I was actually coming down to the comment section to comment this everyone’s like oh my goodness I can’t believe she says that, etc. but you have to remember when you grow up with someone that’s abusive you do get a sense of attachment to them. I think it's worth also seeing it as Jojo potentially being another victim in Colleen's case who hasn't yet felt brave enough to go against her. I feel like we're potentially victim blaming Jojo for defending Colleen where in reality I think the right thing would be the encourage her to get out of this creepy situation and for lack of a better word conspire against the alleged abuser. I mean yes Jojo is also victim blaming the victims but still, she's still technically a victim herself who needs to realize that the person she's defending isn't this great person she sees her as.

My father was extremely abusive and even attempted to unalive me when I was 7 and even with proof years after my older sister looked me in the eyes and told me I was lying. Years later after she moved out and started therapy she realized he was also abusing her. It’s more complicated then just black and white sometimes you don’t know till you’re out.

Bingo! However, being a victim doesn't absolve her from calling other victims, with MOUNTAINS of evidence, liars. I feel like that's important to add. She owes them all apologies. I feel she's a bit developmently arrested due to the fact her own mom, and Abby, and many other adults, have exploited, groomed, and taken advantage of her in the spot light well b4 she was 12. So unlike the other victims who in their young 20s, and even older teens have realized they were victims, she likely won't realize it until she's in her late 20s early 30s. Which is unfortunate.

This is what happens when your parents pedal you out to predators. Its normal to her that adults hang around kids, that's what she grew up with. That's not a defense, but a reason as to why she's so blind. I really hope she sees through this before she follows in the same footsteps.

I feel bad for Jojo, probably denying it, but I went through this just recently with a piano teacher, depicting himself as a good person, just messing around, but growing up, and him getting arrested just 3 months ago I still realised that he’s a nonse and a despicable human being.
She owes it to her mostly child audience to educate herself about everything. She can’t act naive about this when there is solid evidence from years of vile behavior. This isn’t petty internet drama this could put Coleen in prison, especially sending porn to kids. I’m disappointed in JoJo.

- She went to jail for around 8months in 2017 for fraud, in between dance moms series'.
- Dance moms finished in 2019 but ALDC is still open and competing with Abby teaching zoom dance classes (that might have just been during covid, I'm not sure).
- Abby now has a UA-cam channel where she critiques dance-related shows and dance moms clips. She also started a podcast about BTS of dance moms
- Abby and jojo are still friends, with jojo being one of the only girls still maintaining a friendship with Abby.

Jojo is unfortunately a really good example of someone who has been successfully groomed. I feel bad for her but she is living proof of the damage that people like Colleen has done. And now the damage will continue to spread because there are bound to be people in Jojo's audience that will listen to her.

i think since jojos an adult now, it’s gotten to a point where you cannot defend what she does, but you can also understand why she is the way she is. like alex said, jojo has been horribly wronged by the adults in her life. her mother has been exploiting her since she was a baby, she was on a reality show where a grown ass woman would hurl the most disgusting vitriol at her, and everyone around her is super toxic atm. i feel like it’s gotten to a point where she’s been conditioned to think that this kind of behaviour is ok, and to always stick up for the people she knows no matter what they’ve done. she did the same thing with abby. whenever the other girls or moms (christi and brooke are prime examples) off of dance moms opened up about their remaining trauma after the show, jojo jumped down their throats defending abby, even though there is solid proof of the absolutely inexcusable things she’s done. i feel like jojo has wrapped herself into this bubble where she doesn’t want to believe that the people in her life used, abused and exploited her, because it would be too painful to come to that conclusion. even so, i hope that she realizes someday, and surrounds herself with better people so that she can properly heal
Being a legal adult doesn’t automatically make you mature. It doesn’t mean you truly understand. It doesn’t mean you still don’t have a shit ton to learn and grow from. I do defend her actions not as a fan either because I’m not. But because she’s been clearly groomed by Colleen. She’s been around her since before she was a teen. She doesn’t want those memories tarnished. Colleen inspired her to even start up UA-cam which has in her mind done so much good for her life and been a big piece of getting her where she is today. That’s hard to realize your inspiration online and in person is a bad person who preys on children. She’s young enough that it’s understandable she doesn’t get it and it makes sense she’s defending her. She shouldn’t be but I get it. I don’t blame her.

If I’m honest I’m not surprised since most victims will defend the people who have abused them in the beginning. It’s a heinous cycle that has been categorized as a form of addiction. For abusive relationships you get addicted to the highs and lows and become dependent on the rare occasions where they’ll love bomb you to take you out of hell for that brief moment before beating you down even more than before. If she has been groomed for so many years she is likely so brainwashed that she may not even realize what she has experienced and that she is a victim. A lot of people are dogging on her but as a victim of horrendous abuse I feel some compassion from the viewpoint of being trauma bonded to such a vile person.

A lot of his current content draws attention to people who display inappropriate behaviour towards vulnerable people.
He's using his power of influence to educate his audience about the behaviours and put the weirdos on show with no sugar coating or avoidance.
I think it's incredibly useful, and may prevent more young people becoming victims of these blatant criminals.
I really really appreciate the direction this channel has come. Potentially without realising Alex is actively protecting children and young people. Thankyou Alex!!

I can't help but not totally blame Jojo for defending Colleen. Reason being partly because she's friends with Colleen but also I personally kinda see Jojo as potentially one of the victims of Colleen's case. Colleen has seen Jojo as a friend since Jojo was a teen. A MINOR teen and even though she isn't technically a minor as of this year or a couple years ago, I feel like she's still in the mindset that Colleen is a good person who couldn't possibly do anything bad. In other words, she's a victim who is still under the villain's control and because Colleen allegedly hasn't done anything bad to Jojo, Jojo believes she's a good person as with James Charles. I guess we can only hope Jojo can someday be faced with the real reality of the situations and learn the severity of their actions.
All in all, I think that was a word vomit way of saying that Jojo is being manipulated and has been since she was a child and she's one of the victims who hasn't broken free yet.

My theory is that Jojo has not really looked into the claims because she is loyal to Colleen, and that Colleen is her number one source of information on this. I also think that she was caught off guard. She should have asked to not be asked about Colleen, because you can tell that she was extremely uncomfortable and she had not planned on what to say. In fact, she should have said "Howie, I do not want to talk about this."
