They dont deserve the hate. They're wholesome, naive, and in love. BUT you're right, Alex, anything that goes on the internet is open to bored trolls. Some cute couple things should just be kept private, we don't all need to see it. I'm happily engaged and in love, but their videos are cringe 😂

for the most part they are wholesome and genuinely seem to care for each other. HOWEVER, the infantile nature of his "love surge" definitely gives a bit of the ick. Maybe it's something that should have been kept between them as a couple. Not everything needs to be shared online. They don't deserve all the hate tho, not at all.

I agree! By posting it online, they also ruined the special nature of their private moment. I can guarantee their "love surge" does not feel wholesome and beautiful anymore, and is now filled with cringe and bad memories from the negative comments.

  • @umustwin

the only thing that bothers me is the scarily ubiquitous desire for other people’s attention. yes, their manifestations of affection are cute. but they’re broadcasted like an online reality show. they choose to take out the phone and film their private and intimate moments, possibly, with multiple takes. and there are many like them on the Internet. l may sound like a boomer but i miss when people did not all live in the Truman show 📸📹

The love surge caused a toxic cringe surge.
They definitely don't deserve that to get bullied online for for something as harmless and insufferable cute as this.
At the same time, some things are worth being put in a private forum for people you know and can appreciate.
Because the same thing hurled onto a platform where millions of strangers can view it and comment, that's a massive box of chocolates where people can just throw in a turd.

    • @absolutelyridiculous6743

At a house party perchance) I'd be overwhelmed with how adorable it is. Unfortunately, posting anything online feels fake and attention-seeking.

I work in marketing so I'm biased when I say this but the problem with most social media influencers is that they don't interact with PR and marketing people before doing anything. Even to just have a quick consultation with someone who specialises in this stuff would include 'don't feed the trolls' which is the only thing she did wrong. They're cute and happy and should not have let the sad, lonely weirdos on the internet get them down, and one chat with a PR or marketing person would have told them that the best response was probably a video of them just vibing some more.

  • @xstarsystemsx

(i'm only 3 minutes into the video, but) No, but the "love surge" thing IS pretty cute. it's their cringy little inside joke. and it's FINE. it's LOVELY that they have their own thing, that allows them to show affection towards each other in a playful way. their only mistake was posting it online, because apparently everything has to be for everyone to see nowadays, otherwise it's not real or valuable. 🙃

I think the reason we all pretty much 'dislike' their content is because it's just *a lot*. We all do silly things with the people we love, and behind closed doors we are typically more lovey-dovey than people would think. But the reason we struggle seeing it so full on and in the open (like these people's TikTok's) is because it is normally a very personal, private thing. It's like bonding, which is normally kept just between you and the other person (or people). Which makes seeing it so... public, kind of uncomfortable, because we almost imagine doing that ourselves and go AHHHH, FUCK NO. WOULD RATHER D!E.
But these two people seem very happy and in love. And as a British person, I am not quite used to seeing it XD. So, while I would never leave hateful comments because for fuck's sake, people are unhappy enough without me adding to it (and I don't have TikTok, because holy shit I am close enough to instability), I definitely wouldn't choose to watch their... surges.

    • @cjboyo

People just hate to see others happy. A lot of incredibly rotten, nasty, garbage human beings on the internet. Death threats and hate towards them for being a bit goofy but obviously in love? JFC
Nobody deserves the toxicity that spews from the recesses of the internet. A lot of empty people out there who are awful towards everyone and wondering why they aren't liked or loved. It's never okay to tell people to self delete. Never.

People become bold and 180° from their normal selves when online, especially when they are bored, angry, lonely, drunk, etc... There is anonymity and zero consequences, so trolls lash out and feel powerful when they post brash, controversial comments.

I don’t think people are genuinely mad at this. I’ve noticed that people send death threats whenever they can. @@ember9361 Reread my comment. I’m saying no one is GENUINELY mad, there is nothing to be mad at here. I’m saying certain types of trolls became desensitized to death threats & send them for every little thing they see not fully realizing how demented it is. I’ve been believing that for awhile now, that because people can be 100% anonymous online they do things they know are bad but don’t care since it won’t have any major repercussion most times.
It’s kind of similar to something people in my country do. For any little inconvenience it’s common for someone to say they’ll kill themselves/others over it. For example, someone stubs their toe? They’ll groan and say they wanna die. A friend makes a lil jab as a joke? They’ll say they’ll kill that friend while laughing along with them. Of course we think it’s nothing serious because we’ve become desensitized to it, but if I know from experience that foreigners get quite concerned because to anyone else that is pretty alarming to hear as a joke/sarcasm.
That’s were people in my culture and the desensitized trolls differ. We still know it’s shocking to others outside our culture so we don’t do it around them. Those trolls however don’t care about that because they’re anonymous online, meaning they’ll never face any serious backlash.
