Glow in the Dark Yin Yang Soap

In this video I make a glow in the dark yin yang soap using my column mold from Brambleberry. I also use glow blue from Mad Micas to make the glow in the dark areas glow! It turned out pretty well but would recommend using a shorter PVC pipe or large used orange juice can instead next time!

Kiss Pour Challenge with my own rules!

I am not big on clubs, rules and submission deadlines but I was intrigued by the Soap Challenge Club and some of my favorite UA-camrs showing off their amazing skills with their entries for the contest. I decided instead of joining this year I would try out some of the techniques the Soap Challenge Club mentors show in their videos. This is my attempt at the kiss pour technique with my own twis...
Pink jasmine!! My favorite of all the jasmines 😊❤ I have a pink jasmine vine by our front door, I always pick some in the morning and bring them into the car with me. Definitely will be trying enfleurage with them when they bloom in January!
👍👍👍
Hi! I love your recipe ❤ can we substitute butters and oils such as the coconut oil ? Can this recipe be used as a lip scrub?Thank you 🙏
Does it not mold?
in the sun? doesnt the sun make the aroma less potent? you should cover it with something so the light doesnt touch it
Does this have lasting power ?
Si lo tiene .Dura años siempre
This is not enfleurage. It's an oil extract (oleato).
Correct. Still lovely results but not enfleurage.
I loved this video because you not only added the recipe but, the price!
Curious as to what type of jasmine plant do you have? I’ve been looking for that type of plant but I don’t know the name
Could be either Common Jasmine, Jasminum Vahl or Downy Jasmine by the looks of it. The flowers seem bigger than my Tuscan Jasmine but I adore the scent of that one! So maybe go with Tuscan Jasmine.
This looks like pink jasmine, jasminum polyanthum. I have one in my front yard, it smells divine. Much sweeter and less harsh than star jasmine.
Hi! What can I add in place of the babassu and another type of emulsifying wax?
Aren't the flowers supposed to gave access to oxygen?
What did u use to preserve it
Hi so I was wondering can the preservative be added to the oils before adding into the sugar, and at what temperature should the oil be as I've seen videos saying that the preservative has to be added to a specific temperature. Wonderful presentation and I appreciate you sharing your recipe, thank you
No it needs to cool down before adding the preservative. Be sure to check your preservatives and all ingredients description to see what temperatures they work best at.
Thanks for sharing this video very beautiful
i have seen many vedios but you are the first u tuber who has given the proper measurements. thank you .all the best for your channel
You’re welcome! Thanks for following me. I hope to make more videos like this one in the future!
I had a fellow soaper in my area say that to me at an event. She looked down her nose at my soaps and said “see my husband and I believe soap is meant to be used, not stared at, that’s why we don’t do all that mess right there” as she pointed to my swirls and decorative tops. I had customers at my booth shopping at the time. I was so embarrassed. It was my first show and it made me feel like packing up and leaving. Thankfully I stayed. But that was very discouraging. Our soaps were very different and I had gone to her booth earlier in the day while I was taking my break and browsing, and looked at her things and they were plain but beautiful. I even made a purchase in support of her small business. Hers were goat milk soaps, mine are not. Hers are essential oils, mine are not. Anytime after that, if someone came to my booth looking for that kind of soap, I referred them to her booth. Yet she came to insult mine. Thankfully ppl came back to support me.
I am sorry there are people who feel the need to trash others in that way. There is room for all kinds of different creators. Some people love to get super detailed and are good at it. I lean towards bright pretty swirls and don’t have the skill or patience for highly detailed soap making. It’s ok to know what you prefer but also appreciate others and where their skills are. Thanks so much for watching and commenting! 💜 ❤️
@@willowrosewellness4025 you’re welcome and thank you too! I have the neons just wasn’t sure about using them. I have some different ideas. Your video encouraged me to just get on with it lol 🥰
is this a Vegan recipe???
My ingredients are all vegan friendly.
What kind of oil do you use
she used jojoba oil 🙌🏼
@@Julia-cp8jn o thank you
@@Julia-cp8jn isn't jojoba oil more like a wax? I wonder if i could use something else, like hazelnut oil
Beautiful design well done !! keep up the good work
Thank you so much.
Hello Willow, I was wondering if you directly apply the oil onto your skin or what is the process of creating a body lotion? Do you add any other cream etc? And how do you make the scent last longer? Is there something that can be put into the oil? Thank you lots for your help.
I have used it as an ingredient in my massage cream I make and use in my business. It works well and provides a subtle aroma.
Where do you get your containers from?
Can you do this recipe as a whipped emulsified sugar scrub?
Silence
shelf life this scrub
One year if all your ingredients are fresh.
Hello, thank you so much for video. The video itself is great and the directions are clear and easy follow. However, I think that you are making a big batch of the whipped which for myself is a lot. Do you have recipe for a small batch so most of us can make it at home?
You can reduce the size by 1/2 pretty easily and go from there. Thanks for your comments!
Thank you for sharing your recipe. Could olive oil be used as a substitute for the babasso? Thank you
No, it would be better to substitute the babassu with coconut oil.
@@willowrosewellness4025 so 100 % coconut oil?
Trying it now! Will let you know how it goes. By the way, if I use brown sugar, can I used this emulsifed scrub on the face?
Hey! I wanted to add 2% alpha arbutin to my scrub. Can I dissolve it in a little bit of water and mix it in this recipe? Would the emulsifying wax bind the oils and water together and it already has the preservative in it so it should be okay. Right?
I am not familiar with that ingredient. Good luck.
Hi, nice scrub. Do you keep them in the refrigerator to prevent them from melting down before selling?
My storage area in my basement stays cool year round so I don’t have to and I would not sell them online during the summer months. Hope that helps.
You are doing great I been watching all your video love what you are doing
Thank you so much! I am glad you like my videos!
What do you do so the soap doesn’t get soda ash?
I try to spray with alcohol and cover them during the CPOP. When they do get soda ash I rinse them with water and the ash goes away.
I love how they came out, you should do more videos about this, and teach us how to do it, thank you for you work,
Thank you! I definitely will try to do more like this!
Do you have the recipe in percents so I can make a smaller batch? TFS
you could just half or quarter the ingredients
What does TFS mean?
So the heavy plastic doesn’t break down with this product, that’s good to know. I would have thought the essential oils would have.
Thanks for your comment. As long as the plastic container is PET plastic the essential oils will be fine after being mixed with the carrier oils it’s less than 1% EO. I would not recommend storing undiluted essential oils in these types of containers. Essential oils should be sold in dark glass bottles for best storage.
Such a nice recipe. I bet the raspberry scent is going to feel amazing.
Thank you! It’s so good you will want to eat it, but it’s not edible!
What is the recipe in percentages please?
Good day, lovely scrub might I add, I have a question where did you purchase your babassu oil from?
Thanks for your comments! I linked all the suppliers in the description box. Have a wonderful day!
@@willowrosewellness4025 oh my I must have overlooked it thanks my dear 😊

I can not find here ...... it’s too an comun
Which oil replace the babasu I can find here!!!!!
You can use coconut oil!
@@willowrosewellness4025can you also use jojoba oil with the coconut oil?
By definition this would not be considered an emulsified product. The process of emulsification involves the mixing of two product that otherwise would not mix. Ie oil and water. The emulsification recipe would have 2 bowls in the water bath to heat and melt. One containing distilled water with veg glycerin glycerin or appropriate substitute. The second has your butters and oils. Melt both and then combine in single bowl and mix with an immersion blender for 3 to 5 mins at a time, waiting about 15 mins between ech time. Once the mix is below 115 to 120 you can add the preservative. Some preservatives may require a lower temp before adding, make sure to research. After this the base must sit till solid. Place solid base in mixer and whip on high till light and fluffy. Time to add surgar, I do a 1 to 1.5 or a 1 to 1.75 ratio of base to surgar. Example 500 grams of base needs 750 of surgar at a 1 to 1.5 or 875 of surgar at a 1 to 1.75 ratio. Not trying to steal thunder from anyone as there are a thousand ways to make this product, but thought I would drop this here for anyone who could use the info to help grow there business. Message me if you are looking for a more exact recipe.
Thanks. I guess I should call it an emulsifying sugar scrub as the product is it has an emulsifier in it and thus emulsifies once the scrub and water mix during use. Thank you for your recipe. I would love to see a tutorial on how you make this.
Hello can you give me the recipe please
I donot see any water listed in the ingredient list????? Are we talking about the same recipe as listed above?
