OMG! New subbie here, you're literally awesome. Thanks for the recipe :) I cant wait to try this at home and for my best friends baby shower. I couldn't find a single video with exact measurements so this was beyond helpful
I am so glad you enjoyed it! I hope yours turns out great!!! That reminds me of a tushy balm I made for a baby shower I went to recently. I should make a video of that formulation one of these days!
Hi so I was wondering can the preservative be added to the oils before adding into the sugar, and at what temperature should the oil be as I've seen videos saying that the preservative has to be added to a specific temperature. Wonderful presentation and I appreciate you sharing your recipe, thank you
No it needs to cool down before adding the preservative. Be sure to check your preservatives and all ingredients description to see what temperatures they work best at.
Hi Surzi it’s a KD-8000. I bought mine at makeyourown.buzz here is the link to the one I have. www.makeyourown.buzz/kd-8000-soapmakers-and-bakers-math-scale/
Hello, thank you so much for video. The video itself is great and the directions are clear and easy follow. However, I think that you are making a big batch of the whipped which for myself is a lot. Do you have recipe for a small batch so most of us can make it at home?
Hey! I wanted to add 2% alpha arbutin to my scrub. Can I dissolve it in a little bit of water and mix it in this recipe? Would the emulsifying wax bind the oils and water together and it already has the preservative in it so it should be okay. Right?
Thanks for your comment. As long as the plastic container is PET plastic the essential oils will be fine after being mixed with the carrier oils it’s less than 1% EO. I would not recommend storing undiluted essential oils in these types of containers. Essential oils should be sold in dark glass bottles for best storage.
By definition this would not be considered an emulsified product. The process of emulsification involves the mixing of two product that otherwise would not mix. Ie oil and water. The emulsification recipe would have 2 bowls in the water bath to heat and melt. One containing distilled water with veg glycerin glycerin or appropriate substitute. The second has your butters and oils. Melt both and then combine in single bowl and mix with an immersion blender for 3 to 5 mins at a time, waiting about 15 mins between ech time. Once the mix is below 115 to 120 you can add the preservative. Some preservatives may require a lower temp before adding, make sure to research. After this the base must sit till solid. Place solid base in mixer and whip on high till light and fluffy. Time to add surgar, I do a 1 to 1.5 or a 1 to 1.75 ratio of base to surgar. Example 500 grams of base needs 750 of surgar at a 1 to 1.5 or 875 of surgar at a 1 to 1.75 ratio. Not trying to steal thunder from anyone as there are a thousand ways to make this product, but thought I would drop this here for anyone who could use the info to help grow there business. Message me if you are looking for a more exact recipe.
Thanks. I guess I should call it an emulsifying sugar scrub as the product is it has an emulsifier in it and thus emulsifies once the scrub and water mix during use. Thank you for your recipe. I would love to see a tutorial on how you make this.
i have seen many vedios but you are the first u tuber who has given the proper measurements. thank you .all the best for your channel

You can reduce the size by 1/2 pretty easily and go from there. Thanks for your comments!
Hi! What can I add in place of the babassu and another type of emulsifying wax?
Hi, nice scrub. Do you keep them in the refrigerator to prevent them from melting down before selling?
My storage area in my basement stays cool year round so I don’t have to and I would not sell them online during the summer months. Hope that helps.
Good day, lovely scrub might I add, I have a question where did you purchase your babassu oil from?
Thanks for your comments! I linked all the suppliers in the description box. Have a wonderful day!
@@willowrosewellness4025 oh my I must have overlooked it thanks my dear 😊
What did u use to preserve it
Hello! Love your scrub recipe! Do you make your own labels or get them from somewhere?
I make them myself!
Please how do you make your label?
Do you have the recipe in percents so I can make a smaller batch? TFS
you could just half or quarter the ingredients
What does TFS mean?

I am not familiar with that ingredient. Good luck.
Which oil replace the babasu
I can find here!!!!!
You can use coconut oil!
@@willowrosewellness4025can you also use jojoba oil with the coconut oil?
So the heavy plastic doesn’t break down with this product, that’s good to know. I would have thought the essential oils would have.

Could olive oil be used as a substitute for the babasso?
Thank you
No, it would be better to substitute the babassu with coconut oil.
@@willowrosewellness4025 so 100 % coconut oil?

My ingredients are all vegan friendly.
What is the recipe in percentages please?
shelf life this scrub
