as well. I also didn't have internet growing up- still don't- and sometimes I'm thankful for that. I only got my first phone with data when I was 12 because I had volleyball practice after school, so I needed to have communication with my parents. However, I was only allowed 1 gig of data. I don't understand why more parents cannot make these limitations. It's like they don't even want to be parents :(
@@lilyblake5409 Yeah, I was twelve when I got my first phone because I was going to summer camps and I needed communication. It was my moms old iPhone 6 with 2 gigs of data, and I'm honestly glad they did that
Tbf its your generations fault a little bit. Like saying the way kids talk nowadays and say shit like skibidi toilet and stuff was all stuff gen z made. Ofc little kids are going to see what you guys say or do and get influenced by it 🤷🏻♀
@@King_of_sirens there’s nothing completely wrong with the internet in general though. as long as you consume healthy amounts of it. what’s wrong is them seeing stupid content that others are making and being influenced by it. which it’s not like the people making it are realizing that kids are seeing it but I’m just saying.
I was preyed upon from 11y/o for looking older than I was without the need for makeup or revealing clothes and it ruined my life. Still coping with the SA trauma at 25. To top it off, I'm autistic. I just know this shit is a child predators wet dream and it churns my stomach. End time vibes are strong.
I thought the same damn thing! I see so many underage kids in booty shorts and crop tops alone in malls, public spaces etc. I wanted to dress like that when I was young but my mom would whoop my a$$!!! Where are there parents??? Disgusting
I love to hear this take on the subject from younger creators cause it is a huge problem and I worry so many women can’t see the Forrest through the trees on it. They think it’s not a problem if little girls copy behavior they’ll likely have as teens and adults because it will be the end result not seeing the damage that over sexualizing and use of products that are unnecessary does. We’ve had years to see how this has impacted so many women in Hollywood, Modeling, and beauty industries but parents seem to just think it’s fine to spite that. My heart breaks for all those little girls who never get to have a true childhood now.
at ten i was begging my mum to take me to toys r us, and at 15 i was still smiling at twilight sparkle finding friends. what are these kids on? enjoy your barbie doll, summer sun, disney and DC comic phase while it lasts, honey. retinol can't anti-age this treasure back to you.
As an 11 year old, I'm more focused on studying and playing with my friends than putting on anti aging stuff. Oh, I forgot to say, I'm literally making friendship bracelets-
as a minor under 15, yes i do wear makeup but all of them are either hand me downs or actually just the off brand kids make up one😭😭 (i have strict parents too and now im glad they are the way they are.)
I’m thirteen and the only social media I have is UA-cam. I complain about it sometimes, but I am SOOOO thankful my parents don’t allow it in my house. I personally think that some of the parenting nowadays is horrible and social media has affected society in a lot of bad ways (some good). Honestly, I think I’ve been peer pressured by other teens to grow up quicker and look more like them so I can ‘fit in’. I’m also thankful I’m surrounded by amazing people, my role model is my grandpa. (Remember, who we surround ourselves with really matter) This is just about me lol. God bless.
I am from 2009 and damn, I understand you too much.. Yet all I can say is - well done! Not many people at ANY AGE can be as self aware as You. Thats why it is so hard to stay in this position (because of, as you said 'fitting in') but i really believe in You! Great Job, keep it up!
You are so right and it really makes me happy seeing that there are people who just tell me that there is no need to fit in. You are really admirable. Please stay a child for as long as you can be, i will try to do so too. I am 15 and this video really opened my eyes. Thank you for your thoughtful comment ^^
Im one of the last surviving children. As a home schooler with amazing parents. I have full access tone internet and all these things that I (probably shouldnt know) but they have RAISED me to know better. And it has certainly helped that were not pressured by people around me. While I do like some things. Like shorter skirts. But at 13 I know I'm not ready for that yet, hell! I just got my first period last week! That was the biggest maturity spree I have in awhile. And that's fine.
fr, jst gonna turn 12 this saturday and like i was raised in the internet on their golden era, no supervison really, i do like make up and wear it SOMETIMES but dont depend on it unlike how most of the sephora kids are gonna turn out like, either way just because i wear light makeup doesnt mean I still keep enjoying my childhood. My friend group and I keep acting like kids and even if most of us have a single make up product, it doesnt mean we wanna grow fast because we still act like if we were 5 tbh. Plus it saddens me because most of the girls in my grade arent sephora kids but instead get into stuff who would normally do an adult (having s3x, vaping, drugs, etc)
I’m an 11 year old homeschooler who has been dealing with my period for a year and got my iPad (which is what I’m on, won’t have an iPhone till 16) at 6 by my grandma, and my mom didn’t want me to have a device yet. I feel like isolation since 2nd grade from school girls and isolation from TikTok for 10 years, has shaped me into a well balanced young pre-teen of a girl. yet I still have my issues, I’m practically addicted to my iPad, I argue with my mom daily, and I hate doing school. But at least I’m not Sephora crazy, makeup crazy, and sexually stamping myself, Heck, I didn’t even know Sephora existed until January! As a slight tomboy I like the idea of skirts but I only have one that I basically don’t use, and I’m scared to go out in public in a crop top without an undershirt on too because of creeps, I’m aware people like that are out there and I want to cover myself up as much as possible but I want to look feminine every once in a while. My brother catches grown men looking at me in stores all the time and it breaks down my faith in humanity a little bit each time he tells me. Sorry, I got off track, but the point is, I feel you girl!
I was home schooled my whole life too! I’m 17 and I still don’t wear make up everyday and I certainly don’t dress sexy. I’m so glad I was raised the way I was, I know I’m lucky to have such great parents. Keep it up, you’re doing great
At 10, I got a Pikachu plushie because I used to watch Pokémon a lot. My parents wanted me to "get my first Pokémon" at that age, because canonically, that's when you do get your starter Pokémon in the anime. This is absolutely ridiculous and sad
At 10 I used to eat tons of chocolate and buy tons of erasers (my obsession since childhood) and make doll dresses myself. Not a Pokémon fan, but we were similar in that way
The only thing that I think about when seeing these types of videos is how these same kids will never understand what it's like having a childhood, while Gen Z tries to cling to their childhood, I feel like Gen Alpha will feel empty because of their lack of childhood
Yes! I'm 24 and still watch cartoons and anime (literally watching Strawberry Shortcake now), buy dolls, and play dress up they're missing all the best parts about being a kid and teen 😕
As a minor myself, even if i go to Sophora I get looked at with disgust. Im honestly a goodie two shoes. All i wanted was a cute glittery eyeshadow for a cosplay i was working on (hatsune miku) but then i left with an ungodly amount of guilt.
Just let them be a kid and make sure they learn the important life lessons, don't let the internet influence them and make sure to check up on their mental health often and make them feel safe to come to you when they have issues. Do all those and you're pretty much a great parent!! Good luck dude :D
Keep them away from the internet no matter what. No matter how hard you try they will want to see everything that’s out there because they know they can with a single click. There’s nothing more curious than a child and if you think you’ve got your computer locked down, they’re a step ahead. Soo many kids ended up traumatized from being first introduced to the internet with no parental witnesses
NO TIKTOK thats a given. Be invested in your child, be a constant safe person for them to go to, catch them if they fall, dont scare them just love and guide them. You'll be fine, children are very intuitive so don't worry so much and enjoy the journey.
As a 13-year-old girl who is about to go into high school next year, looking back at my 6th-grade year, I realize now how the internet affected us at 11 and 13. This goes for both the boys and the girls. At some point, I even felt insecure about my appearance and how I looked because I thought I looked childish and stupid.
Social media is a big problem. I was still playing with Barbies and dolls at that age. Bring me back to the 80s-90s when everything seemed to be “normal”, and don’t let me start on this either…
If it makes you feel any better I was playing with Barbie’s until the age of ten. Gen z is also incredible in what they’re doing (please don’t be discouraged by everything you see in the video)
The worst part is the way this will also create a generational gap between gen z and gen alpha. They are not to blame, it's clearly their parents fault for underestimating and neglecting parenthood, but the way these kids are being made fun of and ridiculed by everyone will ultimately push them further into this endless cycle of sexualization and consumption. It's really tragic to think about all the mental health problems this will lead too for many of these poor girls. And again, I am absolutely disgusted by the parents lack of self awareness and "don't care" attitude...
At least gen Z still had a bright childhood. I was a teenager during their childhood era and we watched the same cartoons like danny phantom, fop, kids next door, and all those good things
(Sorry, kind of long comment. I just got a lot to say. If you read all of this, I really appreciate it!) It sickens me as a Gen Z young adult to see. You're right. But honestly? Some of these comments do, as well. Whole fifteen year olds already snarkingly talking about "back in my day." While I understand that yes, many of gen alpha's parents are severely neglecting parenthood, that's the issue. The *parents.* None of the kids deserve to be mocked and ridiculed. I have four little cousins, and from what I know of, one of them threw away her dolls and really just wants all this makeup and such. She's about thirteen. But when I heard of this, I didn't ridicule her for it. I didn't make her feel inferior because at my age, I was still playing with dolls and was widely possessive over them. Instead, I ask her for makeup tips, and let her ramble to me about her newfound passion of makeup. She actually looks up to how her mom does makeup, and tries to mimick it and wants to one day surprass her mom in makeup skills. I'll never understand how she got into skin care so early, though. Even her mom doesn't encourage that part. I could say it was social media's influence. But I support her, anyways. And do my best to lift her self-esteem. Because she already gets a lot of flack for her age. And as a result of the major bullying she's faced for not fitting in with the latest trends from classmates, or actually acting her age from adults, she has a *very* low self-esteem. "The girls kept calling me a gorilla for not shaving my legs yet/mom said I need to act my age and check my attitude," and hearing the many grown adults talk about how back in their days, they didn't have iphones and drank from water hoses. No matter what generation you're in, the younger ones will always be mocked and looked down upon no matter what they do. It's a cycle that's gone on for centuries, that gen alpha *will* do to the generation after them. Not to say that generations aren't free of criticism. They all have their major flaws. Including gen alpha. But, like... that's also kind of the point. If I see another "I hate nowadays! I wish we could go back in time," I might snap. *TL;DR:* If I ever hear that I made my little gen alpha cousins feel inferior, that would shatter me. As you said, there's enough of a divide between Gen Z, Millennials, and their generation already. The last thing they need is their big cousin falling for that trap, too. Go ahead, my little gen alpha cousins. Teach me that weird TikTok dance you mastered.
I loved to read your comment, and I can relate a lot to what you said! I also have a younger cousin who is very fascinated by make-up and fashion. Sadly her mom isn't very nice about it, which is just horribly sad. Especially since it's due to her lack of monitoring on her daughters consumption of social media. And yeah, it's exactly as you said it, making them feel bad about it and themselves won't solve a damn thing. I'm always really torn between anger, frustration and sadness when thinking about this. AND YES. This trend of generations making fun and talking down on the younger generations drives me absolutely NUTS. I'm also a young adult of gen z, and how much shit did we get from millennials? And honestly most of all the previous generations just because we are the first generation who started to have technology at a young age. So it's really sad to see our generation do the same to the new one. WHEN IT'S THE PARENTS FAULT (as we've established lots of times by now hah, but they deserve that we hammer it in). The comment probably doesn't make a lot of sense and has a lot of repetition, sorry about that! @@DelilahDarling17
One of the worst parts is how dense people can be when it comes to this topic. Tell them that kids shouldn’t be obsessed with anti aging and they tell you it’s not your money so why should you care.. You tell them kids shouldn’t be making thirst traps and they call you the weirdo for thinking it’s sexual (even though it’s obviously suggestive). You tell them to let kids be kids and they just call you a creep for caring.
As a 22 year old, I feel like this sadly happens due to the influence they see on social media and the pressure their parents put on them. Since I was 12 or 13 you do not know how much pressure I always got about acting mature, etc. so sadly they are going to the same
8 year olds shouldnt be using make up. but 12 year olds should be able to use skincare and light make up, like some blush lip gloss, i feel like most people forget 12-13 is the age were puberty and pimples and acne start up. sure they shouldnt walk out with a giant face of makeup thats ready for met gala 2024. just simple and light is ok.
I mean, yeah it's natural to want to look pretty for a girl, so tinted lip balms and that sort of stuff make sense for a 12 year old. Also, Acne control skincare comes under the 'medication' category, so it's not really related to the Sephora kids.
I was 8 when I started skincare because my acne was BAD. But I didn’t use like anti aging or anything, just stuff my dermatologist recommended. I’m 13 next month 👍
Values from my age group (in my 30’s) would be to add a little lip colour from about 16, and light makeup from around 18. If you stick to that (as opposed to more) I think your adult self will thank you for it. Keep this video in your mind if the peer pressure starts to vamp up, but equally, don’t feel triggered into boycotting makeup entirely - when age appropriate and used tastefully, it can be a lovely thing. Regardless, the most important thing is to stay true to your inner core self.
I've only used soap and moisturizer bcuz of acne and it baffles me bcuz I know somebody that comes to school almost everyday with a face full of makeup. We're in 8th grade 😭
As an 11 year old, I really don’t understand why these girls are choosing to waste there childhood like this. I still play on the swings, I still play tag with my friends at recess, I still read books and i’m a very crafty person. I just never got the concept of ‘growing up faster’, you should be happy that god blessed you with the current age your at because when your older you might not be able to do all of that stuff anymore. I choose to cherish that fact that i’m still young and have a will to do fun crap with my friends no matter how dumb it sounds, because no one’s telling me no. I still think there is some hope for these girls and people who have my same mindset. Enjoy your life, don’t waste it, because someday you’ll be asking for your girlhood back. And I can get that some girls just don’t have some specific interests anymore which is totally okay, Like, I don’t enjoy playing on the slides that much ir playing with barbie dolls, and that is fine, because thats not how YOU wanna spend your childhood which is completely valid. But when you go waste it trying to act like a teenager and adult, wearing crop tops, miniskirts that are too revealing, inappropriate clothing, then there’s clearly something wrong with the parents that made there kid think dressing like that is okay. My cousin who is younger than me has an anti-aging serum and an anti-wrinkle serum and I was just shocked-like I don’t even understand what she needs it for, the only skincare I use is ; Face wash, Glowing serum (that my mom bought me) And moisturizer. Thats it, and I never wear slight makeup unless i’m going to an event (like a wedding, family gathering ) stuff like that. Please stop wasting your childhood, thank you for listening to my rant :)

my ass was playing with barbies up until i was 12 😭 i had fun tho bc i didn’t feel pressured to grow quick like these lil kids
The single different thing now is that those products are even more accesible for kids, and i don't think is that nice to be used by kids on a daily basist, but let's say if is for a joke, you can "close" eyes a bit of it, but still honestly, the world is so gone by now that i can't even tell what is right and wrong.
the first time *I* went to sephora was when i was 14 to get makeup for a school play 😭
I’m mainly worried about online predators and grooming. Like no 13 year old should be posting “thirst traps”. And where tf are the parents!
And the 13 year olds that think it's cool that older guys are hitting on them

The parents of these girls are at a huge fault here. No matter how much money they earn, they should not expose their kids to adult platforms.
Edit: not adult but social media platforms
Fr
@user-ml2oq8et9q thats true also
@rainbowcake3254 I think what they meant is , there are already so many kids doing the trend already , school girls will expose it to your kid soon too.
Which I assume they don't because a child given that wouldn't be obsessed with skincare to begin with
@@noorimmy242 you mom fights with you when you put on a lipstick? Sorry I can't understand your comment
The main problem is children are being sexualized on the Internet and nobody seems to think it’s wrong
A lot of girls at my school wear ripped jeans and sometimes the holes are not in the most appropriate places but the black guys get pulled aside for wearing dew rags.
@@OmniNeon900FR!!! Some girl gets to wear a shirt a pr0situte would wear while I get dress coded for wearing a dress??

Hi!

Bring back being an awkward teenage girl.
you arent alone, im feeling the exact same. this is exactly how i feel when i go into EVERY SOCIAL FUNCTION. im the, so called, “ugly freak”
this is actually so real
this is how i felt when i was 13, and honestly still now as a 16 year old lmao. it feels like everyone has the beauty stuff figured out and whenever my much prettier friends say they're ugly or point out something that shouldn't even be an insecurity (like the most minor details, of what POSITION your eye is or something) i fear as though they might even view me like that too. but just keep your head up high, you don't have to conform to society's beauty standards if you don't want to. acne is completely normal
Babe, it's ok, remember that what you're going through it's far more normal than whatever surrounds you rn. You have to take your time growing, both your body and your mind. This will pass and you won't feel like that anymore but don't pressure yourself to do stuff before it's physiological for you to do those. Remember to cherish this, you don't have to skip stages
Much love
Hey man, Youre not alone! I feel you so hard. Everybody around me is a walking model, while Im stuck in the reality of actual teenhood, and others just pass on by it easily. Ive always been said to have looked younger because i did not dress the way others did, people actually still have mistaken me for a 6th grader.
For me is most horrific how they can't even talk properly and hold a pen properly but they still putting makeup for grown ups and act like they have every right to do so 😭
And most of the time they are using the products wrong or in damaging ways so its even more of a waste for the parents
(note: this was in the late 90s and the rouge experiment culminated in mom putting her makeup on a higher shelf and it would take another two years until I got my hands on some mascara)
What scares me is seeing these kids making videos about it on sites where they shouldn't even have accounts yet.
Like i used to play with foundation on my mom because and dolls because it was funny.

my opinion on this situation as a 10 yr old with acne
it’s the media, little children are getting exposed to all these teenagers and influencers doing their makeup and skincare. when you were younger you watched all those videos of youtubers having a bunch of toys, for example, ryan’s toy reviews or cookieswirlc. they just want to fit in and have what the influencers have. some perfume like sol de janiero or lippies such as summer fridays or laniege is perfectly fine as long as they aren’t buying so much of it. any drunk elephant or things with retinol, salicylic acid, or benzoyl peroxide could be damaging. i hate the stereotype that all young girls in sephora are “sephora kids” and all do those horrible disgusting things. i honestly like going into sephora, maybe for some salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide or pimple patches (as i’ve said i have moderate acne), but going into one of those shops lowkey gives me a panic attack. i wear mascara sometimes and have a lash curler also, occasionally some times i put some powder on my acne just to cover it up. im never mean to anyone in stores or not in general at all, i give respect to cashiers/store workers because my sister used to work at a shop and she always had the worst and most annoying stories about costumer service.
Gosh I agree with this SMM

@@Guineapigzz Same here! Like at this point why can’t people accept that everyone is different.
I’m so glad I had an actual childhood before all this happened

I wish I did.

me too. I still watch my childhood favs to this day
I’m 19 now .
Nobody has brought up how the quarantine, not being able to go to school and socialize, might have had a pretty significant influence on this.
Fr
yeah maybe but parents should have been more strict
as someone who was still in secondary during covid - covid was like 1-2 yrs ago everyone has gotten over it and it is no longer an excuse for like anything
It’s less of an “excuse,” more like a reason. I know for a fact that COVID will affect me for the rest of my life. I’m not *blaming* quarantine for how I act, but I know that the two years of missing real social interaction from school and stuff has subconsciously changed how I see people. Seeing nothing but filtered faces and emotionless-seeming comments in place of real people pretty early in my life HAS to have made an impact, and I can see it in my friends.
this was also common like 12 years ago when I was 12, they just started to get to it sooner, as they are exposed to it sooner thanks to social media... and who let them go there this early? if we are bringing covid to the chat, we better just say, just cause they were stuck at home together, doesn't mean parents were not supposed to parent...

when i was 12, i remember this day were i went to the library with my mom. the happiness i felt as four books added to my beloved collection that day, is unmatched to what this kids will ever feel with the childhood (is it even a CHILDhood anymore?) they’re living. i just can’t imagine that when they’re older, the childhood memories they’ll have will be doing the exact same thing they’re doing in that moment. buying makeup, skincare, overpriced cups, wearing small clothes… and the list goes on. it’s depressing, how they will never be able to experience such valuable and wholesome memories that will someday, when they are older, make them smile as they remember. people need to stop making/influencing kids to grow and look older. i honestly don’t understand the problem of living a long, healthy childhood.
Parents are the main problem here. But also, it's terrifying how much these kids want to grow up fast. SLOW DOWN. You'll have ALL the time to do make up when you'll be older.
Omgg the playground part is crazy… I’m now 16 almost 17 and I remember still playing at a playground around the age of 14/15…
Oh girl, you went through real sh*t , we know you could not enjoy your childhood but I'm sure the adult life is worth living for even if there's lots of limits, well I'm sure your already used to that. Nonetheless i wish you happiness,,,
😢😢😢
But I feel you😢
As a 13 year old in this generation I am so glad I got raised by a strict normal mom cause what is this....skincare at 10 and younger is crazyyy
Skincare is literally normal, the problem is these kids are using like very expensive products and giving into consumerism in such a young age
Ikr I’m 14 and have been homeschooled by my mom my whole life and for good reason! I’m glad that my mom and dad raised me the way I am.

As a boy, I'm very grateful for my normal mom, who's considered strict in this world
Why are all the 13 year olds so set on telling us they’re 13 😂 you’re inviting weirdos, please protect yourself

Because it’s soo problematic honestly we need people under 18 to be kicked from TikTok and for TikTok to monitor there app more so they can take down videos such as “thirst traps” etc and get rid of the minors bc there’s just 1 thing once TikTok is gone for these minors THEY'LL STOP ✋ TikTok and the adults are the literal problem here✋😔

That was 6 year old me because other girls wouldn't let me play with them anyway.
Did it work?
I have a 11 year old younger sister , I’m so glad that she never wears makeup or use skincare , just water and face cream. She only plays Roblox with her friends and she doesn’t even ask for a phone , she plays outside and honestly reminds me of myself when I was younger.
I wish my sister was like that.

Fr, my birthday rlly soon and it feels weird to say "When I was a kid" cuz technically I still AM a kid
I still have my Justice tops from when I was a tween, and I'm in my late 20s... somehow the last decade flew by so fast.
My birthday was 2 days ago-
The main reason I suspect is not because you’re so old, but because there has been so much recent change.
I used a small brand called wash with water. I got bullied for not using bigger brands like damn 💀💀
I use soap and glory and stuff that are gifted to me
Yeah, seeing girls do elaborate makeup/skincare routines at 10 years old is so insane to me.
Instead we bought a flip phone with a mirror and lip glosses from Claire's , and she loves it.
amazing move on the parents part there :D
I used to love Claire's when I was 10!
Those flip phones makeup toys and Disney Princess sets were something I obsessed over.
Did anyone else use to have Lelli Kelly shoes? One year they started making a make up tablet as a free gift, and I LOVED that thing, it must have been 2013-2015. I still have it now.
omg same! My parents even bought me the FAO Schwarz mirror that came with nail polish and lip balm
i want my future daughter to have a good girlhood but then i get scared that she would get made fun of and bullied for having toys and not makeup
All I cared about at 10 was horses, hanging out with my dog and writing stories. Heaven help the future.
its so silly how we are all acting like the boomer generation already. back in my dayyy

Shes in middle school.
isnt wearing makeup in middle school like a common middle school experience?

@overnightcreationsbyme8504. Ik it seems annoying rn and some of them might just be bad people, but trust me its probably just adolescence causing a school to look like a food chain. Oh yeah, and middle school, that’s like….6th grade to 8th grade or smth like that? So 11-14 years old? Well i would say that’s pretty normal behaviour for kids that age who want to look “cool” and “tough”. It’s not new to this generation

not my girl trying to sound deep lmao 😭😭😭 anyways i don’t get how you WERE a sephora girl, r u older now is that why? cuz sephora girls are usually talking abt young teens or tweens during this gen, not before, so i don’t think ur an adult yet so technically u still r i would think?

@@purple_heartzzz i’m not a girl lol- but it is because of mental growth and therapy. i am still very young.
@@CharlotteAland oh i see…i hope ur mental health gets better soon and i’m so sorry if i sounded rude btw!!! 😭😭😭
(btw i just wanted to let you know that when you are very young it’s extremely easy to get involved with the wrong people, as in make friends with ppl u shouldn’t rlly be hanging out with. but, remember that eventually, it will all sort out and the ppl who care abt u will be the only ones that will truly be by your side. if you r very upset abt someone bullying u perhaps, then remember, it’s ALWAYS okay to tell a teacher or an adult u trust. i know the school system’s fked up but trust me, it’s the best thing u can do and probably the safest. and remember that whatever other ppl say or think abt u shouldn’t matter, cuz it’s ur life. why should they be the ones to tell u if you’re this or that?? so, don’t let the bullying get to your head. it will only bother you as much as you let it bother you. if you are very stressed out abt let’s say, studies, then remember, there are so many study techniques you can try! there’s one for everyone, and yes, you will eventually find your own rhythm. also, studying with friends makes the studying process much less boring. also, a fun way to interpret info, especially in any history or science related courses, is to make it a story. for example, when i was younger, (i remember this somehow 😭), i had learned abt the structure of a basic human cell, my mom made it into a kingdom where the mitochondria were the people who generated electricity, and the nucleus was the king. it made it stick in my head for so much longer and also made it more fun! so don’t just try to memorize notes, make it into smth enjoyable!!
HEALTHY BODIES COME IN MANY DIFFERENT FORMS! did you know that different bone structure can make your body look different than others, as in, you can have a small, medium, or large bone structure! that’s why some ppl look more curvier than others, since their hip bone extends outwards more. it’s not something anyone can control but that’s OKAY.
i’m 19 and starting to regret every minute i spent in middle/high school trying to be more mature.
I have also been kinda guilty of this and mind you I am 21.

I'm 20 but I still love playgrounds lmao
I started doing basic skincare at 11, which is a good thing! Emphasis on basic. Water to rinse your face or maybe a gentle cleanser, basic face cream like Cetaphil, and then DEFINITELY spf50.
Thirteen year olds do NOT need Drunk Elephant retinol and all these scrubs and collagen products and what have you.
As for makeup, I am almost 19 and I have never tried to do it for myself until a few months ago when I followed a tutorial for light, natural makeup out of curiosity.

Disgusting
Grow up, by 25 you should already be over it. I bet you’re gonna be 30 with wrinkles and still crying about it
it took me 5 months of courage to ask my mom for just a lipgloss as a teen, these kids be getting 10 bags of makeup💀💀
When I was 10,no makeup either 💀💀 man these newer gens scare me
I never wore skin products till my skin actually GOT DRY 💀💀
I still don't have the courage
no srsly i had to secretly use my mom's lip balm at 14 cuz i knew she'd never allow me one😭

I’m thirteen and the only social media I have is UA-cam. I complain about it sometimes, but I am SOOOO thankful my parents don’t allow it in my house. I personally think that some of the parenting nowadays is horrible and social media has affected society in a lot of bad ways (some good). Honestly, I think I’ve been peer pressured by other teens to grow up quicker and look more like them so I can ‘fit in’. I’m also thankful I’m surrounded by amazing people, my role model is my grandpa. (Remember, who we surround ourselves with really matter) This is just about me lol. God bless.
I'm so proud of you. I know what it feels like
Your writing is spectacular for your age! God bless you and your parents❤️
Thanks!! @@winterblossoms203
You’re very lucky. Most of these 10 year old iPad and Sephora kids usually have neglectful parents.
fr, jst gonna turn 12 this saturday and like i was raised in the internet on their golden era, no supervison really, i do like make up and wear it SOMETIMES but dont depend on it unlike how most of the sephora kids are gonna turn out like, either way just because i wear light makeup doesnt mean I still keep enjoying my childhood.
I'm glad you're self-aware of these kids like most of us here! Your parents sound like lovely people and congrats on your first period! 💖
This is absolutely ridiculous and sad
your parents are amazing
Omg!!! That's so cute!!! ❤
That's similar to what my parents did, except I got beyblades haha!
At 10 I used to eat tons of chocolate and buy tons of erasers (my obsession since childhood) and make doll dresses myself. Not a Pokémon fan, but we were similar in that way
0:24 help the video of piper and Ellie is so nostalgic 😢
The only thing that I think about when seeing these types of videos is how these same kids will never understand what it's like having a childhood, while Gen Z tries to cling to their childhood, I feel like Gen Alpha will feel empty because of their lack of childhood
Yes! I'm 24 and still watch cartoons and anime (literally watching Strawberry Shortcake now), buy dolls, and play dress up they're missing all the best parts about being a kid and teen 😕
@@MiraTheeHuman yep! I’m in my 20s and I still watch cartoons
Well damn lucky gen alphas, nostalgia is the most gut wrenching thing ever 😢
I'm happy I'm not Gen alpha
As a minor myself, even if i go to Sophora I get looked at with disgust. Im honestly a goodie two shoes. All i wanted was a cute glittery eyeshadow for a cosplay i was working on (hatsune miku) but then i left with an ungodly amount of guilt.
Ngl just go to claires
Nothing wrong with going to Sephora as long as you get products safe for your skin and are super respectful!
bro miku cosplay is so cute 😭😭😭 Im glad to hear that someone out here is actually cool and not just a trend glazer.
wow ur gud for a minor i mean i dont think those kids even know how to speak a well made sentence
My heart goes out to you for having to experience that hun. Best of luck with your Miku cosplay I’m sure you’ll kill it!
this is making me EXTREMELY anxious like, how am I supposed to raise my kid?
Just let them be a kid and make sure they learn the important life lessons, don't let the internet influence them and make sure to check up on their mental health often and make them feel safe to come to you when they have issues. Do all those and you're pretty much a great parent!! Good luck dude :D
Keep them away from the internet no matter what. No matter how hard you try they will want to see everything that’s out there because they know they can with a single click. There’s nothing more curious than a child and if you think you’ve got your computer locked down, they’re a step ahead. Soo many kids ended up traumatized from being first introduced to the internet with no parental witnesses
Also like she said in the video, TV!!! Rerun those old Baby Einsteins and cartoons from Nickelodeon and Cartoon Network
NO TIKTOK thats a given. Be invested in your child, be a constant safe person for them to go to, catch them if they fall, dont scare them just love and guide them. You'll be fine, children are very intuitive so don't worry so much and enjoy the journey.
@@BunnyKip but won't they feel peer pressure? and tbh it's definitely going to come at them.

Because it’s soo problematic honestly we need people under 18 to be kicked from TikTok and for TikTok to monitor there app more so they can take down videos such as “thirst traps” etc and get rid of the minors bc there’s just 1 thing once TikTok is gone for these minors THEY'LL STOP ✋ TikTok and the adults are the literal problem here✋😔

(Sorry, kind of long comment. I just got a lot to say. If you read all of this, I really appreciate it!)
It sickens me as a Gen Z young adult to see. You're right. But honestly? Some of these comments do, as well. Whole fifteen year olds already snarkingly talking about "back in my day."
While I understand that yes, many of gen alpha's parents are severely neglecting parenthood, that's the issue.
@@DelilahDarling17
i feel like you all are forgetting the youngest of gen z is 2012.. gen alpha are like covid babies n/m!!
Exactly
I was 8 when I started skincare because my acne was BAD. But I didn’t use like anti aging or anything, just stuff my dermatologist recommended. I’m 13 next month 👍
As a 14yr old whos never touched makeup in her life, this is just disturbing

20 yrs later you will thank yourself! 🥹
2:18 off topic but the middle girls fit is fire
