I made the mistake of watching her new music video and it made me feel so gross watching a 14-15 yr old dance the way she was. The song itself isnt bad, just who thought it was ok to sexualize her as heavily as they are. Both parents are being the problem here.

Edit: I'm also a victim of SA, and domestic abuse, and and I'm glad she can finally be open about what she went thru. She is literally living my worst nightmare because I'm also an Asian and it's truly disgusting what her dad did.
My parents did that horror movie shit to me as a kid too!! I know it sounds very unserious but my mom held my eyes open for silent hill when i was 7 and it was definitely traumatizing. I honestly never heard of another person with that experience before

I have trouble really trusting any information out of this situation considering it really looks like both parents are lying about each other and manipulating her to share their lies. I’m not going to pretend to know what her dad had intended if he just wanted that money that was already made then to stop her… if he only wanted money he could’ve kept letting her live but the court showing the food from school and the lack of child support (plus her mother’s job allowed access to her video content) so yeah I believe he was just a piece sh!t and god knows what they would’ve done with the kids after more time had passed. She’s too young for her sexualization in the new video but is a good musician… hope she can process it and eventually get away from everyone who is exploiting her

After all the fake stuff coming out from her and surrounding her, its rather hard to believe that any or all of this is true. Why? Because all of the "fame" she has had, has come from absurd lies and falsehoods, including the death hoax. Receipts can be faked, unfortunately, so there's not a lot of validity for being evidence of what she's claiming.

This is what I was hoping the internet would be able to do- I’m so sorry for what happened and is happening-I am just grateful that for some kids who may be in need they can -find out this is not okay-and start to take any action to help themselves out of pit of despair that being in the grips of abusive caregiver who have control of your life- this is gross beyond belief for sure and a very strange situation in the first place but I’m glad for her she’s angry hopefully she’ll find more peace in her future🎉…at least it’s out there for her now…and kids don’t forget so people can get their selves together if they’re a abusive freak like this…everything will come back eventually ❤

I literally do not trust the word of a single person involved in this entire situation very much so including Lil Tay. They are all extremely unreliable narrators. So until I see vetted evidence I'm not prepared to believe anyone claims one way or another. I think everyone involved is manipulative, a liar, and hungry for fame and money. The mom, the dad, the brother, and Lil Tay herself. It's all a game to them. Now, regardless of who is lying, she is still a victim (even if she's lying through her teeth) She's been exploited for years and is still being exploited even if she is actively participating. Every word she says could be a total lie and she wouldn't mean she's not a victim of the adults in her life, but on the flip side just because she is factually a victim doesn't mean she's being honest either. There isn't a reliable narrator in the bunch. We have absolutely no idea what is really happening here.
For instance the bed thing is she saying they were in the bed with her or actually doing it in the bed with her she says everything so vague so you can't tell

I believe her and her being a minor, regardless of how people feel about her internet persona (one her brother pushed her to have). Her father sounds like trash, a selfish abuser, a hypocrite, and I think people should consider her story and that she is a victim of being manipulated and used, but she says her mother did support her most, so we should believe her. she doesn't even want to use the name her father calls her but instead her Asian name instead, so I believe he must have been that bad. Good she has receipts to show too and her new music video does slap. I think she deserves at least another chance to define herself.

She has proof, though. She has clearly spoken to police about it. And I speak from experience when I tell you things like this happen without cps getting involved or even caring if they do. Besides that, parents can make it seem like nothing is going on just for CPS visits. CPS has to be called in the first place, which a lot of these kids dont do because all they know is abuse and they dont see anything wrong with it. My fridge was only full when cps came to visit.
Look at the 8 passengers case even. Those kids were abused for years before anyone found out. This type of abuse is not uncommon and its extremely apathetic to say it "makes no sense" when this abuse happens all the time.

I am old now, but abus* , when you're a child, it never leaves you. It permeates your life in ways you never knew it could. There is only so long it will stay in your subconscious. I now scream in my sleep. Which is embarrassing and nuts. But my nightmares play out the trauma I denied and thought I'd dealt with years ago. Only now can I talk honestly about it without guilt, shame and fear. It took over half my life to reach that point. I now feel compassion for the little girl I was, and sadness, for a life damaged by vile cretins

I also find it incredibly puzzling that so many people believe everything she is claiming without providing proof and if she provides proof it isn’t very reliable proof. This seems to be a very messy divorce and a case of parental alienation. It is easy to show many inconsistencies in her story. She claims that her father only became part of her life when she got famous but also claims that she was being physically abused (in the picture she appears to be much younger than 9/10 years old), that her father regularly had different Asian women coming to their home and she witnessed sexually inappropriate interactions, her father and his partner were packing her school lunch so was involved in her life, etc. She also claims he was in her life to steal her money but the mother was the one who had to resign from her job before she got fired (her boss was interviewed about discovering the use of clients’s homes and the use of his cars) and the brother seems to be the one who created the lil Tay persona, who writes her music, directs her videos, etc. Her father doesn’t seem to be involved in her career and fought to keep her offline and we hadn’t heard from her for around 5 years so he doesn’t seem to be benefitting financially but the brother and mother seem to be financially dependent on the lil Tay persona.
It sounds like the character she was playing was even more offensive to her as a child than it was for her audience..

I don’t get how some commentary channels (not Alex) see this live stream video and all they say is “oh lil tay is back at clout chasing” she makes serious claims in this video. she did get a lot of hate…for being a kid or product of her environment. A literal child was being used and instead of calling out the parents, they were hating on a KID. And all they have to comment on is… clout chasing and flexing and the way she looks in the live… wild. I mean, is this actually proof that her dad was abusive, or are these things manufactured to make her dad look bad because he took her off the internet to protect her from exploitation? If he wanted to make money off of her, then he would never have kept her off the internet. Since she's lied about that, the rest is hard to believe. I don't think she's the one who came up with all of this; it reeks of her brother. Her body language in the video is inconsistent IMO where sometimes I think she’s telling the truth and sometimes she’s being deceptive, like some of this happened but other things were added in to make it sound worse. For instance she could have watched a movie with her dad/stepmom and her stepmom was holding her with her arm around her but didn’t actually have her in a chokehold etc. I would love for a body language expert to analyze this. Let's just look back at this realistically: when she was with her mother/brother, she was being exploited for money and fame. Her dad gets custody and pulls her off the internet so she is not being exploited. Five years later, she ends up back with her mother and brother, and there are rumors and allegations against the dad, only for her to drop a new music video where she looks like she is auditioning for a role in the HBO show 'The Idol,' wearing tiny outfits and dancing around, and it is produced, created, etc., by her BROTHER. To me, it seems like her brother is behind making all of this up as a PR stunt to relaunch her career. Sadly, it seems to have worked. Is her dad guilty? I don't know, but I didn't see enough evidence to convince me. We have seen bruises and evidence be manufactured in other cases so we just don’t know if it is true here considering these people are known to lie about others. It isn’t hard to believe the father has a thing for Asian women and that he is involved with a woman that is a scammer considering Lil Tay’s mom was also involved with him and is a scammer. However, I have seen evidence to convince me that her mom/brother are exploiting her. I bet her brother is standing behind the camera in the video where she's using flashcards to call out her dad, STILL coaching her on what to say, like old times. It's extremely sad! In conclusion I think she needs away from both parents and put somewhere she will be safe from exploration and abuse from either side.
Body language and facial expression as a field of study is waaaay oversold. There's grains of truth to it but it's really not reliable as proof any more than a lie detector is. Please don't subscribe to that kind of bad science, that's the kind of shit that does stuff like labeling neurodivergent people who don't emote "right" as sociopaths. I know this isn't super related to the video but I really hate the rise of that kind of junk and people taking it as solid evidence.
