Her biggest mistake as Alex said was reacting. The only way to beat a troll is ignore them.
Yewh, don t feed trolls and they ll back down.
@@abbyrivers9971 indeed… starve their oxygen…. their troll oxygen is the reaction… no reaction they are done.
😁
It depends on the kind of troll, but I'd normally disagree. A proper clap back could be enough. A dumb asf clap back digs your grave deeper.
Although... if you've got the time. Mess with them and tell them you love them and tell them about your day. They either block you or get angrier about your existence.
They dont deserve the hate. They're wholesome, naive, and in love. BUT you're right, Alex, anything that goes on the internet is open to bored trolls. Some cute couple things should just be kept private, we don't all need to see it. I'm happily engaged and in love, but their videos are cringe 😂
You're not happily in love unless you post a video like this.
Not gonna lie- forcing the audience to participate in her love surge was a great comeback.
The way she talks about the "love surge" sounds like an akward parent trying to have the birds and the bees talk with their kid without using the words "penis" or "vagina"
On point 100%
The hate you get when you post something online that irritates people for some reason is the reason I never ever want to share my life online.
Imagine if the only pleasure you got in life was from tormenting others. Weird.
My boyfriend showed me their video maybe a week ago and it made me so uncomfortable and I'm not sure why lol. We're very much a physically affectionate couple but it was just so cringe. I got upset with him for showing it to me then he chased me around trying to "love surge" me to upset me more lol
for me its the way the guy just stares at you in the beginning and starts shaking 😭 idk why but it’s unsettling, idc what they do but maybe dont post everything
Hahahaha
Seriously!!! It made me uncomfortable as crap too. I didn’t like it. Maybe my childhood trauma is the reason, but yeah, I thought I was the only one.
for the most part they are wholesome and genuinely seem to care for each other. HOWEVER, the infantile nature of his "love surge" definitely gives a bit of the ick. Maybe it's something that should have been kept between them as a couple. Not everything needs to be shared online. They don't deserve all the hate tho, not at all.
I agree! By posting it online, they also ruined the special nature of their private moment. I can guarantee their "love surge" does not feel wholesome and beautiful anymore, and is now filled with cringe and bad memories from the negative comments.
the only thing that bothers me is the scarily ubiquitous desire for other people’s attention. yes, their manifestations of affection are cute. but they’re broadcasted like an online reality show. they choose to take out the phone and film their private and intimate moments, possibly, with multiple takes. and there are many like them on the Internet. l may sound like a boomer but i miss when people did not all live in the Truman show 📸📹
I do wish, as a society, that people didn’t think it was ok to talk to each other like this. It’s crazy. You’re totally right, they’ve got a screw loose.
The love surge caused a toxic cringe surge.
They definitely don't deserve that to get bullied online for for something as harmless and insufferable cute as this.
At the same time, some things are worth being put in a private forum for people you know and can appreciate.
Because the same thing hurled onto a platform where millions of strangers can view it and comment, that's a massive box of chocolates where people can just throw in a turd.
Yea... It's the broadcasting for me that made this moment cringy. If I accidentally stumbled on a couple doing this in their kitchen or something (say... At a house party perchance) I'd be overwhelmed with how adorable it is. Unfortunately, posting anything online feels fake and attention-seeking.
The original video made me uncomfortable for some reason, but I just scrolled on and carried on with my day. I don’t understand the level of hate they got just for posting something they thought was happy, but such is the internet.
This kind of event has convinced me that parasocial relationships on social media are a two way street. They saw The Audience as a friend of sorts and now that “friend” has turned on them
Bingo!! There's a term for what you described, but I can't remember it I haven't taken a psychology class in at least 5 years
2:43 He’s shaking with the electricity of love Alex, gosh
Literally same thought hahah
It’s so weird that we as society normalize horrible and abusive comments online. People are expected to just get over it or get used to it
An example of someone who was just too pure for the internet
Are we just all jealous because we haven’t experienced the love surge 🤣
Um....no.
It's ridiculous people can channel so much energy to hate on this couple. They aren't hurting anyone. They are just trying to be adorable quirky and share their love. It's a bit cringey but they don't deserve the hate.
As much as I find 'cringey' things unbearable, I think that that's got more to say about what is going on with me and I am starting to try and unpack stuff like that.
Cringe
lol@@swiftset
I work in marketing so I'm biased when I say this but the problem with most social media influencers is that they don't interact with PR and marketing people before doing anything. Even to just have a quick consultation with someone who specialises in this stuff would include 'don't feed the trolls' which is the only thing she did wrong. They're cute and happy and should not have let the sad, lonely weirdos on the internet get them down, and one chat with a PR or marketing person would have told them that the best response was probably a video of them just vibing some more.
(i'm only 3 minutes into the video, but) No, but the "love surge" thing IS pretty cute. it's their cringy little inside joke. and it's FINE. it's LOVELY that they have their own thing, that allows them to show affection towards each other in a playful way. their only mistake was posting it online, because apparently everything has to be for everyone to see nowadays, otherwise it's not real or valuable. 🙃
EXACTLY
Yes inside joke, not two grown adults pretending to have an epileptic episode
The joys of being single.
I think the reason we all pretty much 'dislike' their content is because it's just *a lot*. We all do silly things with the people we love, and behind closed doors we are typically more lovey-dovey than people would think. But the reason we struggle seeing it so full on and in the open (like these people's TikTok's) is because it is normally a very personal, private thing. It's like bonding, which is normally kept just between you and the other person (or people). Which makes seeing it so... public, kind of uncomfortable, because we almost imagine doing that ourselves and go AHHHH, FUCK NO. WOULD RATHER D!E.
But these two people seem very happy and in love. And as a British person, I am not quite used to seeing it XD. So, while I would never leave hateful comments because for fuck's sake, people are unhappy enough without me adding to it (and I don't have TikTok, because holy shit I am close enough to instability), I definitely wouldn't choose to watch their... surges.
That explains it! It’s essentially a public display of close physical affection, which is very taboo
so you care way to much about what other people think.. If i want to act like this with my husband i do it public i have no issues doing so you dont like it look the other way. no should have to hide how they feel about there partner just cause makes you uncomfortable i could careless how any one feels. so you keep your love so closed up in a bottle why be with you>>> i fyou can show effection in public that says a lot about you as a person, the fact the world sucks and most people dont know what love is or haveing fun with every one being offend is reallly sad. let them do there thing they are not hurting any one
I don’t have a problem with non-obnoxious, respectful PDA. This is cringe to me because they look like they’re deliberately performing something they don’t really do to get social media attention, and acting like we’re supposed to be impressed or inspired by them as couple goals.
@@swiftset What are you talking about? This very clearly is a cute innocent couple thing
I didn’t like it because it was too performative. It didn’t seem genuine or spontaneous at all. It was totally innocent though. I just went “oh that’s pretty cringe” and then went on with my day.
People just hate to see others happy. A lot of incredibly rotten, nasty, garbage human beings on the internet. Death threats and hate towards them for being a bit goofy but obviously in love? JFC
Nobody deserves the toxicity that spews from the recesses of the internet. A lot of empty people out there who are awful towards everyone and wondering why they aren't liked or loved. It's never okay to tell people to self delete. Never.
People become bold and 180° from their normal selves when online, especially when they are bored, angry, lonely, drunk, etc... There is anonymity and zero consequences, so trolls lash out and feel powerful when they post brash, controversial comments.
personally i dont get why everyone's mad though, like they've been getting death threats.
I don’t think people are genuinely mad at this. I’ve noticed that people send death threats whenever they can. Twisted people just see it as another way to troll/bully at this point, like they somehow don’t realize that death threats are a lot more serious than the typical troll/bully comments 😅
@@BbiBbii yeah, sending death threats is not an anger reaction or anything, super chill
@@ember9361 Reread my comment. I’m saying no one is GENUINELY mad, there is nothing to be mad at here. I’m saying certain types of trolls became desensitized to death threats & send them for every little thing they see not fully realizing how demented it is. I’ve been believing that for awhile now, that because people can be 100% anonymous online they do things they know are bad but don’t care since it won’t have any major repercussion most times.
It’s kind of similar to something people in my country do. For any little inconvenience it’s common for someone to say they’ll kill themselves/others over it. For example, someone stubs their toe? They’ll groan and say they wanna die. A friend makes a lil jab as a joke? They’ll say they’ll kill that friend while laughing along with them. Of course we think it’s nothing serious because we’ve become desensitized to it, but if I know from experience that foreigners get quite concerned because to anyone else that is pretty alarming to hear as a joke/sarcasm.
That’s were people in my culture and the desensitized trolls differ. We still know it’s shocking to others outside our culture so we don’t do it around them. Those trolls however don’t care about that because they’re anonymous online, meaning they’ll never face any serious backlash.
@@ember9361The point is that they aren’t genuinely mad. They like sending death threats and seeing someone being cute online is enough excuse
I love how you change the topic every video, I like to predict what you're gonna make the video about haha
You know it's a good day when Alex uploads 🔥
It's very sweet that they're so in love and it's completely ok to keep such things to yourself. Remember that. PLEASE remember that.
Everyone who thinks their video was bad is miserable and should never leave their house and disconnect their internet/phone so they don't spread their misery in the world. Idc what your background is. Idc idc idc. I had a miserable childhood with absolutely no love in my home and still I'm not a miserable waste of space who thinks that's a good reason to hate on someone for something that is not hurting literally anyone.
And before anyone idiot says "but it's just because it's fake that's why we hate it" 1. you don't know them irl. You have no way of gauging their sincerity. 2. The internet is full of fake shit that doesn't get half the hate this did.
@@calicoathena As someone else with a traumatic childhood, I also think this is absolutely ridiculous. Yes, it is rather immature seeming, but if they are happy who really cares.
My family is very NOT physically affectionate. I still can see that this is cute and innocent
@@cjboyo Dude same. Like, I'll get a hug from one of my parents if I'm really feeling down and just need the physical comfort but other than that we don't tend to do physical affection. (Ironically my love language is physical affection)
The "love surge" video was adorable, and the couple is adorable (from other videos I've seen). Super wholesome and innocent, honestly. Some people just love to hate.
The fact people who post cringey stuff online get death threats is so bad. You can make jokes and tell them to delete it or stop posting cringey shit by all means, but telling someone to take their own life is way too far
I think it's more and more of a "risk" to post private things like this. It's like every troll reverts back to school bully days and if you don't have thick skin, it can be devastating to see all of the negative comments.
Your reactions were the best part of watching this.
Well done Alice... 😂
Alex deserved that after punching 🐵!!!
LMAOO the rant about the wasps and the bees 😂😂😂
I felt uncomfortable when i first saw it. However. If you engage with trolls they carry on. I went viral once about how to fix mould and some cretics tried to contact my work over it!! It’s a horrible thing the internet sometimes
You can’t disrespect David Attenborough like that
My day is also so ruined by that surge of love. Damn…they ruined love dude.
Love watching your vids stoned to bits ☺️
Same here! 😊
Real
Not every single interaction needs to be put online 🤔. Not that I agree with bullying them.
Just because you find something cringe doesn't suddenly entitle you to bully someone over it. Jesus, people suck.
How is wishing DV on someone ‘understandable’?
I guess it's a dark 'joke' but jesuuuuuuuus christ is that NOT funny. /:
He’s junk is NOT contained. You can see it jiggle. It’s subtle, but wrong. Keep junk in your own trunk!
Nah that's not ok. Imagine if you said that about a woman's breasts. Don't shame anyone's body.
@@LizzieLizzieLizzieLizzieits about his thing...
@@MissRecarnated His 'thing' is part of his body. It's not a separate entity....
Lizzie if you want to see 'things' shaking in the wind that's fine, but some of us think it's cringe af 😂
@@JNB520 I don't objectify people's bodies and I don't refer to them as cringe. I don't understand why you're saying this to me?
It’s a good day when Alex uploads 🥰
Well, I thought my hubby and I were cringy but this has demonstrated that we’re positively boring as sh*t
Troll the trolls and tell them you love them and wanna be friends. 😅😂 its a 10/10 experience no matter which way it goes from there
I know it was in jest but if anyone ever does need to recognise a stroke:
One of the Acronyms is B.E F.A.S.T
B = Balance loss
E = Eyesight changes
F = Face drooping
A = Arm Weakness
S = Speech Difficulty
T = Time to get some fucking help immediately
They're so cute! Aww. I hope they have all the happiness, joy, and success in their lives and are always this happy.
Best thing to do if you are labelled cringe in double down, show you don't gaf
The thing with "wholesome" is that the acceptable wholesome is casual and natural, candid little events that happen out of nothing.
Yea, this feels... Scripted
Legit spat my drink at the David Attenborough bit 😂
was gonna get merch for my birthday but i didn't drop in time, i expect free socks. i will be contacting your support team.
I think they were just really stoned 😅
I think so too 🤣 I feel bad for them because “love surge” is something stupid my husband and I would probably do behind closed doors. We have a lot of dumb, inside jokes, that many would cringe at.
I don't want to sound rude but has she never been on the internet before? Like... has she had such a charmed life that some mean internet comments couldn't just be ignored?
Before watching, guessing it’s deffo the love surge couple. Edit: lol that was easy
Sir David Attenborough is going to get you (he’s tougher than he looks)
Cute and wholesome ep! I love you got to experience a love surge ❤😂
I flinched away from the screen when Alex did the love surge
Some things should just be kept private. We live in a time where people think EVERYTHING needs to be recorded and posted publicly. They are what? 30 something years old acting like middle school children the public is going to cringe. But it’s crazy people feel the need to wish harm or bad will on a person. See something you think is cringey just scroll, block, damn you’re responsible for your own FYP people!
yeah, dont ever admit they get to you. as much as you think they'd feel bad about it, they really wont and theyll continue
Hi Alex, love you! From one of your fans in the US 💕
I was unsubscribed i followed you years ago and was a constant watcher of your content so u definitely dont make that up lol
So glad i found you again!
Be cringe in the privacy of your own home. Do not post it online for clicks unless youre ready to be called cringe to no end.
I’m crawling out of my skin 😂 please nooo
Omgosh, that's so sad. This broke my ❤️
4:23 🤣🤣🤣 love surge
Finally some fire YT merch !!
30 seconds in…. I’m so uncomfortable already 😅
I might just be miserable 😭🤣 had me howling lol.
I've gotta start ordering ur clothes . Cause I live in the middle of nowhere it's not like I can go to the mall ahaha
I LOVE THE VIDS DUDE
I have sensory issues around socks but I’d put up with the discomfort for them
This might be odd but I have sensory issues with socks too and I was wondering if anyone had any idea how to get around it since socks are sometimes unavoidable
I do not know how to help with that but I see you and I understand. I’m sorry I can’t help.
@@friendlyneigborhoodbeanfor me, I just wore them every single day to eventually get use to them, I also threw away every sock that had a prominent line or corner-edge
I have a sensory issue like this, but the opposite, I can't stand NOT wearing socks 😂 help
@@friendlyneigborhoodbeanI just wear them inside out
The love surge at the end 😂😅
It's just super cringey and jarring like you said Alex. I hate those two words together now
Wtf was that? Moments ago I was so happy to see a new Alex video and then what?! I think I’ll focus on the merch, need a moment.
I thought the imna love surge you i hope i ruined ur day
Was hilarious
Lmao
ready for the launch!!!
Alex, I could swear I saw you smiling mistily at some of those videos
Love ur videos :)
I feel like one of the reasons these things so uncomfy to watch sometimes is cause theyre so genuine and intimate that its like you're intruding on them?
I don't know, for me they (PDA tik tokers) including these two mostly feel theatrical and ungenuine whenever they post their couple things but idk
proudly apart of the broadcast channel💪
Perfect marriage ?? Omg! I don’t think so, that’s weird and creepy !
Man she prepared for a fire. She wears PJs to bed ahaha. Like the literal suit style PJs to aha
The love surge at the end😂
When's the clothing line coming out again Alex ?😭
The first video he reminds me of a mental patient but who knows it’s weird like most things on TikTok.
love surge ? NO ! love SPLURG " SOOOO much love was SPLURGED "
Dude got the zoomies lol
Bad move to let a bully know they won
Why did u make me watch that twice
I love your channel ❤️ you are the only reaction channel I like as all the others seem like just trolls with a UA-cam page 😡👍
I hope they capatlisise on this and make bank
People are cruel, sadly they project their misery onto others. I personally would not be sharing my whole life with the rest of the world and opening myself up to this kind of abuse.
No cuz I’ve proper saved up for this Merch im so exited
Leave this poor woman alone 💀
Omg you should recreate it with your girlfriend haha would be hilarious
UA-cam does unsub people. It happens to me. So yeah, to anyone that says they’re lying… no lmao
Poor David is at home catching strays from Alex ☠️
They are what looks to be a middle aged couple acting like teenagers. It’s just completely cringey, but not anything that deserves hate, maybe a bit of disdain though.
That ended awesome.
WHAT? Love surge remorse. It happens.
