it makes me appalled how so many can hate on a woman who has done nothing wrong and who is just being herself. she is a great actress and we know nothing about what she is going through in her personal life. please stop with this nonsensical hatred and trying to gain money from it, you do not deserve the cash from such a terrible video hating on her. she is a beautiful woman far more beautiful than you inside and out and you now nothing about her life so to be frank with you... we don't need your video and your opinion. Justin the director of the film hired a pr firm in order to fill social media with hate against her in order to tarnish her image. He is the one on a personal vendetta against her. these types of hate filled videos and comments stem from jealousy and the desire to gain cash as well as join the train of hatred intended to make someone hide away and end their career.
@@patriciabradnorismakingpudding Respectfully, she has demonstrated problematic behaviors in her past interviews and in this current press tour. While I am no way naive to think that the re-emergence of such interviews are not due to his PR team, but some of her actions are inexcusable like promoting her alcohol brand alongside a movie about DV. According to WHO, about 50% of the DV involved alcohol. Alcohol can often increase the possibility of DV events occurring. She was a producer of the movie, where she allowed her husband to make changes to the script without informing the scriptwriters. As a producer, this was highly unprofessional and potentially fireable action (if she was regular person). Please do not enable such problematic behaviors by targeting individuals who are rightfully critiquing her actions.
i believe leighton meester would do something great of lily role as she know about toxic relationship aka bad blood with blake and her mum . she also wore born in prison
I feel like this video was incredibly non-biased. Unlike other videos, I’ve watched on this matter. If you don’t want to watch peoples take on this situation, Dont. As someone who was a big fan of Blake’s… let’s be honest she is absolutely not a good actress. That has not stopped me from watching her films and of course GG. Like her husband, she has one role she can play and that would be herself. However, I have been biased and in the past, loved her for her. The point of all of this, has been to show how tone deaf she has been not only in promoting this movie about DV and SA.. But also, where she got married, her failed website about antebellum fashion.. And her history of not getting along with co- stars on set. It’s been a repetitive theme. Which is unfortunate. It’s not about hating her. It’s about calling out entitled , ignorant, Repugnant behavior. Something is Provoking you about this video that stays anti-bullying throughout. It speaks on facts. Not speculation. It’s unfortunate when you find out a celebrity you admired turns out to be something different. It’s another reminder. Hollywood is fucked up. Also, she was a Harvey Weinstein girl, her public comments about him are really questionable… And some people feel her public comments about, Woody Allen are the same. These are all facts. You can do with that what you want. However, coming onto this platform and stating this UA-camr is hating on Blake lively due to jealousy is preposterous. Check yourself.
@@patriciabradnorismakingpudding I don’t think it is hate. It is just ppl being disgusting and disappointed. But she will never victim she is you know multitudes.
She for sure wanted her Barbenheimer moment with her husband's movie, too, but what she clearly didn't realize is that her movie, It Ends With Us, was Oppenheimer, and Deadpool & Wolverine was Barbie lol
The only reason she was so well liked in the first place was because people have only perceived her through her character in Gossip Girl, her MET gala looks and her social media interactions with her husband. We basically created for her this persona of who we thought she was. It wasn't until It Ends With Us that most of us heard her talk as herself for the first time, and it's just unfortunate that she talks like a self absorbed airhead
Attacking an interviewer for asking questions about the fashion in a movie where the fashion was unique to the time period and carefully curated, and then making a movie about abuse about her fashion…
Right. And she could’ve used that question as a way to compliment the wardrobe/costume team on doing a fabulous job, but instead she took another hurtful jab at the interviewer in a condescending way.
something about blake saying "blondes are nicer!" as some sort of dig at leighton meester when leighton is literally a natural blonde who dyed her hair brown for the role is sending me 🤣
I’m so glad that, despite her efforts, Justin is coming out with his reputation clean from this feud. He seems like a genuine good guy and she tried to squish him, trying to leverage her husband’s power and it BACKFIRED! Justin is the hero in this story
Yeah, seeing how he actually officiated Gina Rodriguez's wedding (despite literally being her love interest in Jane the Virgin) gave me a lot of respect for him - despite being an actor, Justin Baldoni is still comfortable *not* being the centre of attention & literally supporting others in the spotlight instead. Something Blake Lively could learn from him.
Do we think after Barbie movie came out, people in her inner cirlce were like "You should've been Barbie! You're a real life Barbie!" and so then she picked her next project and decided to just turn that into her excuse to "be" Barbie? I feel like we're watching a real-life "I'll show them who's Barbie!" saga play out.
Isn't she too old for all of that though, IK Margot is not 20 either but she does have a younger vibe, blake looks like she could play barbie's mom or elder sister.
Definitely, like if Barbie came out in like 2010, she would have tried so hard to play her. Also in a Simple Favour interview with Anna Kendrick, Blake says she WISHED she could play a Disney princess. So the mentality is there. There's nothing deep about playing a Disney princess, so very up her street of an aspirational 'it girl' 'beauty centric' type role rather than a role about struggle like Lilly Bloom, but of course she made it all about fashion for some bizarre reason.
in this whole drama I really felt bad for JUSTIN BALDONI , despite his genuine efforts to promote the movie as it should be blake's pr team constantly tried to paint him as a bad person .....he was the only one who actually talked about the DV issue during press tour but blake literally messed up everything due her ME ME ME attitude
Me too. I feel very sorry for him. He's been treated like crap and I'm glad most people can see that. And he's kept his feelings to himself, bless him. The second movie is now impossible thanks to Blake and her husband's efforts.
@@sirdidymus24 what do you want? You're triggered when straight feminist men spread awareness, but I bet you're also triggered if they don't. There is no way to create something that reaches as many people as possible without monetizing it - unless you're an a lister. Which he's not. So taking something that is popular, whether it's problematic or not is actually the smartest thing to do, since it already has a big audience. And him using interviews and podcasts to openly talk about an issue that's still a big taboo in our society, is the right way to go. "WeAr yOur fLoRalS" is not.
He has pr working for him don't be sorry we don't know the whole story (not saying there is a bad or a good person here just take distance with everything happening, we know pr can be very effective with the exemple of amber vs jonny depp)
I feel like her husband had such a success with Deadpool & Wolverine, not just the movie but the marketing up until the release that she felt like she could ride off that success but she tried to copy his "style" a bit too much. Ryan's personality is very sarcastic, quick and funny but it always lands cause he's not afraid to joke about himself, while Blake seem to take herself very seriously.
His humour doesn’t fit her brand… cus her brand is this feminst person that fight bodyshaming (which is a serious person…but she also… is rich and isn’t really impacted by sexism that much…)
I loved how Anna Kendrick really humbled Blake during A Simple Favor's promotions. Blake really met her competition. It felt like "when a part-time bully meets a pro bully".
“Don’t talk to me about fashion, that’s sexist!” (Proceeds to make a film about DV all about her wardrobe). “That man with a back injury is fat-shaming me because he wants to know how much he needs to lift!” (Proceeds to fat-shame other women). Personally, I don’t see her brand recovering from all the hypocrisy and obnoxious behaviour.
She'll probably try to rebrand herself as a diva or try to embody the "mean girl" trope as a way of not taking accountability, which she is already seeming to do. Unless she throws in the towel and waits for everyone to forget about the drama and form a new persona.
I never liked her character in Gossip Girl, but I thought she was different when that Adeline movie came out and she played that role very well. She has the best dresses at the met gala so she made me believe she was genuinely kind and caring but now that this drama is everywhere I’m very surprised and convinced that she’s more like serena in real life 😖
no cause the "fat shaming" was him asking a coach how he can train to lift her in the air so he doesn't hurt his back. Like, that's a valid concern, even for people who don't have back problems. and he DOES have a history of back issues. She's a grown woman, she weighs the amount a grown adult weighs, god forbid he try to train so he doesn't injure himself lifting her up.
And if she didn’t like her weight, that’s her issue, not Justin’s. Why blame someone else and try to spread false reports for your own problem? He was trying to do this stunt in a professional way with his set trainer.
Also he can't make any hiccups coz she's pregnant on top of that. So he's right to think about consulting for training to lift her up safely for the both of them.
It's a little cringe, how much she was feeling herself. She expected this to be her moment and it backfired so bad, I hope younger celebrities will use this as a case-study of what NOT to do!
@Natta44 she's been in the industry forever, she's a nepotism baby. She probably will have had media training... But since her and Ryan, she seems to think they're the biggest IT couple in Hollywood. These celebs forget that we're the ones who get to decide who stays popular and relevant, especially since Social Media.
As one of the dancers who was in Barbie (you can even see me in the clip when we were celebrating the final take hehe!) There is a huge reason why Blake could never have been Barbie. Margot is like sunshine, she and all the other main cast were so friendly and humble. Spoke to us with genuine interest, shared jokes on set, Margot organised treats for us like ice cream/pancakes/waffle trucks. It’s so clear that kindness can’t be branded and has to be genuine. Margot embodies kindness and nothing had to be manufactured or presented to media for people to think so. Just don’t get the same vibes for Lively.
5:04 “least problematic couples” not sure if it’s going to come up later, but Ryan Reynolds getting divorced the same year that he met Blake Lively and them having a plantation wedding… they were always problematic they were just also popular enough to drown it out.
How they got together is probablamatic, the couple themselves are not as problematic. Ryan has gradually gotten better since the early 2010s, but blake just got worse and worse. She's trying to be her husband but she's not. And that's failing her.
Blake Lively may not have done a good job at promoting awareness of DV, but she certainly excelled in promoting mean girl high school energy in adulthood.
I grew up on gossip girl. I always felt like Blake’s acting was very one dimensional and boring. Leighton Meester and Penn Badgley were the reasons I was so into the show.
Right?! I loved Blair's character, she was always trying her best and had so much character development. Serena just never seemed to change or grow as a person, she was so boring. I literally watched for Blair and Dorota 😅 Heck even Georgina was more interesting than Serena!
Blair dominated the screen. She held that space. The show tried very hard to put Serena on the pedestal but years later we are, by a large majority, a Blairites

@@eva5821 Blake and Ryan got married on a plantation, where there were seven preserved slave cabins on the site. They then tried to say that they just "picked the venue on pinterest" and didn't look more into it.
It’s kinda crazy that Justin Baldoni was so passionate about helping victims get help from DV while playing the ab*ser, whereas Blake was playing the actual victim and she could care less about the central message. I really feel for Justin and hope that this movie doesn’t damage his career, because he genuinely seems like a nice person.
Congrats, you absolutely didn't get it. You were so ready to tear her down. This video has never been 'objective' or obeserving. It's pure media incompetence (that we're all guilty of) and malicous glee to watch a woman fall.
I can't wait to see Ryan reynolds joke his way out of this in the next deadpool movie. He might even bring in blake as lady pool to repair her image as well. It will be insufferable. Blake really underestimated how well liked justin baldoni is when she leaked those rumors about him. It backfired so hard. And kudos to the interviewer who exposed her. She waited for the right moment, saw an opportunity and made everything 100 times worse for blake. Bet it was really satisfying for the interviewer after all these years. People never forget how you made them feel.

I can't imagine being a DV victim or survivor and going to watch this movie thinking it's a fun romcom only to find yourself reliving your worst moments. I got out of a toxic relationship 8 years ago and I know I would have been triggered badly or dissociated.
Alcohol is a depressant and there's no evidence of it causing violence let alone abuse other than by lowering the inhibitions of people who were already violent and/or abusive. The myth that alcoholism can turn a nonabusive man abusive or that being drunk makes a man lose control of his violent actions is a very convenient excuse for abusers. So while yes, a drunk abuser is more dangerous and likely to go further (using physical violence where otherwise they'd just be verbally abusive or threatening or escalating the severity of violence) than that same person when sober, that's due to lowered inhibitions combined with the knowledge that they are more likely to get away with it.
As of domestic abuse survivor and sexual abuse survivor over several times all I have to say about this is that good for Blake for never having to experience such pain and trauma I mean it’s completely clear by the way she’s been involved in the film, I’m not saying that out of nastiness I’m actually saying that for somebody to act the way she is it shows that she has absolutely never faced the horrors of abuse and I hope she never does because it not only changes your life. It can also destroy it, God bless anybody who has experience such trauma. We are the real superstars not Blake.
@@roxassora2706fair. Additional take: that when we don’t say murdered, we are not acknowledging that her life ended by a brutal crime being committed. If we hide the bad things they just keep in happening, when we shine a light on them we bring visibility and attention to what may need to be addressed or changed in society. Just my thought.
I just deeply feel sorry for Justin Baldoni, this movie could have seen better days if only Blake was not involved in the movie. He didn't deserve this .
I low key feel so bad for Justin, he seemed so passionate about the topic of the book and trying to help victims. Its such a shame Blake used it as a marketing oppurtunity. I mean she's famous, she could have done this with literally any other film
I think what so many people get wrong about the "congrats on your little bump" comment is that Blake wasn't refering to the interviewer's actual physical appearance or possible pregnancy. She wanted to show how much of a feminist she is and how "well" she can deflect from an interviewer commenting on her body, essentially giving her a taste of her own medicine. This fell flat because the interviewer's comment was never meant to objectify her body, shame, or praise her. She made a comment about Blake's life circumstances and congratulating her about the new life she was expecting. Blake defended herself from something that wasn't an attack and really hurt somebody in the process.
I don’t think, Lively is thinking so much. It was a spontanous snap-bite. The interviewer is pretty, tall and slim and has blonde hair more beautiful than her own.
For a long time, I’ve only ever seen her as a famous person’s wife and a fashionista. I have never taken her seriously as an actress. I definitely wasn’t expecting any fuss about this movie because let’s be real, Her movies are not that great. But this drama, is something I never expected. It definitely put her on the map in a bad way.
It confusing still as to how she is a 'fashionista' ....this moniker never sat with me as there are so many other celeb starlets who wear their clothing in ways that makes an indelible print on sartorial history. Looks that take your breath away to the point you almost forget who is wearing them. Looks people discuss for decades. This woman is the definition of 'basic' and I never understood why people ranted raved over her fashion choices. And to be fair so many of them were just plain hideous. These looks aren't haute they are hot messes, made worse by how she styled and wore them. She always seemed to me as someone playing dress up. There is never that 'spice' or uniqueness to her demeanour or styling. On a superficial level I pass much better looking women on the street on the subway every day.
She really lacks self-awareness. Her recent expose is harming Ryan Reynolds' personal brand too. Both of them more celebrity than actor, known for movie characters where they basically play themselves.
Honestly I'm surprised no one suggested to her to make nonalcoholic spritzers which would have made more sense since she doesn't drink and ties into the movie better.

It's not an unusual thing to say.
The lady who was asking her about the wardrobe was literally from a fashion magazine.. and the clip right after where she says that it’s one of her favorite wardrobes on a movie she’s ever worn… you mean your own wardrobe that you brought? Damn she so unbelievably unlikable
She was never America’s Sweetheart, why do people keep saying that? At most she is just known as Ryan Reynold’s wife, no one was running to go see her movies. It’s wild how we attach the America ‘s Sweetheart moniker to any conventionally attractive white woman.
Well, I've notice a pattern when it comes to the entertainers being labeled as "American Sweetheart" which in my opinion is a sure fire way this person is most likely horrible in front and out of cameras...i.e Rosie O' Donnell, Ellen DeGeneres, Julia Roberts, Reese "do you know who I am" Witherspoon, amongst other I can think from the top of my head, but the point is not all of them are conventionally attractive, take a peak of Ellen DeGeneres without makeup.
True, she never really earned her spot as a Hollywood starlet like Scarlett Johannson, Angelina Jolie, Nicole Kidman, Lupita etc. But she was always there at the same events when she's never been in anything notable or rememberable. She became A list be association of Ryan Reynolds, Taylor Swift bezzie and other a listers.
@@violetviolent7980That’s fair but Ellen Degeneres was an American Sweetheart, as was Rosie O Donnell, and Oprah Winfrey because they were able to appear relatable while hosting shows that spoke to the American experience. In the same vain of the aforementioned, Julia Roberts, Reese Witherspoon, and Meg Ryan, played characters with the All American Girl trait of the girl next door, which got conflated to be the American Sweetheart, which then quickly became the rule to be ‘awarded’ the title as opposed to the exception. So now when you hear the term American Sweetheart, you immediately think of the all American girl next door, which is the aesthetic Blake parallels (conventional attractive white women that seems relatable or that is the aspiration of other women). There is a reason the girl next door in America is typically her phenotype, because ‘otherness’ is not aspirational. I could write an essay on this, but the reality is I’ve given Blake Lively too much of my time, for someone that has zero importance to me. LOL.
I think the reason why Blake was likable before was because she was mostly just a doll for designers to put clothes on. Her charm disappeared the minute she opened her mouth.
“people will remember how you made them feel.” Kjersten Flaa, the journalist who interviewed her, is a perfect illustration of this part of Maya Angelou’s quote 👌
I really hope Justin Baldoni gets the most success from this and makes/produces and directs more films especially about DV. Thank Heavens SOMEBODY had common sense and emotional empathy for real survivors of abuse. Thank you Justin, you made it BEARABLE.
I feel like Blake should go the Vanessa Hudgens way and be a Christmas film kinda of girl! I feel like she lacks the awareness of being able to handle heavy projects and the direction of light hearted Christmas romcoms would do her a service if anything. Honestly her team should be on it!

I think it would be very interesting for you to revisit this video. Specially in the light of the NYT article and the power of social media and PR firms dedicated to manipulate narratives.
@@ekaeka763 Unpleasant people can be victims of sexual harassment. You know, the actual criminal behaviour that Baldoni enacted the smear campaign to cover up? Baldoni's extremely calculated behaviour to not only harass her on set, but decimate her image in a covert PR campaign, is significantly more concerning and immoral (and, you know, illegal) than Lively being self-centred and a little mean. He had a responsibility as the film's director to protect his actors. He used this position to belittle Lively, to embarrass her, to walk in on her naked, pry about her sex life, reveal unwarranted info about his prior sexual misconduct, etc. Then he made the world hate her. Not because she deserves it, or she's genuinely the worst person ever to walk this earth (though that karmic narrative is satisfying for people and a proven great PR angle). He did it to save his ass because he knew, as we all do, that women aren't allowed to be imperfect victims. There is no such thing as a perfect victim. It's important that we recognise this because the media and the law levies any trace of a woman being less than perfect against SA charges all the time as a misogynistic tactic. We don't punish men for their sexual misconduct, but we take any opportunity to vilify a woman. There is a lot of nuance to the situation, but I don't think anyone can read the lawsuit and conclude that Blake Lively being shitty is the main takeaway. This case highlights how important it is to be aware of propaganda, do your own research, and recognise when you don't have all the facts.
There was def a period around 2007-2009ish when she was getting big after Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants and landing Gossip Girl that tabloids were calling her America’s Sweetheart. I feel like that term is thrown around a lot and the “sweetheart” changes quickly, but I remember she was it for a brief couple of years
On the other hand I would LOVE a video about Margot Robbie and how she climbed her way to the top and has essentially replaced blake as hollywoods sweetheart
I don't think Margot and blake are in same category. Margot went from being blonde sex symbol to actress with Oscar winning potential to now and IT girl and a certified Hollywood celebrity ppl look forward to. Margot doesn't have her personal life on front for the media as well. I mean we haven't seen her wedding pictures yet and they've been married for almost a decade now. So comparing her and blake isn't tasteful in my opinion but i would LOVE for her to open up and say her process/life on how she made it in Hollywood.
Blake was never Hollywood’s sweetheart. She’s more like the Hollywood girl who peaked in high school and married the quarter back and got sucked into a MLM scam.

She’s having the fun goofy vibes because Deadpool & Wolverine happened for her husband at the same time as It Ends With Us and they are appearing on red carpets together as the funny quippy couple, however she didn’t drop the persona in serious interviews so she’s using her husbands humor in places it doesn’t belong because it’s what he does in his interviews. She is big on pushing her family image as being perfect for eachother. And men used to congratulate Ryan, whom they admire, on having a hot wife. Now people despise her and her marriage is no longer being praised and men who like Ryan have turned on her 😂 now add the “bump” interview, the plantation wedding, all the other things. Yet he is the only one who spoke out protecting Blake. Funny because he barely spoke in the movie or on the press tour but took his one IG post to protect Blake and Coleen instead of DV victims. He picked the wrong side
She would’ve been better off taking the movie seriously making sure it was a success, and then releasing her brands after a while after the movie, but while she is still in the limelight from it.
If the books I write will become movies, and me and the actors put effort into trasmitting a message while the actress of the main character talks all about the outfits and not about what we want to trasmit, I would be so fed up
The fact that Colleen Hoover sided with Blake doesn't surprise me. CoHo is notorious for trying to market, her dark themed books as cute light fluffy Rom-Coms. Her and Blake are cut from the same cloth

A lot of these interviews are years old and I'm pretty sure at this point in her career and her life she believes herself to be untouchable. I used to like him and his movies, with "Definitely, Maybe" and "The Proposal" along with the "Two Guys, A Girl, and a Pizza Place" TV show were among my favorites to rewatch, but hearing Blake and he went behind the script writer's back, having Ryan rewrite a scene during the writers' strike and the weird bit of him interviewing the male supporting actor acting like a controlling husband for the interview promoting a movie about DV makes me wonder if I'll be able to watch him in a movie after this without cringing.
It is kind of making me question him as a person, but it's mostly genuine surprise that he married someone like this, and also that he left ScarJo for her! My impression is actually not that Ryan is some bad guy, but that Blake is very controlling and demanding behind the scenes.
Ryan Reynolds has also gotten really into kpop brand stray kids and is in their latest video, and I can't help but wonder if their PR firm is concerned about this because kpop PR is no joke
Crazy idea but don't you think that Blake used to be a pretty nice and pleasant person before she got married to Ryan Reynolds...? Ryan Reynolds on the other hand has always seemed a bit smug and snarky in interviews. There's been rumors that he's controlling and jealous of his partners if their careers are going well. I feel like the change we see in Blake now is the result of his influence...?!
@@rosethorn0232 ScarJo was a big star when Ryan Reynolds didn't have a big career. She also wasn't ready to settle down & pop out children, which would've slowed down her career in its peak. Blake on the other hand didn't really do any movies & she was willing to have a bunch of kids back to back. Taking the backseat while Ryan built his career. & now everyone is shocked that they're married. Birds of a feather flock together
Plus Ryan and Blake commissioned an editor he knew to do an alternate ending. How rude and disrespectful is that to the director, basically saying they didn’t want his ending. How arrogant, when Justin was the executive producer, director, and has all rights to the book.
What's worse is that the author said the story is loosly based on her own mother's abused past. She made the coloring book, and I think, a nail polish line. Noone was really promoting it like the director. She was always with Blake.
colleen hoover literally writes all of her male love interests to be just as abusive as ryle, too... only the rest get happy endings. one male love interest cheats on his wife in front of her for an entire book (she was paralysed or smn) and then kills her, one keeps his gf bound to a bed to be tortured for the entire book (whilst also cheating on her), one sets his future gf's home on fire w her inside - leaving her w burns all over her body that ruin her career before she's even 18; almost all of them rape the protagonists of their respective-books, and colleen has an obsession w including scenes of the male love interests body-blocking the protagonist and keeping her trapped inside a room w him. even atlas (who's supposed to be the good "saviour" in "it ends w us") is weird and toxic in a myriad of ways lmfao. likewise, the book is called "it ends w us" because lily decides to leave ryle in order to prevent the abuse cycle spreading to hers and ryle's kids... then she lets him have split custody in the epilogue. it literally did *not* end w us. and all of that's not even touching on her obsession w her father (who abused her mother, and inspired ryle's character) or the rape allegations against her son. blake and ryan seem like nasty pieces of work, but the fact that the public is making out like theyve sullied a "beautiful, heart-wrenching" tale abt abuse is extremely annoying - the director seems like the only person who even cares abt this subject and not even that was enough to stop the film from ending up a toxic dumpster fire
@Kiki-cs8xv -- Probably not, but I'm not sure she set out to write an objective book about DV. Or set any records straight about the issues involved or related to it, or show how problematic situations and toxic people can and should be dealt with by individuals or society as a whole. . It sounds like she wrote her story ofc in part for profit but also (maybe subconsciously) simply to process her own childhood and issues. Obviously, her dedication to her abusive father indicates she needs to keep on processing and healing a little... or a lot... more. But still, you get what I mean, I'm sure.
In a world full of talented actors and actresses, Blake Lively was never a name. I never really watched Gossip Girl but she carries the whole show on her looks and fashion. No wonder whenever I have watched her movies, there is always “something missing”. That something is probably acting skills, she overplayed her “power couple” hand, while hanging out with other famous well-liked people and probably thought it’s her right to promote her brand while doing promos for a DV movie. Not only tone deaf but also what a waste of a powerful platform and opportunity. Kudos to Justin Baldoni for being a class game, I hope he gets more projects soon ❤
I let everyone hate me for saying this: Never liked her in GG, never thought she is pretty, never understood what Ryan saw in her. Mean girl energy all the way and even shows on the face. Beauty comes from within.
Blake stole ryan from scarlett johnson Her family was in hollywood so she got roles easily Was a nepo baby And same gurl even i didn't like her from the beginning
I think it’s much simpler than that. i think she was slowly taking over ryan’s personality over the years and trying to “match” his humor. while it’s just cringy that she’s just took her husband’s personality and she thinks it’s cool
youre a grown ass woman living in a world of rapists and homewreckers and you dare to come for a woman like taylor swift due to "vibes". There is nothing about taylor swift any more wrong than any other celebrity. Put that phone down and do your chore, lmao..
As someone who had tolerated her since 2007 and found her intolerable since she married that dude, allow me to say that Blake Lively was certainly not loved by everyone. In fact, despite being in various comparatively successful projects, people barely knew her. She and her husband have definitely tried to pose as a "power couple" but they never actually reached that status, no matter how much the industry pushes them. She's a traditionally pretty lady by western standards, I'll give her that. But she has zero charisma or talent and she has only managed to stay "relevant" through being related or connected to more famous folks.
@dhsf5937 -- And she even admitted it. Talking about her parents paying (the director?) of a project, a competition of some kind iirc, off when she was younger so that she came out on top... even though it was for musicians and in her own words she can't sing. This was in some interview with Whoopi Goldberg. . She appears to be proud of stuff like this, like she thinks people will be all excited for her and jealous over how 'cool' it was that her parents did that and that it worked. She seems to have little to no awareness of how bad it makes her look and why so (and how bad it made her parents look, and why she was probably supposed to keep it a secret). . Nearly everything about how she behaves shows she is the logical conclusion of what happens when parents take the spoil-kids-rotten route and basically kinda ruin their kid's odds of healthy relationships with decent people who actually like them (and would even if they weren't rich and/or good looking). It's not the kindness parents think it is to raise kids this way.
And we shouldn't overlook the fact that she has tried so badly to paint Justin Baldoni (main actor AND director of "It ends with us") in such a bad light and has taken all the credits to her, she has changed the movie script behind the director's back, turned it into HER movie during and after, while Justin has just been staying in the background, not showing off, being the voice for DV survivors, protecting himself from all the drama and just has been a gentleman about Blake although she's been a real B... to him. She seems to have very deep insecurities and has for sure narcissistic tendencies. I have never liked her and couldn't put my finger on why, now I can see why.
Oh wow, I usually listen to youtube vids when working, but seeing this interview 3:33, that really is a mean thing to do, literally just having a conversation between themselves while icing out the INTERVIEWER during an interview?
A well known behavior analyst who has a ytube channel watched the interview and said her behaviors show it was her intention to bring negativity in the interview (I would say, more specifically to the interviewer). He said she showed condescending behavior and took uncalled for jabs at the interviewer, only confirming what everyone else saw.
That surprised me too the way Parker Posey just kept going on with it. It looked at first like she was going to genuinely answer the fashion question, but when Blake interrupted and asked if the men would be asked about the clothes they both just carried on with the mean girl routine. Totally uncalled for behaviour.
@@vickijackson5547 I feel like she was basically trying to copy what Scarlett Johansson and Hilary Clinton have pulled off in previous interviews (when asked gendered clothing questions) but with WAY more class (e.g. ScarJo was being asked about what underwear she wore under her 'tight' superhero outfit, & Hilary Clinton was asked which designer she wore during her political campaign).
You should totally watch the full interview! It's painful but gives SO much insight into her mean girl attitude. That interviewer was so patient to put up with Blake's shitty behavior...
And then there´s people like Anne Hathaway who get hated on for genuinely being too kind and "too perfect". She is genuinely a sweetheart and according to costars great to work with, she is beautiful, has a nice life, is talented... and then there´s Blake
The first interview I ever read was where she said she knew Penn from somewhere and didn’t like him for some reason, so poisoned the entire Gossip Girl cast against him. Also, she told the stylist „you can’t give this bag to Blair, we can totally make it Serena“, when there was an item she liked. Idk. It sounded like Mean Girl behavior to me and I haven’t liked her since.
16:47 I doubt she read the book. What the character wears is inconsequential to the story. She desperately wanted her a Barbie moment bc she was mad they didn't cast her for that film.
It's dyed, right? No idea if she's a natural blonde or not, but I get the feeling that she's banking on the COLOUR of her hair to sell the haircare products instead of the STATE of it. Seems on brand for someone who got married on a plantation...

it makes me appalled how so many can hate on a woman who has done nothing wrong and who is just being herself. she is a great actress and we know nothing about what she is going through in her personal life. please stop with this nonsensical hatred and trying to gain money from it, you do not deserve the cash from such a terrible video hating on her. she is a beautiful woman far more beautiful than you inside and out and you now nothing about her life so to be frank with you... we don't need your video and your opinion. Justin the director of the film hired a pr firm in order to fill social media with hate against her in order to tarnish her image.

She for sure wanted her Barbenheimer moment with her husband's movie, too, but what she clearly didn't realize is that her movie, It Ends With Us, was Oppenheimer, and Deadpool & Wolverine was Barbie lol
So true
Ladypool ends with us
Except her movie is not Oppenheimer …or in that realm.
Dude, this is an excellent metaphor. 😂
Wait..i don't get it
The only reason she was so well liked in the first place was because people have only perceived her through her character in Gossip Girl, her MET gala looks and her social media interactions with her husband. We basically created for her this persona of who we thought she was. It wasn't until It Ends With Us that most of us heard her talk as herself for the first time, and it's just unfortunate that she talks like a self absorbed airhead
I 2nd this. Pretty privilege is so real!
I basically only knew her as Ryan Reynolds' wife and that she was in Gossip Girl, and I'm sure I'm far from the only one. This is so real.

This is exactly the conclusion I came to
This!!! Her met gala looks and her banter with Ryan was all I knew her from.
Right.. and the interviewer even said she would've asked the men the same question BECAUSE IT WAS RELEVANT
AND THE INTERVIEWER EVEN SAID SHE WOULD ASK THE MAN TOO! HER POINT WAS FRICKING WRONG 😭
Not to mention, she worked for a fashion centered company, so her interview questions were always going to be from that angle.
She totally rip that comment off of Scarlet Jo -- She was the one to say it funny enough Scarlet was Ryans EX maybe she's just obsessed with her.

He's a devout male feminist nun it would seem.
Do we think after Barbie movie came out, people in her inner cirlce were like "You should've been Barbie! You're a real life Barbie!" and so then she picked her next project and decided to just turn that into her excuse to "be" Barbie? Definitely, like if Barbie came out in like 2010, she would have tried so hard to play her. Also in a Simple Favour interview with Anna Kendrick, Blake says she WISHED she could play a Disney princess. So the mentality is there. There's nothing deep about playing a Disney princess, so very up her street of an aspirational 'it girl' 'beauty centric' type role rather than a role about struggle like Lilly Bloom, but of course she made it all about fashion for some bizarre reason.

Ryan jokes and does it at his own expense.

no cause the "fat shaming" was him asking a coach how he can train to lift her in the air so he doesn't hurt his back.
Yeah people injure their backs lifting something only like 30 or 40 lb, the weight of a human is a lot more than that

There is a huge reason why Blake could never have been Barbie.

How they got together is probablamatic, the couple themselves are not as problematic. Ryan has gradually gotten better since the early 2010s, but blake just got worse and worse. She's trying to be her husband but she's not. And that's failing her.
I agree, they most definitely are problematic.

I just deeply feel sorry for Justin Baldoni, this movie could have seen better days if only Blake was not involved in the movie. He didn't deserve this .
What do you mean? the movie, despite the bad press, is doing very well. I wouldn't even have cared about it if it wasn't because of Lively's drama...
I low key feel so bad for Justin, he seemed so passionate about the topic of the book and trying to help victims. Its such a shame Blake used it as a marketing oppurtunity. I mean she's famous, she could have done this with literally any other film
Exactly!!!!!
I may be too stupid but I don’t understand the feminist pov… just that the interviewer was congratulating her on pregnancy and nothing else

It definitely put her on the map in a bad way.

Traveling pants is a classic. She's the worst part of that movie, but still.
Same here. I always see her as just another trophy wife. She is flat and boring. And a mediocre actress.

Your comment is totally spot on.
She was never America’s Sweetheart, why do people keep saying that? At most she is just known as Ryan Reynold’s wife, no one was running to go see her movies. It’s wild how we attach the America ‘s Sweetheart moniker to any conventionally attractive white woman.
to make it more dramatic that it needs to be too.
the woman is at best being caught at weird moment that probably live free in her head anyway.
Yeah I honestly didn’t know anything else about her other than the fact that she was Ryan Reynolds’s wife lol.

I think it would be very interesting for you to revisit this video. Specially in the light of the NYT article and the power of social media and PR firms dedicated to manipulate narratives.
Nothing will change. Lively's rotten personality had been exposed. With or without's Baldoni's smear campaign, lively is rotten
Okay sorry 0:15 in and I gotta double check: when was Blake Lively ever described as America’s Sweetheart?
I think it was her connection to Ryan that made people think that
There was def a period around 2007-2009ish when she was getting big after Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants and landing Gossip Girl that tabloids were calling her America’s Sweetheart. I feel like that term is thrown around a lot and the “sweetheart” changes quickly, but I remember she was it for a brief couple of years
On the other hand I would LOVE a video about Margot Robbie and how she climbed her way to the top and has essentially replaced blake as hollywoods sweetheart
I’d be interested in a video on that, too.
I’m not sure Blake even had that status to begin with.. Margot can actually act, whereas Blake just plays herself in everything

I will forever be a CoHo and every year, I find new reasons to hate her all over again. Yep, she and Blake are cut from the same cloth
colleen hoover literally writes all of her male love interests to be just as abusive as ryle, too... only the rest get happy endings. one male love interest cheats on his wife in front of her for an entire book (she was paralysed or smn) and then kills her, one keeps his gf bound to a bed to be tortured for the entire book (whilst also cheating on her), one sets his future gf's home on fire w her inside - leaving her w burns all over her body that ruin her career before she's even 18; almost all of them rape the protagonists of their respective-books, and colleen has an obsession w including scenes of the male love interests body-blocking the protagonist and keeping her trapped inside a room w him.
even atlas (who's supposed to be the good "saviour" in "it ends w us") is weird and toxic in a myriad of ways lmfao. likewise, the book is called "it ends w us" because lily decides to leave ryle in order to prevent the abuse cycle spreading to hers and ryle's kids... then she lets him have split custody in the epilogue. it literally did *not* end w us. and all of that's not even touching on her obsession w her father (who abused her mother, and inspired ryle's character) or the rape allegations against her son.
blake and ryan seem like nasty pieces of work, but the fact that the public is making out like theyve sullied a "beautiful, heart-wrenching" tale abt abuse is extremely annoying - the director seems like the only person who even cares abt this subject and not even that was enough to stop the film from ending up a toxic dumpster fire
@@zaddyfaye6880 thank you for all of that info. Well said. Did the book end differently from the movie?

As someone who had tolerated her since 2007 and found her intolerable since she married that dude, allow me to say that Blake Lively was certainly not loved by everyone. In fact, despite being in various comparatively successful projects, people barely knew her. She and her husband have definitely tried to pose as a "power couple" but they never actually reached that status, no matter how much the industry pushes them. She's a traditionally pretty lady by western standards, I'll give her that. But she has zero charisma or talent and she has only managed to stay "relevant" through being related or connected to more famous folks.
OUCH! But also...can't argue the points. LOL
She also is only part of the industry because she is a nepo baby.

I just think being Ryan’s wife and bff with Taylor has gotten to her head.
What does it say about Taylor to be friends with her?
Oh wow, I usually listen to youtube vids when working, but seeing this interview 3:33, that really is a mean thing to do, literally just having a conversation between themselves while icing out the INTERVIEWER during an interview?
Yes, they seemed so immature. :/
The little bump moment never gets easier to watch, no matter how many times I see it.
And then there´s people like Anne Hathaway who get hated on for genuinely being too kind and "too perfect". She is genuinely a sweetheart and according to costars great to work with, she is beautiful, has a nice life, is talented... and then there´s Blake
Blake Lively's satisfying downfall was not in my 2024 bingo card *Sighing blissfully*
A lot of things are happening in 2024.
12:11 and in the movie/book, the first time ryle absues her is after they are drunk on wine....so not a good time to promote your "alcohol" brand😬
Are you going to re-do the video following the lawsuit?
You forgot to mention how quickly she made fun of the Duchess of Cambridge with the ridiculous photoshop ad she posted for betty buzz.
Dunking on someone who has cancer is pretty low.
We don’t care about KM.
It’s irrelevant ngl
Nobody knew what was going on then so we were looking for pol
@@okaycola2 does that make it ok?
“A cash grab to repackage trauma and sell it back to the ones who were traumatized.” Omg yes.
Now that I think about it, Blake’s hair always looks messy and fried. Why would anyone follow her hair care routine
Straw hair. Gross
It's dyed, right? No idea if she's a natural blonde or not, but I get the feeling that she's banking on the COLOUR of her hair to sell the haircare products instead of the STATE of it.
Seems on brand for someone who got married on a plantation...
Please give Maya Angelou credit for that amazing quote. And no, the damage is done.
