Hi I’m like super later coming to your page but I’d like to say thank you for explaining the measurements on the soap /sugar/oils etc….it was very appreciated and I just love the colors and the way it turned out ❤😊
I love the simplicity of this recipe. Out of curiousity, what'd you use for a preservative? does it not need one or did i miss it?? Beautiful scrub btw
Hun put the colors on the press and seal long ways not width like u did. Go longways that way I make each color a much longer and thinner row. It’s so much easier like that. Beautiful job!
Hi 1st I love this video everything about it. So much so that I tried the the recipe you did but I would like to know do you use a preservative and if so which one
I loved the video, it was so informative. Can you share how the fragrance oil ratio should be calculated? I won’t be making as much as you but I still want the scrub to be very fragrant. Thanks!
Love your video but I have a question... Although I LOVE the look of the nozzle you are using, when piping in with the star shaped nozzle it is definitely leaving quite a bit of air in the jar. How much ounces are you actually getting in that 8oz container? I know when I make these I can get a little over 5oz at the MOST and I fill it COMPLETELY TO THE TOP... and I use a round nozzle with hardly any gaps of air at all... Just curious about your "fluid ounces". Thank you!!
This video is wonderful actually my 3rd time watching it. I do have a question. When it comes to labeling the scrub & or butter is it like the weight of the jar itself and then the weight of the jar along with the product. I attempted to make this and it came out beautifully i used 4 oz jars but was concerned if I attempt sell how would I label correctly because when weighing with product and the jar its 4oz but only like 2.8 oz of product and I don’t want to cheat anyone you know. In my case it was body butter for that but I wanted to know for scrubs or if it’s just in general for skincare products 😂 i was like how do people keep the swirl when having to beat the jar down to create more product I figured I can try a different piping tip or make the swirl towards the top when almost full. I’m sorry so long any suggestions would definitely help
Hey ! Ive tried a similar formula and because the foaming soap base have water in it... the sugar disappear because of the water ! And the scub is less arsh ! Do you have a tricks
For my regular batch (16 oz recipe listed below) I can typically get a total of 4 jars (8 oz) filled, plus just a tiny bit extra that I will typically just add as extra, or I will sometimes make small samplers out of. If I’m feeling selfish I might even save it for myself 🤣 i could easily double my batch to make it easier on myself, but I don’t quite sell fast enough for that yet.
It seems my original question had disappeared. My original question was do you have the list of ingredient of the bath butter, as this is necessary when selling. Also do you add a preservative as that also is important because of wet hands going into the product. TIA
What is the difference between the Stephenson's cosmetic base my lid is white and blue yours is purple and white what is the difference I was told I could make sugar scrubs out of the one I have also
The base already has a preservative in it, and it’s not necessary to add any extra as we are not adding water to this product. You can always add extra preservative, but in my experience it’s not necessary or needed.
Also, can we add more oil or shea/mango butter to the formula and I wanted to add dried rose buds/green tea to mine, would I add them to the mixture when I add the sugar or earlier?
You can add an extra preservative when you add your liquids in, but remember the soap base already has a preservative in it. As for adding hard oils remember this is a wash off product, and adding such a hard oil may change the texture of the whole mixture. You may just have to experiment with it. I would suggest melting hard oils so that it incorporates fully and add it with the liquid oils possibly, but I haven’t ever experimented with hard oils in this recipe. Dried rose buds will likely eventually turn brown and look bad, if you want to add them maybe just try it as a decoration on top. I’ve never added green tea to this type of product so I can’t really give any advise to that. Have fun experimenting!
After making them. before selling do you refrigerate them or can stand room temperature. Also can I use grapeseed oil and vitamin E oil instead of coconut oil
I have tried this using 16oz but I dont get as many tubs as you do is this because I dont whisk it enough mine seems firmer also ty for sharing your video with us x
Yes! You need to whisk is for as long as possible. Using my kitchen aid going constantly I typically do it anywhere from 10-20 minutes, it can be a pain if you are whisking by hand, but it’s absolutely worth it in the end. It should have almost the consistency cool whip before coloring.
I made body butter for the first tonight and even with my fragrance oil my butter still has a oil/butter smell. It is more dominant than the fragrance itself is there a way to lessen the natural smell of the oils and butters?
It depends on which butters you have used. Cocoa butter for example will always change the scent of the fragrance. There really isn’t a way to get rid of or mask the more strongly scented butters. It’s hard to give advice without really know what it is that you used.
😂😂 I paused the video the moment I saw the “hardware” I kept telling myself I couldn’t be seeing that….That is perfect placement 😂 but your product is beautiful. YOU HAVE A NEW SUBSCRIBER 🤗
I haven’t found any neons that are approved for use outside of my CP soap (or crafts). I’d love to know what neons you’re using! I’d love to make neon scrubs.
It foams up way better than regular bar soap. You can skip the sugar and just add the other ingredients for a whipped shaving soap it lathers that good!
The containers were from wholesale supplies plus, and you can also get frangrance oils from them. I personally love bescented and New York scent for frangances. All links to the company’s mentioned should be in the description box!
I’ve shipped it in the summer out of Oklahoma in over 100 degree temps and haven’t had anyone complain, so I don’t think there are any problems with shipping 🤞😁
would it not be easier if u could get something to hold the jar in place so it dont move around when your piping , just make it easier on yourself and u would make a nicer cleaner job , just a tip x

Hi! Ive been following your recipe and absolutely LOVE IT! Quick question.... i want to make a cotton candy one but the "vanillan" (i think thats what its called) is at 4%, which means it would most likely discolor. I looked at the rainbow sherbet scent & the "vanillan" amount is over 10%, do you have any issues with discoloration of your product? Im scared to test the cotton candy, id hate to waste a whole batch if it turns brown :(
The rainbow sherbet that I use is from Nature’s Garden and only has 0.10% FO. However, it is likely that cotton candy would eventually discolor unfortunately!
The soap base already has a preservative in it. As I’m only adding 1 oz total of extras into it I don’t add one. You could always add it for extra measure, but I’ve been using this recipe for 3 years now, and I actually still am using one of my first batches made for testing purposes and it’s still perfect almost 3 years later!
Certain fragrance oils can make it less firm. When this happens I just add more whipped soap and more sugar (if you add 4-5 oz of soap add the same amount of sugar) that should help!
Hey homey u left a ding dong on the top shelf 🤣🤣🤣🤣

It's the weight of the product only. If you're in the US, the weight must be listed in oz and g
put down a towel or a silicone mat and your jar wont move when piping the whip into them
How long can they last in these jars? Do they stay long without melting? Can you add any preservatives?
These are perfect!😍 I can’t seem to get that thick consistency mine is a tad bit loose which causes my colors to sink into each other!😩🥴
Use more wax n hard butters
Whip it for 10 mins.
Do you add a preservative because it is going to be used around water? I've read that, but don't know which to use. Thanks for sharing your knowledge.
You want a preservative that is a wide base one. I personally use phenonip because of it being a wide base that covers for mold and bacteria.
In one of her comments she stated the base has a perservative

The base has a preservative in it, so it’s good for approximately 1 year! Doesn’t need to be refrigerated 😁
How much fragrance oil do you add it says 40 to 60 oz at 2 % but that works out a lot of the total of other ingredients you added.
Where are the bags and tips from ? As well as the sticky paper
